30. Radioactive Imagine DragonsFavorite Line: I'm breathing in the chemicals...The minute I heard this song, I knew I would end up loving it so, so much. It's one of those unique songs that really doesn't sound like anything that's out right now. It has a strong, thumping, fist-pumping beat, but it's slow. The rhythm flows through like an infectious disease, and I love that! One of my personal favorite parts is that electric guitar in the background during the chorus. It sounds so awesome. This song is such an event and I really hope that it will break out in pop after "It's Time" smashes. It's definitely not up pop's alley, but hey, you never know. This is still on my chart but has since peaked at number three. 29. Hit the Lights Selena Gomez & the SceneFavorite Line: It's the city of love that waits for you, but you're too damn scared to fly.Like "Love You Like a Love Song," this one too took me forever to get into. But I eventually fell in love with it. Something about that heavy dance beat got to me. The chorus is such an explosion of pop bliss. My favorite part is definitely the lyrics in the chorus. It talks about letting the music run through you and just letting go, while the rest of the song talks about the struggles of life and just pushing through it all. I love it! I really hate that radio never latched onto it. It peaked at number six on my chart. 28. As Long As You Love Me Justin Bieber/Big SeanFavorite Line: We're under pressure, seven billion people in the world trying to fit in.If someone had told me last year that I would have a Justin Bieber song in my top 100, let along my top 30, of 2012, I would just laugh my ass off. Well, here we are. Bieber came hard with "Boyfriend" this year. Hot production, but terrible lyrics and awful singing held it back for me. Then he came around with this. I tried it and hated to admit that it actually wasn't bad. It was announced as the second single and I knew that that meant I would be hearing it a lot, especially since it doesn't sounds like a Bieber song. So I downloaded it. The more I listened to it, the more I loved it. The production is super slick and it became such an anthem for my Denver trip. Weird anthem, but it became one. The week after Denver it shot up from number 23 to its peak of number six on my chart. The only downfall are the terrible lyrics of Big Sean's part. Ew. (How odd is it that Justin Bieber placed higher than both Selena Gomez songs?) 27. Ready or Not Bridgit MendlerFavorite Line: Ready or not here I come here I come. You're like a breath of fresh air in my lungs.Let's continue the Disney parade here with newcomer Bridgit Mendler. I first heard this song and though, hmm, not bad. The more I listened to it, the more it stuck. It became such an anthem. It's so funky and easy to listen to. It's just one of those songs that makes me picture walking down the street in New York City with shades on and a new age sport jacket. Ha. Or maybe driving down a long stretch of highway in the summer in a red Camaro. I just love this one a lot. This peaked at number two on my chart. (Blocked by the record holder for longest running number one which will appear later.) 26. Disaster JoJoFavorite Line: I am through it, I-I am through all the agony, and now my eyes are drying, trying, no more crying.God damn, JoJo is such a beast! Her music is truly amazing and some of the best music to ever grace my ears. Her record label needs to burn in Hell. She is truly gifted. Her voice is phenomenal, and she's such a beauty too. Everything about her is just pure 100% international superstar. This song continues her epicness. A piece of r&b tinged pop that is very reminiscent of her The High Road days. The lyrics are amazing, the production is tight, and her vocal infliction at the end absolutely make the song. When she sings Just disaster! towards the end in the super high note, it's like, DAMN! I wish her luck and hope she one day deserves all of the attention she deserves. 25. Die Young Ke$haFavorite Line: Music up, gettin' hot. Kiss me, give me all you've got.My queen has returned. While everyone else praises Gaga or Spears, I go for wild child Ke$ha. This song definitely did not disappoint me at all. The beat is undeniably catchy and the lyrics are undeniably Ke$ha. I love that in the verses she goes back to her sing/rap days. Very Animal of her. Lol. I absolutely love this girl and everything she touches is pure gold. So it's no shocker that this is the second longest running number one on my chart. It lasted for a total of six weeks. It would have lasted longer had its number one predecessor not been the record holder itself. (Whoops.) I think my favorite part of the song is the production in the bridge. The emphasis on the vocals along with those rock tinged hand clapping, foot stomping beats just sold