Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one on here who doesn't give two sh-ts about album covers. I loved covers of actual albums back in the day. CDs? Not so much.

I love the sassy picture of Hillary on the Lady A album cover, kind of goes with the vibe of Downtown to me. Dave's picture is fine, I think it's more interesting with him looking away since Hillary & Charles are looking toward the camera but why oh why did they put such a mediocre picture of Charles on the cover? Boo.
Brad's album cover is really awesome, love that.
Crystal's .... idk. I get that it fits her vibe but the airbrushing on her face looks odd to me. It just doesn't do her justice, I think she's much prettier than that. Just saw her in Portland over the weekend at a Kris Allen concert & she looked great (also she is so tiny!).

Andrew Cohen (Ashley Monroe's manager) basically confirmed to me that Ashley will be releasing a vinyl soon after her album release date!

Great tracklisting for TBP's album. Intriguing titles imo include "Don't Let Me Be Lonely", "Forever Mine Nevermind", "Chainsaw", "I'm A Keeper", and "Back to Me Without You". Can't wait to see how the whole product turns out, though.

Why do I feel like this new Kenny Chesney album is going to be nothing more than a dozen more "Beer in Mexico" rehashes... (aka his specialty)

April 23
Tate Stevens "Tate Stevens" (Syco Music/RCA Nashville)
Source: AllAccess
Single doesn't go for adds until March 11th...hmm. April 23rd seems too early. Maybe they want to get it out as soon as they can so that the people who watched X Factor don't forget about him, but I don't know if it will really make a difference.

^ Most of the people buying his album will probably be people who watched him on X Factor. It makes sense to me for them to want to get the album out sooner rather than later because of that, even if he won't have a strong radio hit to support the release by the time it drops. That said, I can see his album selling well out of the gate due to the name recognition from the show and then it'll have some longevity from the single once people who didn't watch the show take an interest. I think overall that their decision is pretty smart. I thought the same thing when I read that comment after seeing the cover.

The winner of season 1, Melanie Amaro, never got her album released and pop radio has had no interest in her 2 singles.

This song is absolute perfection. It's essentially the Country version of Kelly Clarkson's "You Can't Win", but it's better because it's a massively contradictory statement to her genre, and it glorifies in it. I cannot WAIT for her album.

Was she also nominated for Best New Artist though? Didn't she get that nomination the previous year? If that was her first year being nominated for anything then it was a lot sooner than I thought lolYup she's the last to do it at the CMA's. :) Ricky Skaggs-Horizon and Male Vocalist in 1982. Alison Krauss-Horizon and Female Vocalist in 1995. Thanks those are the two I was thinking of. :)
