They usually post them on Thursdays, but since yesterday was a holiday in the US... I checked last year's Black Friday thread. HITS did not do a Top 15 "Weakend" chart.

Going #1 on the iTunes album chart means next to nothing in the end.

Going #1 on the iTunes album chart means next to nothing in the end. Usually it doesn't but considering how busy/competitive the chart is this week, I think it'll make a substantial difference in Pink's sales this week. Not to mention, she's also discounted at many other outlets like Best Buy, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target

iTunes is the #1 retailer so it does mean something.

Yeah Pink should definitely have a significant increase this week. I just don't think it will somehow roar to challenge for #1. I bet she will have one of the best holiday boosts though which would be great for her.

I thought iTunes only accounts for like 30% of the overall album market, though.

Per a September report, iTunes' market share was 38.23% (and 76% of the digital-download market (converting tracks into albums at 10 tracks per album). Of course, it sells a lot more individual tracks than full albums.

I'm confused by the P!nk #1 on itunes because she's #1 on the main page but if you click "see all" she's not, and hasn't been all day.

Itunes is weird right now...I keep seeing Adele's 19 in the top 10.

Everyone owns 21 so they're buying 19 instead! It's on sale for $6.99, though, so that's the reason for the big surge.

Will 19 out-peak 21 for the first time ever? Probably not, seeing as '21' likely dominated every other major outlet, but it would make for a nice little chart quirk.

I know personal experiences don't speak for the larger whole but my local Target and Best Buy seem to have over shipped on Rihanna and heavily under shipped One Direction. There were no One Direction albums at either and I got to witness two temper tantrums by two little girls who were not happy. Target even gave them the most shelf space this week.

More on Tuesday...

I'm thinking Phillips' album will actually sell better than the prediction. Out of the seven day sales week, it's been ahead of Rihanna for 4 days. It might be a four way race for number one. I feel like idol albums sell a bit better with physical copies than non-idols.

RiRi shouldn't be #1 simply for the fact she is with Chris Brown.

Too bad the charts doesn't care about morals & "logic" or a lot of people shouldn't have #1s.

^Course not- it's always been about what release has the most overall chart points, airplay or sales in a given week. :)

HITS: 10 MILLION ADELE FANS CAN’T BE WRONG:
Adele is headed for two major milestones this week as 21 crosses the 10m mark, while her DVD, Live at the Royal Albert Hall, will hit one million in total sales either this week or next.
The last time a DVD sold that much was Jay-Z/Linkin Park, which sold a million copies in its first four weeks of release in 2004.
Michael Jackson's #1s sold over a million copies in the weeks following his death, but that DVD was originally released in 2003.