the song to me. Love it. Love everything about it. 24. Spectrum Zedd/Matthew KomaFavorite Line: Breathing you in when I want you out. When I first heard this, it's like I took an acid trip and never came down. I've never heard such an epic production before. That instrumental itself was enough for me to download it. Hell, I would've just listened to the instrumental all by itself if that's all it were. It's so beautiful and epic and amazing and awesome and Brobdingnagian. Wow. It's just on a whole other level. Then you add in that VOICE! Wow! Matthew Koma can sing his ass off! Those vocals just match up so perfectly with the production and took the song even higher. I still cannot believe this was not a hit. It had all the makings of one and definitely deserved to be a number one massive, mega smash hit. It peaked at number two on my chart. 23. Lolita The VeronicasFavorite Line: Wild and exciting I'm breaking you down. You're making a comeback, I'm taking your crown. They are back!! Well, at least for one song. This song is pure fire. It's so dark, but so upbeat at the same time. I lvoe that about these girls. They're not afraid to go there. The first album was pop/rock bliss, but their second album delve into the dance and europop world. This new song delves even deeper into the weird gothic side of dance music. It has a thumping beat and hauntingly beautiful harmonies. All over a slick production that sounds like Ellie Goulding's "Lights" on acid. I really wish that this would have been promoted better over here in the states. It defniitely could have been a big hit for them, even despite the mediocre appeal in Australia. (Stupid Australia for completely skipping on this.) I HATE that their album was pushed back. I need it in my ears now! This peaked at nubmer three on my chart. 22. Good Girl Carrie UnderwoodFavorite Line: His lips are dripping honey, but he'll sting you like a bee.Carrie lost me in her Play On days. Apart from a few singles, it was otherwise boring and not worth buying. Then she came back with this foot-stomping, hand-clapping, middle-of-the-day hum inducing monster. A slick country production with heavy beats and rocking steel guitar made for quite a pleasure to the ears. Then Carrie begins singing. She hits some pretty impressive notes in this one that she never really showcases in past singles. Then she gets into it. A lot! I lobe her vocal inflictions everywhere. It brings the song to a new level of sexy and epicness. That electric guitar breakdown is one of the best things in country music this year. Especially when it goes away and Carrie jumps in with some killer falsetto. This peaked at number two on my chart. 21. Rumour Has It AdeleFavorite Line: She is half your age, but I'm guessing that's the reason that you've strayed.Speaking of thumping beats, in comes Adele with one of her hottest and sexiest songs to date. Now, usually we're used to Adele crooning and swelling over with emotion. Then we get to this song. A beat heavy tune with fiesty vocals. Adele becomes this bitchy goddess and there's no stopping her in her path of destruction in this tune. The production is downright killer and to this day it still surprises me that it's Ryan Tedder! One-trick-pony Tedder! Such a sick beat and ear candy. Of course, then there's that bridge. All slow and dramatic. It kind of brings the song down, but it's somewhat necessary. I LOVE the piano in the second half, though. Then it just stops... and then... BOOM! Bitchy Adele is back. Love it! This peaked at number six on my chart. Artists 7. Katy Perry 8. Maroon 5

20. 50 Ways to Say Goodbye TrainFavorite Line: How could you leave on Yom Kippur?Say what you want about this song, but I freaking love it. The mariachi trumpets just make the song. Then the song gets started and it's this nice thumping tune, but then the chorus explodes into your ears and it's just like, amazing! This song totally moves through you like no other. The lyrics are so bad that they're good. Obviously this song is not meant to be taken seriously. I mean, How could you leave on Yom Kippur? Really? Yeah, this song is not serious. I do have one bone to pick, though. 50 ways to say goodbye? Actually, there's 11. But all 11 are freaking hilarious and the video depicts them all so awkwardly and Hoff-ly. ;) This peaked at number four on my chart. 19. Hello KarminFavorite Line: Too hard, too soft, too rough, too posh! This song is epicly killer. The Nirvana sample in genius. The chorus is so simple, but so amazingly catchy. Then the verses come in and they are so... agressive? Yeah, let's go with that. It's so in your face and Amy just once again spits those rhymes in your face like other. I also love the build up into the chorus a lot. The diva-diva-diva meetcha-meetcha-meetcha parts are so weird but hilarious. I also love that this song is basically the story of how Karmin came to be who they are today, but the chorus can be taken as a power anthem. Great song, and I wish it had been a much bigger high. It peaked at number four on my chart. 