Entertainment Weekly recently had an article about the history of "F-Bombs", listing the recent likes of Cee-Lo, Pink, and Macklemore. While laying in bed I thought of a few more, but now that I'm awake many of them are gone from my brain. Let's see what else we can recall. Ground rules:
1) This is a nostalgia forum, so let's not come any further forward than 2005. 2) Let's restrict it to things that made the Top 40 on some chart somewhere; I'm just flabbergasted with how many posts there are in this forum of songs nobody's even heard of. 3) Let's go easy on the rap songs, where they may say F just for the sake of it, cursing at foes or hos. Let's have some context within the lyrics of the song, rather than just use as an epithet or such. "Get Back" by Ludacris would be a good example of a song it's not necessary to list here.
The older ones EW listed:
SEXY MF Prince F--- IT Eamon CLOSER Nine Inch Nails
My list so far: LONGVIEW Green Day WHAT IT'S LIKE Everlast WITHOUT ME Eminem ROCKIN' THE SUBURBS Ben Folds EROTIC CITY Prince and The Revolution (no need to start the "funk" argument again) LAST RESORT Papa Roach ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY Kid Rock HARDER TO BREATHE Maroon 5
And if you're interested in discussing the S-word or the B-word or the G-D word, why not start a new thread?

How about the second verse censored by radio stations for the Dire Straits 1985 song "Money For Nothing" that goes "The little F- in the earring and the make up...the little F- she's a millionaire!"

That's a different f-word. There was a big thing in Canada a few years ago regarding radio stations that didn't censor the lyrics of that song. The song won.

Staind's "It's Been Awhile" hasn't been mentioned yet. There's also Enrique Iglesias' "Tonight (I'm F**kin' You)" (radio stuck with the "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" version). -- Whoops! Wasn't paying attention to the rules.

"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. Terrible, terrible song lmao.
"I was fucking high" "flying high" in the radio edit. Totally surprised me when I heard it explicit lmao.
