Her set last night was fantastic, and she's actually hilarious too, great personality. I took a pic, and she asked me if I could see her panties in it, LOL. She sang Song, Uncharted, Brave, and like 3 other new songs. I haven't streamed the new record yet, so not sure on the titles.

I was hoping to enjoy this album a bit more on the first listen. At the moment, Manhattan and Eden are the standouts for me. I'll give it another try.

Does anyone else hear Sarah McLachlan when they play "Satellite Call"?

The Blessed Unrest is another solid album from Sara. I Choose You, Little Black Dress, and Hercules are my top three at the moment. Definitely going to buy the Target version on Tuesday!

Good, but not loving this as much as Kaleidoscope Heart yet. Does anyone else hear Sarah McLachlan when they play "Satellite Call"? Kind of, yeah (need to listen again more closely). Likewise, someone else needs to tell me they hear the HAIM influence on "Eden."

Chasing the Sun is by far my favorite! It's a smash waiting to happen!

I think the album is doing above 90k and you? Projected to debut at #2 next week with 60-65k. Little Voice debuted at #45 with 16k (1m to date). Kaleidoscope Heart debuted at #1 with 90k (441k to date).

I only listened to this once so far, yesterday while at work so I wasn't fully paying attention but some of the songs did catch my attention. That's something I never really got with either of her other two so while I like her singles and a few songs from each album, I've never gotten into a Sara album as a whole before. I'm thinking that may change after a few listens with this one.

I've only listened to this once and that was in the car. I didn't really pay full attention to every song, but from the first listen, this is EASILY her worst album in my opinion.

Only cared about Gravity until now. That may change after listening to the clips from this new album. Sounds really nice.

I streamed the album on Google Play and I liked every song.
My favorites upon first listen are "Manhattan" , "Hercules", "Chasing the Sun" and "Brave".

Magna Carta . . . Holy Grail easily blocks the arriving Sara Bareilles, who bows at No. 2 with The Blessed Unrest, selling 68,000 copies. The singer/songwriter's last full-length studio album, 2010's Kaleidoscope Heart, debuted at No. 1 with a start of 90,000.

Kaleidoscope Heart remains her best album, but this is damn good. "Chasing the Sun," "I Choose You," and "Manhattan" are the stand-outs.

Kaleidoscope Heart remains her best album, but this is damn good. "Chasing the Sun," "I Choose You," and "Manhattan" are the stand-outs. Don't forget "Hercules". The chorus is so hauntingly captivating. In particular the chorus that follows the bridge. The desperation in her voice just gets to me.

December is hands down my fave song on the record. It's the closest to Gravity she's ever done, so far.

Satellite Call is one of the best songs on the album. so good. I think the next pop single should be Eden or I Choose You, I'd go with Eden but I think both can be good sized hits on the pop/hot ac format.

My two cents: "I Choose You," maybe. "Eden" not unless HAIM gets big here (which won't happen, at least not on pop). "Chasing The Sun" should be next. I'm expecting a three-single release ("Brave," "Chasing The Sun," "I Choose You") like last era, though without a big pop hit this time around.

Funny you should say that because I really got into that song yesterday though I feel like "Manhattan" is the strongest ballad on the record. My two cents: "I Choose You," maybe. I'm expecting a three-single release ("Brave," "Chasing The Sun," "I Choose You") like last era, though without a big pop hit this time around. IA but I honestly think that they're going with "I Choose You" next since it's getting the most promotion out of everything besides "Brave" and I think it might be a more relatable track lyrically speaking than "Chasing the Sun", though Sun has a much stronger melody imo.

It's all about Eden in my book. The Prince/Martika vibe from it brings me such joy.

I agree, but possibly only because it personally resonates with an experience I've had in a way "December" doesn't.

She actually reminds me of a less boring and more talented Adele.

SARA BAREILLES HAUNTS SLEEP NO MORETHURSDAY, AUGUST 01, 2013 | POSTED BY: MATT HOWARD We've become quite acclimated to the traditional New York City rock club venue; all of which have their own alluring identity, whether it's neighborhood proximity or musical history. But in reality, they're mirror images of one another: towering balconies where a spot at the railing is sought after real estate. Recently, we escaped the normal settings for a one-of-a-kind performance by recent New York migrant Sara Bareilles, who took charge of the piano behind the eerie haze of the Manderley Bar at The McKittrick Hotel following the spectral Sleep No More theatrics. Sarah, who earlier in the evening suited up to live out her own personal dream of participating in the otherworldly theater performance (she was dressed as a nurse), welcomed a packed lounge with songs off her latest album, The Blessed Unrest, including the fervent hit "Brave" as well as the poignant "Manhattan". We're thrilled to be sharing this rare concert experience with you all.