18. We Are Young fun./Janelle MonáeFavorite Line: The angels never arrived, but I can hear the choir! This song starts with a cool drum beat and slowly builds with a piano. Nate sounds a lot like Tracy Chapman in the first verse. (I'm not sure if that's good or bad for either artist.) Anyway, I love that it just builds into a slower, but more exlposive smash. The "Empire State of Mind" piano comes in and the beat becomes even heavier and the rhythm just explodes. I LOVE Nate's climactic voice. It's such an entertaining and fun thing. Almost opera-like. I also love the lyrics to this song. A bar fight? Is it about taking virginity? Who knows?! Just take it how you will, and I think that helped it become such a massive hit. Then Janelle comes in and her bridge is so melodic and beautiful. Then the drums build in and up, up, up it goes, then soft. AMAZING dynamics! Love, love, love this song! It peaked at number three on my chart. 17. Pound the Alarm Nicki MinajFavorite Line: Yo, what I gotta do to show these girls that I own them?To be honest, I'm shocked this is so high! It just came out of nowhere to sweep into my top 20. Ha ha! I do really like this song, though. It's such a fun, clubby, dance pop song. There's really not much to it. The lyrics are pretty generic, but the beat is addictive and the production is pure fire. The fact that it never went top ten on pop surprises me. Especially with that killer alarm breakdown after every chorus. That just takes the song to another level. There's really not much else I can say about this one other than just sit back and enjoy Nicki shaking her boobs for you in the video. This peaked at number seven on my chart. (Seven! How in the world did it make the top 20?! Lol.) 16. Set Fire to the Rain AdeleFavorite Line: I let it fall, my heart, and as it fell you rose to claim it.Here we go! Now this song is BOSS! The piano is amazing. The vocals are stellar. The lyrics are bloody fantastic! This song is truly one of the greatest pop songs of our generation. The build up is abolutely orgasmic. When that chrous comes in, it's like, wow! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the way Adele sings "watched." She puts so much into that one word. It's more like WAHtch'd it pour! The production on this is pure amazing. The strings almost make you wanna cry. It's just so good. The best part of the song is easily the ending for me. It climbs and build up to the last few second when Adele holds out this amazing note and pous out every bit of emotion she can muster while the instrumental just completely melts down all around her. One of the greatest moments in pop music ever. This peaked at number one on my chart. 15. Turn Me On David Guetta/Nicki MinajFavorite Line: I, I, I, I! I,I,I I know you can save me.Ahh! I love this song so much! I remember downloading it while "Without You" was still popular, and I was so pissed that this wasn't the lead single. It's just so addictive and incredibly catchy. Nicki goes HARD on this song! No one else could have pulled it off as well as Nicki did. Her vocals are splendid in this one and that beat is completely stellar. David definitely blew me away with this one. It's not his typical sound, and I love that. It's much darker and more exciting. I absolutely love the bridge where Nicki just goes off her rocker and repeats the word "I" like a billion times. This also peaked at number one on my chart. It was also the first colab to ever hit number one on my chart. (To this day, it's the only one as well.) 14. Whistle Flo RidaFavorite Line: And I'm betting you like girls that give love to girls and stroke your little ego.Ha ha ha! This song is so freaking hilarious. I love the production on this one so much. It's got this epic summer feel to it that I just can't deny. The whistling is an amazing hook. Flo really made me a fan with this one. It was because of this song that I checked out his album and I immediately bought it. Such a good album. This song is so freaking dirty, but that's part of the reason I love it. It doesn't even try to hide it either. We all know "whistle" = "penis." It's filled with so many double entendres that I can't help but smile while this is on. My favorite part, though, is the faint clapping in the background in the chorus before the main hook. It's best heard in the third chorus. I love this song a lot. It peaked at number two on my chart. 