Produced by Dr. Luke and the rest of his crew.

Does this sample a Janet Jackson song or something? Something is very Damita-ish.

I'm happy for his success and all but I much prefer the old Robin Thicke...the one who made great music but carry on make that paper if you must.

This sounds like a will.i.am production.

Gonna move this to the CHR/Pop forum; it's up on Interscope's promotional SoundCloud account. ( Link)

As I said in the thread in the rhtyhmic/urban forum, this sounds very much like OMG by Usher and Boom Boom Pow by the BEPs imo. I think this could do well, it's not exactly straight-up dance-pop. This will shock people coming from Robin though, not a song I would've pictured him doing (or Kendrick, for that matter), but I like it. If they decided to only keep one of the rappers on the song, maybe 2 Chainz would've been better, since this is more in his territory.
I love the production at the end (it wasn't there in the original version). I kind of wish the whole song was like that.

I like the melody but hate the instrumental. Sounds very 2010.

Not feeling this at all sorry. Smells like expired/dated Velveeta from 2009-10 and instantly hear a cheap mini me version of Like A G6. :# BL hands down is a brilliant, classic, smash compared to this lol Bring back Pharrell!! lol
Obviously it'll get instant spins out of the gate due to BL but no way will this even do 1/3 or even 1/4 of what BL worldwide/overall.

The only highlight and best part. If the whole song revolved around that beat w/ more polished and catchy vocals this def. had more potential :/ The fact it goes from choppy to barely a minute of super smooth at the end only makes it worse (as it's like two different songs) lol.

I like the "I got this for you, a little Thicke for you" line, but the "Hey girl / You know you're lookin' so damn fine / You're lookin' like you fell from the sky / You know you make a grown man cry... ANGEL!" - part is killer. It's pretty bad, but I dun care, I love it.

The production in the chorus reminds me of Marina & the Diamond's "Primadonna". Anyways, I can't wait for this to smash.

I've tried to listen to this two or three times and never have the interest to hear it all the way through. A shame, I love "Blurred Lines."
