ASG4, what you just said has nothing to do with what most of us are talking about right now. The giveaway was so 2 Weeks ago...don't you know the latest trend is the "tumbling down the charts" scenario. People who are LMAO at any artist tumbling down a chart is so immature.
That article above has nothing to do with the 3rd week sales.

Seriously guys, I know it seems restrictive when we tell you "don't talk about _____" but if y'all can't learn to do so without inevitably attacking each other and trolling I am going to have to do that. Stop being obnoxious.

BTW, how much did 20Ten sell? Was it certified? Did he do any promo? Why do you think there are no certifications for it? Do you think it will be certified?

Stans would not attack if others could discuss things withouth getting nasty. Doing the whole immature LMAO @ Madonna really flopping hard is just so unneccesary. Say what you want, but you don't have to be nasty, especially if you don't want to be "attacked" ASG4, what you just said has nothing to do with what most of us are talking about right now. The giveaway was so 2 Weeks ago...don't you know the latest trend is the "tumbling down the charts" scenario. People who are LMAO at any artist tumbling down a chart is so immature. That article above has nothing to do with the 3rd week sales. Actually, you may not want to go the victim route when defending stans. The evidence on this message board disproves that description. Stans have been on the attack since day one in the Chart threads that mention Madonna. (HITS thread / Billboard thread)The last few threads were turned upside down with the aid of stans - including one who posted at least 27 times in 1 thread. The 1st thread was turned into a gushing Madonna-fest by stans. When facts came out about the Madonna sales, stans attacked with everything from false bias claims and lies that were easily disproven to immature personal jabs. You (chartfreak) participated in it yourself and took the immature stan route too. Now that things are really not going the stans' way on the charts, the stans are now the victims & complaining about "LMAO" posts? Interesting. A couple of "LMAO" posts in this thread don't even add up to 1/10 of what stans have gotten away with posting in recent threads. It should not have been allowed. This is a GMN thread on charts/sales. The personal attacks need to stop...and stans need to stop playing the 'victim' when it suits them. The stans are not the victims. The real victims here are the people that have been trying to read and discuss charts for the past 4+ threads and were instead subjected to Madonna stan worshiping and/or caught in a battle with Madonna stans. It needs to stop. Back on topic...the HITS numbers are in and Billboard numbers may be out soon. Hopefully, the next charts discussion will be peaceful.

Good for Gotye, another 70K for One Direction, and so happy Lionel gets a #1 with this album! Yeah Madonna's drop is big, but what can you do? It might stabilize a bit more this week.

^ikr...seriously. I don't remember all these annoying posters before. I agree that everyone should be able to say what they want, but there are certain ways to have an online conversation.
I enjoy the charts, am I going to cry because MDNA is selling under 20K right now, no. Would I be happy if it was selling more, of course, no reason to lie.
Sorry but some, including MusicSTfan, aka Mr. Colorful, just want to keep rehashing the same thing over and over. Have a good evening all...going to eat dinner. :)

Go Gotye!! The effect of his massive promo push this week should be felt in next week's numbers as well. I would be THRILLED if "Eyes Wide Open" also becomes a major hit (it's catchy enough I think) and Gotye becomes a full-fledged music star.

SNL performances have much more of an immediate effect now compared to back in the day when we had to drive to the store to make a purchase. It's cool to see the immediate impacts.

People have way too much time on their hands. I wish I had all that time. Thanks about the prince info. The last prince album to chart in the us was lotus flow3er which opened with 179k physical cds and the downloads were buddled with memebership and didnt get counted and has sold about 550k

Seriously- it's one thing to comment on an album's performance, but it's another to post and absolutely RELISH in the plunging- I mean, seriously, does it affect someone that much that a multi-millionaire (countless times over) has an album that's not selling as well as her other albums? If so, that's unfortunate. Like I said before, it's old news, so those finding such joy in such a thing really should look to something else- something more positive.
MDNA was a No. 1 album any way you look at it, and, per the industry final-word source, likely would have been No. 1 without the album cost worked into the concert-ticket cost. And as a fan, I'm pleased with the debut showing and the album itself. I'm aware that her albums are not going to sell or hold up like they once did (most don't, after all). And now the album's plunging in sales, for reasons discussed ad nauseum. There's nowhere for it go but down, down and down. Similar to 2003's American Life- and she was just fine following that relative chart disappointment.

Except you never posted in a hot 100 thread till MDNA came around. I don't remember seeing all those red and blue colors before. Wrong. As I have posted at least twice in recent Madonna-filled Charts threads, I have been posting here since 2004 - 5 Years before you arrived. In that time, I have created HITS threads and other GMN threads on everyone from T.I. and Tim McGraw to Justin Timberlake, and others...including Bruce Springsteen. Those posts are from 2006 and 2007. Note that my "colorful" posting style has not changed. I posted those links about a week ago. This is at least the 3rd time I've posted them since the "MDNA" stans took over the original HITS thread. Just because I, and others, post in a thread where Madonna's name is mentioned it does not mean that we only come out of hiding to post about "MADONNA." I've actively participated in CHARTS discussions here on Pulse since at least 2006 and was a member of the original Radio & Records message boards where charts were discussed. I hope to continue to take part in chart discussions. I hope the chart discussions go back to normal at some point. Apparently, that won't happen today. The discussions in next weeks thread should die down a bit at least since Madonna won't be in the HITS projection numbers I hope so!

You're all annoying. I'd lock this topic if my iPad allowed me because some of you can't simply move on. It was talked about last week and there's nothing more to say since people are too sensitive and the rest can't stop repeating the same trolling comments over and over.

even though Monica's numbers fell way off from the last album (expected, that album had a reality show, a huge #1 R&B hit, and a better label---RCA is garbage for her genre), at least it was enough in these days to debut #5.
