YOUR ONE-DAYS: Yeeee-haw! Eeeeee-doggies! Et cetera! Looks like Nashville done got the week's two biggest debuts (that's a fancy French word for "new records"). Here's what's hittin' shelves and the danged ol' Internet this week:
Kenny Chesney (Blue Chair/Columbia) 145-155k Randy Rogers Band (MCA Nashville) 24-27k Jessica Sanchez (19/Interscope) 15-17k LL Cool J (Savoy) 11-13k The Airborne Toxic Event (Island/IDJ) 11-13k
Looks like even with Mama's Day a-comin', ol' Kenny should be #1 in next week's chart, beatin' that city slicker Michael Buble. Speakin' of which, Mama shore will be surprised when she sees we done got her that Predators beer koozie she's been wantin'. (5/1p)

Kenny Chesney on Course for Seventh No. 1 Album on Billboard 200
On next week's Billboard 200 chart, watch for country superstar Kenny Chesney to claim his seventh No. 1 as his new Life On a Rock should debut atop the list. Industry sources suggest the set could move around 140,000 or so by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, May 5.
It follows Welcome to the Fishbowl, released in June 2012, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 193,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. Chesney has been on an incredible chart roll for nearly 10 years. Since 2004, all nine of his regular full-length albums have debuted in the top four on the Billboard 200.
The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, May 8.
Meanwhile, Michael Buble's current No. 1, To Be Loved, is likely to slip below the 100,000 mark in its second week, while no other new releases are aiming anywhere close to 100,000. The next-largest bow on the Billboard 200 could come from Randy Rogers Band's Trouble, which may sell 25,000. The country group's last set, 2010's Burning the Day, opened at No. 8 with 29,000.

Will Fleetwood Mac's EP be eligible for the Billboard 200? It's only four songs, though, so...

Jessica Sanchez might be the first of any top two finishers of idol to not pass 100k Well they waited almost a year after her season's finale and she doesn't really have any sort of single...

^Odd- not that it would get tons of airplay, though. I see that the video premiered, like, a month ago, so that's been out. And they did perform it on {i]Idol[/i].

I didn't even realize Jessica's album was coming out this week. I agree with Josh, the planning (or lack thereof) is a mess. Throwing out a lead single with video but not actually sending it for adds until the week after the album's drop date (and over a month after its debut - and as far as I know, sole - performance, when any buzz or sales boost it might have gained from that has surely worn off) just doesn't make sense.

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/chart-alert/1560659/randy-rogers-band-aiming-for-second-top-10-album-on-billboardRandy Rogers Band Aiming For Second Top 10 Album On Billboard 200 Chart By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | May 03, 2013 Randy Rogers Band is on course for its second top 10 album on the Billboard 200, as the country group's new Trouble could sell around 20,000 to 25,000 -- so say industry sources. The country group's last set, 2010's Burning the Day, opened at No. 8 with 29,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, May 8. At No. 1 next week, look for Kenny Chesney to nab his seventh chart-topper with Life On a Rock. It may move around 140,000 copies. It follows Welcome to the Fishbowl, released in June 2012, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 193,000. Other albums that could debut in the top 40 next week include Jessica Sanchez's Me, You & the Music, Airborne Toxic Event's Such Hot Blood and possibly LL Cool J's Authentic. Watch for Fleetwood Mac's new four-song Extended Play EP -- the band's first new material since 2003 -- also to arrive. On SoundScan's Building chart (below), Chesney's set is at No. 1, while Michael Buble's To Be Loved (new on the current Billboard 200 at No. 1) is at No. 2. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. As for the rest of the Building chart's top 10: Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience is at No. 3, followed by Fantasia's Side Effects of You (No. 4) and Rogers Band's album. Titles by Blake Shelton, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Fall Out Boy, P!nk and Bruno Mars round out the top 10. Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart Rank LW BB 200 Artist Title 1 NEW Kenny Chesney "Life On A Rock" 2 1 Michael Buble "To Be Loved" 3 3 Justin Timberlake "The 20/20 Experience" 4 2 Fantasia "Side Effects of You" 5 NEW Randy Rogers Band "Trouble" 6 6 Blake Shelton "Based On a True Story" 7 11 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis "The Heist" 8 5 Fall Out Boy "Save Rock and Roll" 9 10 P!nk "The Truth About Love" 10 13 Bruno Mars "Unorthodox Jukebox" The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.

Lady Antebellum is out this week. Their last album debuted with 348k. After them, we have a weak releases I think George Strait will pull in strong numbers on the 14th. He's in the midst of his farewell tour, which ends in 2014, and there seems to be a general sense that his days of getting consistently strong airplay with new music at country radio are numbered. He's the King of country though, and there's a bit of an underground traditionalist movement (and by that I mean, a lot of people have been clamoring for more "real" country music, since country radio and the industry continue to support mainly pop/rock/country acts and not very many neo-traditionalists. There's still a big market for the traditional-leaning acts, though). I wouldn't be surprised if Strait manages to outdo his last couple of albums in terms of opening numbers. Then Darius Rucker's album on the 21st should do pretty well, "Wagon Wheel" is the biggest hit of his career and was already made very popular by Old Crow Medicine Show and countless other covers. It's top 10 all-genre on iTunes and a MEGA hit at country radio right now. Also, Hunter Hayes' deluxe album in June should do very well. It's got several new songs and a couple songs from his self-titled debut that have been re-worked as duets.

Wonder how Rod Stewart's first non-Songbook album in some time will fare. He is performing on The Voice this week, along with some other promo stops.

When I said weak releases, I meant that none of these upcoming albums are probably going to scan 1 million+. George Strait and Darius Rucker should scan 500k. Strait's last studio album missed the 500k mark though. Hunter Haye's re-release will push his album over 1 million sold. He's at ~750k now. I just find it strange that the next 2 months do not have any big name releases.
