twitter.com/ScottSeviourDoesn't have an adds date yet, but Scott is EVP, Marketing & Artist Development at Epic Records. Hope it's quite a lot better than Here's to Never Gaining Bullet. Apparently they have something big planned for it too.. Payola?

I hope this song inspired by I Love Rock n Roll. But, like, the Britney cover.

They're gonna add in Britney's "Ow!'s" all over like Avril's "Yeah's" in Cheers...

I don't think a Britney feature would be good for her. Yeah, she would get a hit but people would never take her seriously again considering she spent the entire first couple of years of her career bashing Britney and being promoted as the anti Britney.

I believe there was a brief interview with Avril where she mentioned it. She seemed very confused though. It could be true or it could just mean Avril snorted coke right before the interview.

Can't wait for this! It's so weird that Avril seems to always have buzz for her new singles yet it's so difficult for her to get a radio hit these days. It's clear that people are still into her so I hope that this song will be exactly what radio programmers want to play from her.

I this this might have a Clear Channel deal. I almost hope not because I feel it will make the song die on radio immediately.
Btw there is no collab.

Too bad there's no collab, because I think the right guest vocalist could've given this an edge. That said, I haven't heard the song yet, so I am still hoping it's a strong single and will be the smash she needs.

I feel a collab with a popular singer could've been a great way to reintroduce Avril to the top tier of the radio charts. She definitely will have to deliver hard with this one.

There must be something special about this single. This is the single that is going to promote the album. I think Epic learns from their mistakes faster than RCA. Hopefully the lyrics are much better and the song overall is more immediately catchy.
I predict that it's going for adds on the 22nd and 23rd.

Epic has managed to get Ciara a hit with "Body Party" so I think they could do something with Avril who's less of a CHR radio pariah.

/\/\ Body Party was a hit? I've barely even heard the song.. Not on pop yet, but it's the current #1 on urban and top 15 on rhythmic. It looks like it's just now getting a push to pop.

Pack it up. This artist is done on Pop and possibly radio altogether - at least, for a long while.

Pack it up. This artist is done on Pop and possibly radio altogether - at least, for a long while. How can you say that when her last single reached #20? If she was truly done, it wouldn't have even scraped the top 40. I mean, "Here's to Never Growing Up" could have performed like "Live It Up" or "Run the World (Girls)," but it did much better than those.
