Any reason why TIHWD doesn't have a thread in the Pop section?

Any reason why TIHWD doesn't have a thread in the Pop section? Because it's a horrible single choice and Pulse is shunning it

I don't think this is a bad single choice at all. Sure it's immature, but it's ear candy. Let's hope the lyric video and especially the official video are up to par for this one. And plz....don't be afraid to discount!! Nothing wrong with it. Do something on iTunes at least. We saw how Birthday jumped to #13 with the AMA's promo. So it's a matter of exposure.

I wish her team would reconsider and release Legendary Lovers. I believe it can pull a Dark Horse race. I hope it is not pushed aside before the era ends. I think I read somewhere that Katy has said that it will be a single. Praying.

OMG Her show was fantastic last night!!! I enjoyed it more than the artRAVE Her costumes were cute, dancers on point, audience interaction was genuine, and every segment was high-energy and engaging. I won't go into too much detail so as not to spoil specifics, but the set list was a nice balance between most of Prism + hits from the first two albums. She also did an acoustic segment where she just stood and sang, and she sounded great! I guess she can't quite perfect dancing and running around the stage while singing well at the same time.

Saw her live on Tuesday. She was amazing. Voice was great, dancing was great, and the visuals were amazing. She did a great job with all of lights and visual effects. She played all of her hits from the Teenage Dream era, a few hits from One of the Boys and a majority from her Prism album. Not to mention, she interacted a lot with her audience. Took selfies with some fans and even invited a few on stage. It was a really great show and I'm gonna try to see her show again. Also, Katy has quite the sense of humor. I could see us being friends

This is How We Do. I wish it were Rita Ora's "How We Do (Party)" instead. Catchier, overlooked track.
Saw Katy's tour at Barclay's on Friday. Holy Moly. What a show! From start to finish, I was blown away. My favorite part was probably the acoustic section with Ferras joining, and also the medley of "The One That Got Away and Thinking Of You." "By the Grace of God" was gorgeous.
Walking on Air was every bit of spectacle I hoped it would be. She seriously tore up that stage. Any chance that HBO is going to tape one of her shows and air it? Or any network? I need to have a Blue Ray/DVD of this concert!!

Yeah, her L.A. shows sold out with the quickness so I'm keeping fingers crossed for a DVD!

I want another "Teenage Dream" pt. 2. It's been four years since it was released. :'( That song was everything!

I play TD from time to time. Very melodic, Stargate is top notch on that part of production.

TD was Luke, Martin, and Blanco. Stargate did Firework and Peacock.

There was a thread on the next SB performer a few months back and some people did bring her up. My thoughts are still pretty much the same: As little as 2 years ago, the idea of a Katy Perry halftime show would have been completely laughable and ludicrous even to think about as a reality, but now, I could kinda see it happening. I don't think she's really capable as a performer of pulling it off right now, but the BEP technically didn't do a good performance, but the way they structured their setlist and segued it was absolutely impeccable. So much so that it really covered most of their faults up well. I can see a similar approach working for Katy, her catalog is diverse enough now to to do that.

i thought she was a shoo-in for last year with the BIG announcement, but it turned out to be high school Roar related.

I am so here for a KP half time show.

The media would be merciless. So I'm for it. They haven't said anything about her other live performances, so why would they start now? The Super Bowl is much more mainstream and central than award ceremonies or most other places Katy has performed.

I think it's much more likely to be TSwift this year than Katy. I'd love to see a variety of people though like they did in the early-2000s.

Katy Perry's 20 Biggest HitsThe most chart-dominating hits from the RS cover star Katy Perry's role as one of our generation's biggest hitmakers is indisputable. She's spent as much time at Number One as Janet Jackson, she's one chart-topper away from Stevie Wonder's numbers, only Michael Jackson can release a single album with as many summit-climbing hits as Teenage Dream, she's the only artist in history to spend an entire calendar year in the Top 10. In honor of her third Rolling Stone cover, here's a rundown of the 20 biggest hits that got her there: www.rollingstone.com/music/pictures/katy-perrys-20-biggest-hits-20140730#ixzz38yxAUaSR 20. "Not Like the Movies" 19. "Who You Love" (John Mayer feat. Katy Perry) 18. "If We Ever Meet Again" (Timbaland feat. Katy Perry) 17. "Walking on Air" 16. "Thinking of You" 15. "Birthday" 14. "Unconditionally" 13. "Waking Up in Vegas" 12. "The One That Got Away" 11. "Hot n Cold" 10. "Wide Awake" 9. "Part of Me" 8. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" 7. "Teenage Dream" 6. "Roar" 5. "Firework" 4. "Dark Horse" (feat. Juicy J) 3. "E.T." (feat. Kanye West) 2. "California Gurls" (feat. Snoop Dogg) 1. "I Kissed a Girl"

That's just a list of Katy's discography from highest peak (including # of weeks at #1) to lowest.
I would say that it should be something like:
1.) Dark Horse 2.) Firework 3.) E.T. 4.) California Girls 5.) Hot N Cold 6.) I Kissed a Girl 7.) Roar 8.) Teenage Dream 9.) Last Friday Night 10.) Wide Awake 11.) Part of Me 12.) The One That Got Away 13.) Waking Up In Vegas 14.) Unconditionally 15.) Birthday 16.) Thinking of You
