Miranda Lambert is going to be left out of top 3 - AGAIN
When will the label learn to release her albums outside the biggest rush? She has platinum sellers after another and yet still to have a top 5 album..

Why do that? Who cares about a chart position when your goal is to make money?

Like releasing it two weeks earlier would've made any less money?

Its better to sell less in the beginning. Breakaway didn't get a big open and it looks like it is 6x platinum. Haters will hate. I love the smell of fresh non-sequiturs in the morning! Did I say it was going to sell 6x. no. She won't ever get that kind of glory and success. She even stated that she doesnt want to be "breakaway kelly" anymore. I think the cd wilol end up being 2x platnium which is better than her last cd. It was an example that when good songs are released; good things happen. I think she has the chance to do well. Like Breakaway, it doesn't have a huge start, but in the end will do well.

This looks to be a more competitive week than 11/21 :o I think it'll be Susan on top for sure, but a three way battle between Miranda, Justin, and Jackie.

Let's go Carole King! haha. Hopefully it can do decently through the holidays. I still think it's hilarious that she's Jewish and putting out a Christmas album.

Nice debut for Michael Buble's holiday album. And a high for Kaskade.

The real question now being where will Kaskade land... first top 20, then top 10, now out of top 20? ???

Buble will definitely be the big Holiday release of the year. Wonder if he'll hit #1 at some point?

Looks like Micheal Buble sold well over the weekend. I wouldn't be surprised to see the album sell 2 million+ by January. Nice hold for Lady A as well.

That's great that Kelly got nearly 170K ! Hopefully she's slightly over that on tomorrow's billboard update.

PTB- are you underestimating the Biebs in the contest for the top holiday album? He may sell more out of the gate, but, yes, I also think that he probably will emerge the overall top seller come year's end. Clarkson's album probably will drop by at least 65% next week, so the album should drop to 60K or a little less.

Kelly is off to a decent start all things considered. The holidays will help her out quite a bit I think, hopefully it comes close to AIEW's total in the end

HG - no doubt Biebs takes top honors for release week - but as we saw with his iTunes singles, he should be somewhat front loaded. I'm sure he'll have no problem scanning a million before New Years.
If that Buble number holds, he'll open with roughly what Andre Bocelli opened with in 2009 - 148,527. He ended up with over 2.2 million sold that year.

Toby Keith raked in higher numbers than originally estimated.
But still, considering he produced a #1 hit off of "Made In America" and has produced his highest-peaking digital hit of his career to date with a non-single ("Red Solo Cup") with a cult video hit accompanying it..............those numbers still look slightly disappointing coming on the heels of a predecessor which sold 71,000 in its first week of release and yielded NO Top Ten hits.
*
It'll be interesting to see how well "Mylo Xyloto" performs in the longer run.
Its opening numbers are not far off from U2's "No Line On The Horizon", which sold slightly north of 500K its first week of release. However, unlike U2..............who failed to produce a decisive hit single off of that record...............Coldplay are poised to have their most successful airplay cycle overall to date (note I said "overall", in that I realize "Viva La Vida" will remain their unprecedented biggest hit to date) and they've enjoyed a great deal of promotion here.
I'd like to think this album will have stronger legs than "No Line On The Horizon", but there's no guarantee.
Namaste, lisping HIBISCUS

It looks like we may get 6-7 titles in the six figures on next week's chart: (my own predictions)
1. Justin Bieber 310k 2. Susan Boyle 230k 3. Wale 160k 4. Coldplay 150k 5. Miranda Lambert 130k 6. Florence and the Machine 125k 7. Adele 100k
ish

Presumably, the remaining 3 positions will go to Kelly Clarkson, Michael Buble and one of this week's new releases. This will probably be either Jackie Evancho or Lou Reed/Metallica.

Huge for Buble. I don't see him leaving the Top 10 for the rest of the holiday season. 17K for Kaskade is still awesome for an iTunes only release. LMFAO and Mumford & Sons having awesome longevity. Looks like they will be decent holiday sellers. Wale should do around 100K max this week. Any more than that and I'll be surprised. Not sure if he has a Cole, Khalifa, or Big Sean type following.

And what are their total sales? Beyoncé has a wider demographic as well.
