#50. "I Wanna Be That Girl" Album: Best Kept Secret Recorded before X-factor, when Leona was still trying to break into the business, this song offers a look into what she originally started out as - a more Urban/R&B styled Leona than what we see today. I love its mellow production, the layered and soothing vocals Leona has to offer. A great song to just chill out with and is one of a few in this countdown that will date pre X-factor.

Would be nice if you could respond with some words perhaps? Saying why you find it meh, or why you don't like it. :)

It just doesn't compare to her later material. Idk.

It just doesn't compare to her later material. Idk. Which is why it is #50 ;) I'll be posting 2-3 songs a day and will post the next song in a couple hours.

#49. "I'm So Into You"
Album: Best Kept Secret
Another pre X-Factor song, from the same album as the previous, this is an upbeat, slightly hip-hop, serving from Leona. With the "old school flavour" and Leona's vocal delivery, this makes for a rather pleasing song. It also reminds me of the 90s, which brings back fond memories for me.

#48. "Forgiveness" Album: "Bleeding Love" B-Side
One of a handful of B-Sides to appear on this countdown, "Forgiveness" is a simple, but soulful offering from Leona.

#47. "Paradise" Album: Twilight A summery, light song. Leona's angelic tone is on full show here, with her light airy head voice being used throughout the song, it is rather uplifting.

#46. "Stay" (Demo) Album: None A ballad and one of many to come on this countdown, "Stay" is a simple, haunting and beauitful song.

#45. "What You Do To Me" Album: Twilight Another pre X-factor R&B track, "What You Do To Me" is a great slow jam.

Forgiveness is alright. Same with Paradise. Stay is nice. What You Do to Me is kinda boring.

#44. "Don't Let Me Down" Album: Echo This song was written and produced with the help of Justin Timberlake, who also features vocals on the song. I think their voices blend well together, with Justin's lower harmonies helping to give the song more depth.

#43. "Colourblind" (Acoustic) Album: None Originally made and sung by Counting Crows, Leona covered the song last year on Hurt: The EP. However, amazon were giving away an acoustic version of the song not long ago to tie in with the album release. I prefer the rawness of the acoutic version and love the intensity of her voice.

Both were alright. I don't feel like Justin added that much.

#41. "Brave" Album: Echo "Brave" is a middle-eastern influenced song with big vocals at the end. The latter being somewhat of a trademark for Leona, as you will see as the countdown goes on!

#40. "My Hands" Album: Echo "My Hands", the theme song to Final Fantasy XIII, is a beautifully done ballad and fitted well with the game. Not releasing this as a Japan-only single to tie in with the game release was one of many mistakes the label made during the Echo campaign imo.

#39. "When It Hurts" Album: Glassheart A piano and beat-driven midtempo, "When It Hurts" is short but sweet.

I'm fairly certain "My Hands" wasn't the FFXIII theme in Japan. They had an original song; "My Hands" was the theme song for everywhere else, though. I enjoy it.
"When It Hurts" is nice. :)

My hands should have made top 20! It's such a great track! I love the lyrics to it.

"When It Hurts" is nice. :) Oh, I never knew that! Thanks Sorry, I haven't really payed much attention to the final fantasy series. My hands should have made top 20! It's such a great track! I love the lyrics to it. "My Hands" hasn't connected with me as well as the other songs ahead of it, but I love the lyrics to it as well! :)

#50 - I Wanna Be That Girl: Wow, great track and great way to kick off this countdown! :O I love the mellow, chill out production as you said and her vocals. She should do more songs in this style <3 #49 - I'm So Into You: Ok I really have to listen to 'Best Kept Secret' #48 - Forgiveness: Not one of my favorites melody-wise, but love the production #47 - Paradise: Definitely summery and light and her sweet, smooth voice takes the production to a whole 'nother level #46 - Stay: So so so beautiful, what a poignant vocal performance :'( #45 - What You Do To Me: Love the vibe in this one and, once again, her voice really suits this kind of R&B song. I love R&B Leona <3 #44 - Don't Let Me Down: Catchy, I really enjoy it and like Justin's contribuition to the song #43 - Colourblind (Acoustic): Her voice sounds good on it, but not a fan of the song overall #42 - Love Letter: Love it, especially the fact that it is guitar-driven <3 #41 - Brave: Love the middle-eastern influence, the production is great snd she sounds great on it. #40 - My Hands: The chorus makes the song! #39 - When It Hurts: LOVE it! Looking forward to the rest of the list, love the majority of the list so far!

#38. "Lovebird" Album: Glassheart "Lovebird" is a catchy and warm midtempo, " dum dum diddy", and is lined up as a potential single for the album in the future.

#37. "I See You" Album: Avatar: Music from the Motion Picture The theme song for one of the biggest films to ever be released, "I See You" is a wonderful ballad. Unfortunately, it wasn't released in many countries as it was album-only. A big mistake imo.
