Congratulations on taking over this thread. Someone will bail you out during the summer months.
Is there a release date for David Bradley's song Hard Time Movin' On? Fantastic dobro, all-around excellent song, not sure how well it will fit into country radio's idea of what's country. Rodney Crowell sings background vocals. The song's on AllAccess and I've read some contradictory things about the plans for a country radio release.

Maybe I should read the website I'm affiliated with! But no matter when it was released, and however badly it performs at radio, this is a great song and if I get a few people here to read it, then I'll be happy. Thanks, someguy.

HeadlineCountry (twitter) Jason Aldean indicates that "Dirt Road Anthem" will be released as his next single after "Don't You Wanna Stay" peaks on the charts This is the second consecutive time he has announced a new single months prior to its predecessor peaking. Well, he maintained it won't be released until after "Don't You Wanna Stay" peaks, so I don't see how jumping the gun regarding its announcement will hurt him any. I am hoping "Church Pew or Barstool" and "If She Could See Me Now" will see a release at some given point this album era. Frankly, "My Kinda Party" strikes me as a definitive album, and a rare one where I think it actually makes sense to go six, even seven, singles deep in its designated cycle. What we'll most likely see is "Tattoos On This Town" follow as the fourth single to offer something with a bit more edge musically after a power ballad and a relaxing southern-fried spoken word-cured sing-along, then Aldean will push for "Fly Over States" as the fifth single because he has said repeatedly on record that he considers it his best recording to date. But if just about any album out there presently has a reason to go more than five singles deep, it's "My Kinda Party". Aldean has no reason not to, in my mind. The album consists of a generous fifteen tracks. He is selling out arenas left and right. He has a potential crossover smash with his current single waiting to happen. And on top of it all, it just sounds like his most realized, representative album to date. Namaste, Lisping Hibiscus

Just when it looks like he's going to turn the corner and head back down the "country" path, he releases something like this.

^I am waiting for single #4 to be released in February. At this pace, Jason Aldean should have his next CD out in the summer!

"Dirt Road Anthem" has actually been noted as the standout track of the album in several reviews I've read, and I've grown to really like the song. It's different, sure, but I think it will still be a big hit and if he's going to release it, I like releasing it midway through the singles choices. He's got plenty of big songs on this album to close out with, such as "Tattoos On This Town" and "Fly Over States" especially, so I'm actually all for "Dirt Road Anthem".
It is somewhat of a "country-rap" song, but it definitely has a country feel to it, a bit remniscent of Eric Church's "Smoke A Little Smoke", perhaps. I think it's got a certain nostalgia effect to it as well, and I think that will work well with many listeners.

It's also a good laid-back summer song and will be a good litmus test as to what radio thinks of Aldean. God knows his fans love stuff like that.

Well at least Curb isn't going to wait a couple years before trying again w/ her... that's good!
Hopefully she can make a breathrough soon, 'cause her voice is pretty freakin' fantastic. =)

Thanks for that Phil! I absolutely love "Seven Days"...it's right up there with "Somewhere With You" as my favorite songs on the album. Kenny has given us some great music. I could see it getting released next, and then maybe "Coastal", or vice versa...I'd prefer "Coastal" first, even though I don't like it as much (it's still good), but I definitely want "Seven Days" as a single. Great, great song.

I think it's a mistake for Kenny to go with a slow song as the next single. I like "Seven Days" enough, but it's by no means a standout for me on the album.

The Boot article that Typo linked to said that the video wouldn't be out until the fall. So, I don't think "Seven Days" will be next. I suppose it could be, but I'd put my money on a song like "Coastal" first, with it peaking in June or July, and then "Seven Days" as the 4th single. After all, Kenny's upcoming tour is the "Goin' Coastal Tour", isn't it?
But, I really, really like "Seven Days". Right up there with "Somewhere With You" as the best on the album, at least in my opinion.

I remember a video being made for "My Worst Fear" from Rascal Flatts which never went to radio. This new song from Kenny could still be his next one to go to radio though. :)

This new song from Kenny could still be his next one to go to radio though. :) That's right, plenty of artists have made videos that weren't ever radio singles. And it makes sense given that some songs just lend themselves to become a great video.

Looks like the speculation was incorrect---- TonyThomas Twitter: After a multi-week #1 with "Somewhere With You," @kennychesney's next single will be "Live A Little." Whaddya Think?

^I wouldn't say the speculation was incorrect...I'm still thinking that "Seven Days" will see a release, probably the 4th single. "Live A Little" should work well, though I'm surprised a bit that they opted for that rather than "Coastal". I can't see them going with "Live A Little" and then "Coastal", so maybe "Coastal" won't be a single?
The Boot article said the "Seven Days" video wouldn't be done until the fall of 2011, so it could still easily be a single.
