@ "werk" I hope that's the title of a new single and that the flowers suggest a Spring release like Austin said. I need new Katy in my life.

Honestly, though, who didn't see this coming? She'll probably release a summer smash every year until she keels over.

Uh oh... she is coming to slay. Get ready ya'll! @lastinline This is so random, but who is that guy in your avi? He looks really familiar but I can't figure it out haha Back to Katy, I'm so stoked for this new record. I think she's gonna have another great era, especially with this new change to the Hot 100. I know her label will pull out all the stops to get her more #1's. We might be only 2 months away from hearing the lead single. I can't wait!!

I'm so ready for her new single! It doesn't really seem like that long ago that Wide Awake was on top. I wonder if that has anything to do w/ her 1st single or not. Surely it does. She's kind of in a league of her own as far as pop music goes. She is pop radio's golden girl, and given who she's working with, that will continue. This b!tch is UNSTOPPABLE!

With these new rules, I bet Peacock would've been a big hit. I remember a ton of fan videos.

I'm ready for something a little different. I liked her first album better than this last one anyway (I know, I'm in the minority), and "Wide Awake" and "Part of Me" both felt pretty derivative to me. If she keeps trying to replicate that sound I think her material will quickly become very stale.
I kind of expect this album to be more electro and experimental. We'll see though. If she has been working mostly with Dr. Luke and Max Martin, I think we should expect more of the same.

She's supposedly worked with Zedd so, if true, she's going more of an EDM route.

I was expecting a 'Circle The Drain'-like album after the divorce with Rusell, but now that she seems to be stable with John, I guess we'll get classic Katy, just a little bit more electronic and experimental, but not really a drastic change from her signature sound. It will probably be more 'ET' than 'Last Friday Night'.

I want some slightly quirkier stuff on the next album. I remember when she first started out, there was so much discussion of how offbeat her humor was and how smart her writing was. Especially being a Kelly fan, I was immediately impressed by her writing on "I Do Not Hook Up" and loved that she wasn't conforming. I loved TD but I kind of want something a bit different this time-- songs that only she could deliver with her sense of humor.

I want some dark stuff. If I can't have another depressing Adele album, then I need all of the other artists to release some depressing material to help satisfy the void, Katy included (even though it'll potentially be lyrically disastrous).
Kind of excited, nonetheless. If it means something will get the "Wide Awake" recurrent plays to diminish, then I'll take it.

I want new music along the lines of 'If You Can Afford Me'. That song is quirky and cute without being annoying. IMO, it's the centerpiece of that particular album.

I'm so ready for new Katy. Although Wide Awake wasn't that long ago, I miss her. I want another fun album that I love just as much as the Flawless "Teenage Dream" album <3

I think Cali Gorls and LFN were pretty humorous and unique as in only Katy being able to pull them off. I'm all in for another Teenage Dream as long as it has some of that I Kissed A Girl edge. It remains my favorite song of hers and it'll be intreresting to see what she comes up with for the new album. I hope for more pop/rock stuff in the vein of I Do Not Hook Up as the Carrie fan above said. Only catchier and less stale meaning mixed with some dance influence and Teenage Dream candy.

I'm very much looking forward to her return and new music, despite how tired of her I grew last era. Pop music is pretty boring at the moment, and knowing how well she works with Dr. Luke, I know she'll churn out some great pop material. More Teenage Dream-esque songs with more of a dance influence would be just fine by me. If it means something will get the "Wide Awake" recurrent plays to diminish, then I'll take it. LOL, anything to get that song off the radio.

Also I just realized, didn't she say her next era will be dark? Flowers are srs business I guess. The sound could be darker even if the image is not...some heavier bass lines along the lines of E.T., but for her look to be as glossy and pop-star as ever. (Random thought, if she had some stuff in the vein of Ellie Goulding's "Figure 8" or "Only You" that could go over really well, though I'll be kind of annoyed that Ellie herself hasn't had that level of success post-Lights.) I have no wish list b/c that would only be setting myself up for disappointment; so I just hope I enjoy it. Realistically I'm expecting the hate/love pattern I have had with her single releases to continue (and since I loved Wide Awake I'm bracing myself for LOATHING her lead single).

Also, I find Wide Awake amazing in all aspects and never get tired of it so I'm glad it's getting all that recurrent play.

She's supposedly worked with Zedd so, if true, she's going more of an EDM route. I'm so stoked that she is working with Zedd. I think he's going to be the next big thing that everyone will want to work with. His work so far has been pretty darn good, so I'm betting whatever he is creating with Katy is going to be infectious. Until she starts slaying their faves again :'( Competition is good for music, plus it's fun. She isn't making other singers irrelevant, so it's all good. @lastinline This is so random, but who is that guy in your avi? He looks really familiar but I can't figure it out haha Sam Witwer. He plays Aidan on the US version of Being Human on Syfy.
