Green Day also is releasing part 2 in November and part 3 in January. Not sure if that'll help or hurt Uno!.

No Doubt probably still won't hit 500K if they don't have another hit from the record.

Green Day also is releasing part 2 in November and part 3 in January. Not sure if that'll help or hurt Uno!. Hurt. I think all 3 will just scan ~600k. That's why GD should have just went with 1 album. Yes, the holidays are coming up, but without hit singles, will their albums sell?

As long as they don't drop out of the top 100 in the next 7 or 8 weeks, I'd say they will benefit yes. I don't think they'll produce a hit, ND or GD, but if they make some more TV appearances etc they might do OK

Three Days Grace, Diana Krall Albums Top 10 Bound on Next Week's Billboard 200 October 05, 2012 | By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles As previously reported, it seems Mumford & Sons' new album, "Babel," will hold at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week. Label sources suggest the album could sell 150,000 or more in its sophomore frame. That should be enough to block any new releases from taking the top slot. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Oct. 10. Even with Mumford & Sons holding onto the penthouse, there won't be a lack of action happening in the top 10. Upwards of six new albums may start in the region, led by Muse's "The 2nd Law," which seems to be a lock for a No. 2 bow. The album could move upwards of 110,000 and will benefit from a performance on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. Miguel's second release, "Kaleidoscope Dream," is poised for a No. 3 debut (60,000 or so), while Three Days Grace's "Transit of Venus" could enter with 55,000 to 60,000. The latter's last album, 2009's "Life Starts Now," bounded in at No. 3 with 79,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Two-time Grammy Award winner Diana Krall is set for her fifth top 10 album, as "Glad Rag Doll" should sell around 50,000. She's visited the top 10 before with 2009's "Quiet Nights" (No. 3); 2006's "From This Moment On" (No. 7); 2004's "The Girl In the Other Room" (No. 4); and 2001's "The Look of Love" (No. 9). "Glad Rag Doll" will easily lock up Krall's tenth No. 1 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart. Rounding out the possible top 10 debuts for next week is British singer Cher Lloyd. Her debut album, "Sticks & Stones," might sell 30,000 copies. In her native U.K., the effort peaked at No. 4 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart. Lloyd found success on the Billboard Hot 100 chart earlier this year with the No. 12 hit "Want U Back." Twelve-year-old singer Jackie Evancho could notch her third top 10 album. The artist's latest album, "Songs From the Silver Screen," is aiming for a start of 35,000 or more. The covers set includes Evancho's takes on "My Heart Will Go On," "What a Wonderful World" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." The big-voiced singer has claimed top 10 albums with 2010's "O Holy Night" EP and the following year's "Dream With Me." On Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart (below), Mumford & Sons is No. 1, followed by Muse and Miguel at Nos. 2 and 3. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking, reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. As for the rest of the Building chart's top 10: Three Days Grace is No. 4 while P!nk's "The Truth About Love" is No. 5. Lloyd, Krall and Evancho are Nos. 6 through 8, respectively. Rounding out the top 10 are Little Big Town's "Tornado" (No. 9) and the "Cruel Summer" compilation (No. 10). Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart Rank LW BB 200 Artist Title 1 1 Mumford & Sons "Babel" 2 NEW Muse "The 2nd Law" 3 NEW Miguel "Kaleidoscope Dream" 4 NEW Three Days Grace "Transit of Venus" 5 4 P!nk "The Truth About Love" 6 NEW Cher Lloyd "Sticks & Stones" 7 NEW Diana Krall "Glad Rag Doll" 8 NEW Jackie Evancho "Songs From the Silver Screen" 9 9 Little Big Town "Tornado" 10 7 Various Artists "Cruel Summer" The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales. Carly Rae Jepsen is not dropping as fast than I thought. Maybe she has a future as a pop star.

Will be interesting to see how well Adele does. I'm sure she will see a decent increase with the hype/buzz around "Skyfall".

^I'm not sure. Skyfall is not on the album, of course. Of course. But the extra hype/exposure should help her. It gave her a small sales spike in the UK. It went form the mid 20s back into the top 10 on the itunes album chart and rose in the official UK chart published on Sunday. It might rise again this week too.

Just like how all the hoopla about 21 caused 19's sales to surge.

Not sure if they can outsell Streisand or even Mumford, but it would be nice to see Kiss finally get their first number one album (in a nearly 40 year career!). Especially since they were on track to get their first number one last time out (with 2009's Sonic Boom) until Michael Buble's label upped his release date by 4 days at the last minute.

Just like how all the hoopla about 21 caused 19's sales to surge. The difference though is that this is a single that you can't buy in physical stores, so Skyfall may cause a digital bump for 21 but people will not be running out to Target necessarily because of it

Green Day down 79%, No Doubt down 80% and Lupe Fiasco down 80%. Ouch.
Muse also lower than I expected. I thought their last era was a bit of a breakthrough mainstream-wise, yet I think they did better with their opening week for The Resistance.

Nice upward scale to 68k for Miguel 3 14 NO DOUBT INTERSCOPE 23,467 -80% PUSH & SHOVE Ouch. What are the biggest percent falls? Were you asking for the biggest percent falls this week, or in chart history? As mentioned, Green Day and Lupe also fell as steeply this week. MDNA holds the record for biggest second week drop, with 88%. Born This Way also had a big drop, 82%. Anything over a 75% drop is kind of a cringe moment for me. It's just rough to see, but especially when one's first week numbers weren't particularly huge.

I meant the record. I knew 70% drops are common, but couldn't remember seeing an 80% drop before. I knew BTW and MDNA were way up there, but wasn't sure how much. I didn't see the other 2 albums were such big drops until someone mentioned it.

Yah, 80%+ is rare. MDNA's second-week decline was 86.7%, to be precise.
Drops of 70% or more in week two is becoming the standard average. Back in the 90s, second-week drops also were softened by mass merchant outlets having a different sales week than other reporters (Saturday-Friday, vs. the traditional Monday-Sunday). That changed in late 1998, when all reporters were on the same sales cycle.
Of course, in the digital age, factors such as iTunes and the ability to by individual album tracks has impacted albums' second-week drops (negatively).

I left the DMB album on there for comparison, because that one was also released on September 11 and was the clear #1, but look at how well LBT's album is comparing to such a big act like DMB.