13. Blow Me (One Last Kiss) P!nkFavorite Line: Eyes on fire, eyes on fire, and they burn from all the tears.I loved this when it first came out. Then I got sick of it fast. Then it grew on me again and I loved it even more than I originally did. Weird. I absolutely the explosion of fun and P!nk-ness in this song. The lyrics are extremely corny, but totally P!nk and the vocals are amazing. Only P!nk could pull off a song like this. It's so stomp your boots while everyone stares at you like you're an idiot. The production is pretty great in this one. I love the electronic sounds spread throughout the song. It brings nice breath of fresh air in between the extremely pop/rock chorus. I also didn't like the "shit day" parts at first either, but now they're part of the reason I love this song so much. It's a big octave and key change too, and like I said earlier, only P!nk could pull that type of vocal challenge off. This peaked at number one on my chart. 12. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Taylor SwiftFavorite Line: We hadn't seen each other in a month when you said you needed space. WHAT?!Here it is, folks. The longest running number one on my chart comes in at number 12. Nine. Weeks. At. Number. One. Wow! It also holds the record for quickest climb to number one. It only took it THREE WEEKS to reach number one! Wow! I love this song so freaking much! The beat is amazingly addictive. The vocals are hilariously chanty. The lyrics are so, so, so good! It's just such a fun song that shows off Taylor's personality. Weee-EEEE! What?! Indie record that's SO much better than mine. Lol. I can't even tell you guys how much I loved this the first time I heard it, and it only got better with every listen. So. Good! The bridge is hilarious with her "phone call." Oh my God! This song! Ahhhhhhh!!!! OOOO woo ooh ooh ooh! gbgfdhgbsrebgts 11. Want U Back Cher LloydFavorite Line: UH!Lolololololololololol. Here's another hilarious tune. Cher Lloyd brings the comedy is this great tune about regretting a break up. (Quite different from #12.) I absolutely love the production on this one. It's such a strong pop track with everything going for it. The best of the song, though, is easily the constipated grunting after every 16 counts. UHHHHH!!!!!! I really wish I could get into the rest of this chick's music because I can't deny how much I love this song. It really deserved to be even bigger than what it was. Only #10 on pop?! Ugh. Higher!! I also love how she lets her accent shine through and doesn't give two cents about it. It just makes the song that much crazier and so much fun to sing along to. Does she sound like a holicopter? This made it to number two on my chart. Artists 7. Katy Perry 8. Maroon 5

10. Where Have You Been RihannaFavorite Line: You can have me all you want, any way, any day. This song is really amazing. I mean, the lyrics are nothing to be amazed it since it's just the same few lines repeated over and over, but the production is out of this world. I absolutely love how it merges hip-hop, pop, dance, house, and slight Caribbean influences into one pure fire song! Rihanna even shines bright (like a diamond) with her vocals. She hits some notes that I never thought she could hit while still making the song sound sexy and sultry. I love it when Rihanna doesn't try to be sexy or slutty, because that's when she's at her sexiest to me. The breakdown is pure fire. It's also one of the best moments in music videos history ever! The video itself is great, but the bridge is downright amazing with the flailing arms, the many colors, and the cinematography and choreography. Ahh! So good. This peaked at number four on my chart. 9. Blown Away Carrie UnderwoodFavorite Line: Some people called it taking shelter, she called it sweet revenge.Carrie shines amazingly bright in this tune. Her vocals are VERY good in this one while the lyrics are great as well. It tells a chilling story of child abuse while metaphorically relating it all to a severe thunderstorm. The production is so strong as well. The heavy beat and light piano balance each other so perfectly that it's bizarre! This is definitely one of the best, if not the best, country songs since Brad Pailsey and Allison Kraus in "Whiskey Lullaby." I love everything about this song. I love how dark it is too. This really should have been released to pop radio. It would've been huge. This peaked at number one on my chart for two weeks. 8. Starships Nicki MinajFavorite Line: We're higher than a mother!Nicki brought us some hot pop with this one. It's such an infectious song that you can't help but get up and jam to. It's one of those that you have to sing along to as well. It's just an all around fun song. The production is overall very nice, but shines the best after the chorus. When that weird part comes in, it's like all hell breaks loose and the crazy inside of you comes out! So good! Nice "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" sample as well. ;) I just can't express how much love I have for this song. It really turned me on to Nicki and I'm so glad it did, becuase Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is one hell of an album. This peaked at number one for three weeks on my chart. 