#7. "Sugar" Album: Glassheart (Deluxe Edition) With a great production and a beat to move to, this song serves as one of Leona's best to date. The tone of her lower register on the song makes me melt. Not to mention her belts throughout the song are rich, beautiful and really make the song for me. It's quite different to what she has done before and I think she should definitely keep on doing things like it. The change in direction is a breath of fresh air!

6. "Come Alive" Album: Glassheart "Come Alive" is an experimental song for Leona and completely different to anything she's done. Her soaring vocals on the chorus with the dubstep-influenced production is so fucking flawless. In a way, it's a ballad with a modern and creative twist and it works so amazingly well. I really hope that it is released as a single from the album in the future!

5. "Glassheart" Album: Glassheart THE best uptempo she has ever done, "Glassheart" is an electro-pop dance song with elements of dubstep. Edgey, fierce and delievered with an attitude, this song is just fucking flawless. I cannot get enough of it and will never get enough of it. It just owns my soul. :'(

#4. "Can't Breathe" Album: Echo My favourite song off Echo, "Can't Breathe" is her most creative vocal performance yet. It utilises her signature head voice/falsetto register throughout the song and the production meshes very nicely with her voice. It also translated very well live and her amazing live performances of the song on tour a couple of years ago lead to this: Not many singers are able to pull that run off and none with Leona's tone! It shows just how much ease and control she has up there. That vocal run never fails to give me the chills!

#3. "Bleeding Love" Album: Spirit The biggest song of 2008 worldwide and going to #1 in 34 countries, "Bleeding Love" propelled Leona to heights not reached by a British female singer for some time. Its very relatable and poignant lyrics played a big role in its success and backed with a great production and amazing vocals, it was bound for big things. "But I don't care what they say, I'm in love with you" was the story of my life for a while. As a bisexual teenager in an all boys school, it was hard to express my love for other guys (especially this one guy in particular), due to attitudes towards homosexuality and the fact that they were all straight (well the ones I liked anyway). But back to the song, it really is a Leona song. I couldn't imagine any other female singer pulling off the song as well as she has. Even with the endless covers, no one has ever come close to Leona's version for me.

#2. "Fireflies" Album: Glassheart When I first heard this song, it hit me hard. The simple piano melody, with the gradual build up and orchestration of the song, coupled with Leona's voice and the lyrics makes for most probably my favourite song of the decade so far. The explosion at the end, of both Leona's vocals, the production and the full introduction of the choir, really gets to me. It never fails to send chills down my spine. I really, and I mean REALLY, relate to this song. It's definitely helped me out in my personal life, something that a song has never really done before. I hope to hear her sing this live on tour when I got to see her in May!

#1. "Run" Album: Spirit (Deluxe Edition) Every Diva has an infamous cover. Mariah has "Without You", Whitney "I Will Always Love You", Celine "All By Myself", Aretha Franklin "Respect" ect ect and this song became exactly that. The song, originally by Snow Patrol, was a choice of cover during a BBC Radio 1 session: It then went on to become very heavily requested and was put onto the A list of BBC Radio 1's playlist. She eventually went on to record a studio version for the re-release of Spirit. It was to become one of the biggest songs of the year and at the time, broke download records. Not to mention, she delivered one of the best performances of her career, one of the best performances I've EVER seen/heard and the best performance to ever happen on the UK X-factor stage. But what also gets me, time and time again, is that she smashes and delivers the song. Even 4 years after its release and being ill, she is still able to deliver very emotional and fantastic performances of the song: Now, onto the actual song. I LOVE how soft and vulnerable Leona is during the song. Delivering the song with such passion and emotion. Then at the end, letting it all lose. Not to mention the great arrangement on the song. It really gives it that special something and never fails to give me chills. The lyrics, the production, Leona's voice... everything fits perfectly into place to create my favourite song that Leona has ever recorded. I really hope you guys have enjoyed the countdown. Thanks for all the comments, likes, views and for tagging along on my Leona journey.

I regret not giving "Run" more of a chance originally; it's a great song. I do prefer "Bleeding Love" and "Better In Time", though.

Flawless Top3 Envoirment! I echo Slizzard's sentiments about "Run" but it's definitely a great song and a great presence in Leona's catalogue. I can understand why you placed it at #1 :) Thank you for doing this countdown: I loved your commentary and discovered great songs I wasn't familiar with plus I revisited some Leona jams!
