I think it's much more likely to be TSwift this year than Katy. I'd love to see a variety of people though like they did in the early-2000s. Well the SuperBowl is sponsored by Pepsi, Taylor Swift has an endorsement deal with Diet Coke could this have an impact? Also Katy's album was in partnership with Pepsi.

If I was a betting person, I'd put my money on either Garth Brooks or Shania Twain, who both are expecting new albums. God no @ a Katy Perry halftime show. Katy would be a good candidate, because of her appeal to the masses (which not a lot of pop singers can do). But with the exception of a few ballads, she's not very good vocally, and I can see old people, country fans, and everything in-between criticizing her performance already.

Good point on Taylor & Coke. Probably would be an issue. I just don't see Katy doing it this year. If this era had been another Teenage Dream with every single being a monster smash then I'd say absolutely yes. She'll definitely headline the show one day though I have no doubt.

That's just a list of Katy's discography from highest peak (including # of weeks at #1) to lowest. I would say that it should be something like: 1.) Dark Horse 2.) Firework 3.) E.T. 4.) California Girls 5.) Hot N Cold 6.) I Kissed a Girl 7.) Roar 8.) Teenage Dream 9.) Last Friday Night 10.) Wide Awake 11.) Part of Me 12.) The One That Got Away 13.) Waking Up In Vegas 14.) Unconditionally 15.) Birthday 16.) Thinking of You I'd put Roar at number 4. It was massive, top 10 year end after like only 15 chart weeks. Fastest song to reach 1-2-3(?) million, with great longevity. IKAG and Cali Gurls were both very frontloaded, especially the former, and Hot N Cold never felt that big.

HOT N COLD was HUGE. It felt bigger or at least as big as IKAG.

HOT N COLD was HUGE. It felt bigger or at least as big as IKAG. Hasn't H&C outsold IKAG by almost a million despite being a later single? The #3 peak is so underwhelming in terms of its popularity. Not many artists would say a #3 peak is underwhelming, but....

whatever happens for the rest of the era, I was literally SAVED by this song. I lost my way and was in a dark room and the lyrics and video and all the colors and cute animals fed my soul. One of the greatest songs ever recorded, a breath of fresh air. I owe everything to this song, THANK U LAWWWD

I think "This Is How We Do" is growing on me.
It's at least better than "Birthday" for sure, and it's video is better than anything from this era except "Roar".

I went to the Prismatic Tour on Tuesday in Kansas City at the Sprint Center... Let me say, it was a phenomenal show. It's obvious she has been working on her live vocals. They were ON POINT. Also, her audience interaction is perfect. You can see that she is always looking out at the audience and interacting with people who aren't even in the front couple of rows - she interacted with me TWICE and I was row 2 on the lower level, I wasn't even floor level. During TIHWD I was doing some hand motion, she looked at me, pointed, and started copying the same hand motion. And during birthday when she was flying around on her big balloons, looked right at me, then looked away, then purposefully craned her neck back toward me, smiled, and waved. And I know I'm not the only one who had those interactions. I know a few other people who were at the concert in different areas, and some got to interact with the dancers, and some had Katy look at them too and smile and stuff. It was awesome. She pays so much attention to her fans and is always looking out at the audience during the show. So if you are on the fence about going - go. It was epic. I took some great shots, and you can look at them on my instagram if you want. The show was amazing instagram.com/peterawrr?modal=true

in 2014 we took our kids to 3 shows (all their choice). They picked Miley, Katy and Cher. All 3 shows were excellent too! I mean you can't get 3 women more different with Miley at 21, Katy at 28 or 29 and Cher at 68. This Is How We Do is getting more and more airplay too so it seems PRISM has a lot of life left!

Balletgirlmom, you are always a ray of sunshine and a haven of positivity. I legit smile when I read your posts.
This Is How We Do is not terrible. I just would have preferred Legendary Lovers. I expect one more single, if that, from this album. A good run, overall, and it's still selling.

Somehow kids seem to love Cher as odd as it may be. It kind of gives ME hope! Katy is a great role model for kids since she is talented and just a lot of fun. I too love Legendary Lovers and hope they push that one bigtime!!!! I want our Katy to have a 10th #1. I think she has had 9. I hope Katy's career lasts as long as Cher's. OK, if Cher started in 1963 that means Katy will be around until XXXXXX. I'm bad at math but that's a long longggggggggggggggggggggg time!

I feel like this era is starting to slow down. Katy needs a tv performance or something bring attention back to Prism.

The TIHWD making-of is great. I love it that she said she's inspired by Tumblr and that the video is a mixture of Tumblr and the Museum of Modern Art...