7. Brokenhearted KarminFavorite Line: Come on, that's right, cheerio!Ah, now here's a nice throw back type of song. It's so mid 2000s pop/rock, but that somehoe makes it so much better. Amy doesn't get to rap as much or as quickly as in the other two appearances, but this song still goes hard. The beat in like an earworm and that hook is amazing! Such a fantastic song. I'm so glad it was the breakout hit that they needed, because it deserved to be one. It deserved to be even bigger than it was too. I love how crazy it gets in the bridge as well. She just throws out these random lines about mullets and fashion that make no sense, but it's silly and that's what makes Karmin who they are. Love them, love this song, and I see big things in their future. This peaked at number one for four weeks on my chart. 6. Lights Ellie GouldingFavorite Line: Touch my own skin and hope that I'm still breathing. This song is downright amazing. Everything about it is just pre perfection. The production, the lyrics, her vocals, it's all just amazing. I love how it builds in the first verse with the cool electropiano sounds and then the light drum beat, and then comes the chorus with a nice explosion of synth. I just love the lyrics of this one so much. It almost makes me want to cry when sings. It's just so beautiful. It's one of those songs that just sounds so good but also makes you stop and think. This is one of the best pop songs in history. Period. Such an amazing song. This peaked at number one for four weeks on my chart. 5. What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) Kelly ClarksonFavorite Line: You know the bed feels warmer sleeping here alone. When that rumbling guitar intro begins, I go crazy. I LOVE Kelly Clarkson so freaking much. Everything she touches is pure gold. This is definitely no exception. It slowly builds into an explosion of awesomeness. When that chorus blasts on the stereo, you can't help but sing along, dance, go crazy, have fun, be yourself, and fall in love with pop's greatest modern voice. What really makes me love this song is that it was number one on pop radio, number one on my chart (for FIVE weeks), and number one on the Hot 100 all while I went to go see her in concert for the second time. She performed it and the crowd went insane. Everyone jumping to the beat, singing their hearts out, and just having fun. What a great moment to go with a song with such a great message. 4. Wide Awake Katy PerryFavorite Line: Gravity hurts. You made it so sweet, 'til I woke up on, on the concrete.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaking love, love, love, LOVE this song so freaking much! It's such a beautiful ballad, but what really gets me is the amazing production and rhythm in the pre-chorus. I'm a sucker for a good power ballad, and Katy straight up delivered in easily one of her best songs ever. I just love this song. Everything about it fantastic. The video made me love it even more. The symbolism of everything relating back to her life and career is just so cool. Add on the fact that this song is really perfection. It may not be completely original or brilliant, but it all just fits it such a way that no other song can really do. This peaked at number one for an impressive five weeks on my chart after spending an extra four weeks at number two. 3. Some Nights fun.Favorite Line: This is it, boys, this is war! What are we waiting for?But even the two five week number ones could not compare with a song that only peaked at number two. Proving that longevity beats peak positions is "Some Nights." This pretty much one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life. It's so climactic and exciting. It gives me a rush everytime I listen to it. It's the funnest song to sing along to. It's so opera-like, but I really don't care. It's such a fantastic song and miles better than "We Are Young." What I love is that the song is incredibly universal. Everyone can relate to it, and it spans so many genres. Pop lovers, country lovers, rock lovers, jazz lovers, hip-hop lovers, they all claim to like this one! It's just such a magical moment when an entire country falls in love with a song. It truly deserves to be the monster hit it became. It's literally the perfect song. Oh, and I love the auto-tune part. It's so weird, but so good. Artists 3. Taylor Swift 4. P!nk 5. Nicki Minaj 6. Carrie Underwood So this leaves only two songs and two artists. Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" and Demi Lovato's "Give Your Heart a Break." Kelly Clarkson and Rihanna. Who will come out on top? It will all be revealed tomorrow.

Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe (2 votes, 8.3%) We'll see. ;) Carrie Underwood - Blown Away (4 votes, 16.6%) Sorry, you 4. #9. Demi Lovato - Give Your Heart a Break (5 votes, 20.8%) We'll see. ;) Ellie Goulding - Lights (8 votes, 33.3%) Voted most likely to be my #1! Came in at #6. Had I discovered it a bit earlier, maybe it would have been. fun. - Some Nights (1 vote, 4.1%) Good job to this one person. It made top 3 at least. Karmin - Brokenhearted (0 votes, 0%) Well, then. Katy Perry - Wide Awake (3 votes, 12.5%) Lol. You guys know me well, then. Came in at #4. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (1 vote, 4.1%) Surprised this didn't have more votes. Came in at #5. Nicki Minaj - Starships (0 votes, 0%) Rihanna - Where Have You Been (0 votes, 0%) So was it really obvious these two weren't going to #1?
With roughly one month of points added in, here's what the best of 2013 chart is looking like right now. 1. Ke$ha - Gold Trans Am 2. Ke$ha - Crazy Kids 3. P!nk - Try 4. Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child 5. Ke$ha - C'Mon 6. Olly Murs - Troublemaker 7. Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven 8. Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble. 9. Carrie Underwood - Two Black Cadillacs 10. Ke$ha - Die Young A pretty good abundance of Ke$ha in the top ten.

2. Give Your Heart a Break Demi LovatoFavorite Line: There's just one life to live, and there's no time to wait, to waste. This song was an absolute monster on my chart. It spent 43 weeks on the chart through two separate runs! All while never peaking higher than number seven! What can I say about this amazing song? I mean, it's just so well put together. The production is amazing. The way it swells and dies away it spectacular. The bass and drum line are to die for. I absolutely love the piano in the bridge. Then Demi rocks it vocally in this song. She can hit ALL the notes! I love the emotion she puts into it. Especially at 2:47, when she sings "I can see it hi-in your eyes[/i]. So good! Such an amazing song in every aspect. 1. Call Me Maybe Carly Rae JepsenFavorite Line: You took your time with the call, I took no time with the fall.So Demi proved that longevity > peaking high. Carly proves that you can have both. "Call Me Maybe," a splendidly well put together pop smash, spent four weeks at number one and racked up a whopping 31 weeks on my chart. All the while smashing my eardrums with its epciness. Everything about this song is pure perfect. The lyrics are too adorable, the vocals are great, and the production, oh that production! The strings are such an amazing yet simple touch. Then you have that killer beat! This beat is so amazing that it inspired a dance craze based off of it thanks to the help of the Harvard baseball team. You know what I'm talking about. You're probably doing it right now. Left, right, cross, down. Left, right, cross, down. Left, right, cross, down. Left, right, cross, down. This song deserved everything it got. Literally everything. Such an amazing song, and truly deserving to hold the title of My Number One Song of 2012!Artists2. Rihanna1. Kelly Clarkson
