• This chart seems a natural one week progression from last week's; no particularly big moves in either direction (except perhaps JAY Z's debut at #28) but not too stagnant either. Judging from the Mediabase updates, the top three may well stay the same for a while.
• Swedish House Mafia's (only?) hit is now the dean of the chart, with "Locked Out of Heaven" gone. "Locked"'s dropoff means Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are the only act with three songs on the chart (at least until "Take Back the Night" debuts.)
• "Still Into You", heard on AT40 for the first time this week, is the Subway Fresh Buzz Song.
• No Two for One this week, although either the Ke$ha or Black Eyed Peas extras could have served that purpose if placed after #22.
• Ryan said that Pharrell Williams is the first act since the Bee Gees in 1978 to actually appear on both the top two hits (though he isn't the main artist on either song.) Outkast had the top two spots at one point in 2004, but he disqualified them by noting that only one member of the duo appeared on each of their hits of the time ("Hey Ya!" and "The Way You Move").

While, technically, that's true (both OutKast songs are "solo" hits), the duo had label credit for the songs so, officially, OutKast were the last act to control the top two. Nice that someone on staff was paying attention and made the distinction, though.

Selena actually peaked at #3 on AT40 two weeks ago. Arguably, she should have been at #1 for a week, but was held back by the countdown being up to three weeks behind, and then by last week's overcompensation which effectively skipped a week.

Not a very bad chart. Two recurrents exit the chart. I never expected "Holy Grail" to make a big debut. Miley Cyrus has the biggest jump and Ed Sheeran has the biggest drop, like I expected. And we might see "Don't You Worry Child" on the chart for a very long time because as of now it is still inside the Top 30 on Mediabase charts. Plus, it's not as big as a hit as of those other No. 1 songs, only reaching #6 on the Billboard chart. But I just hopes it just exits ASAP.

If Swedish House Mafia holds a position on AT 40 for 10 more weeks it might be close enough to touch #1 Year End and pass Locked Out of Heaven. AT40 can dictate up to 150-200 plays a week and that could be crucial.

Good chart this week. At least it seems to not be behind a whole lot. Happy to hear Paramore being played and I hope "Still Into You" makes the chart next week. "Don't You Worry Child" is now the oldest song on the countdown.

I'm listening to the Hot AC version and he's interviewing Enrique and talking about his new song and it's hilarious because they're talking about the songwriting and "so this song is about having a good time.?" as if they're talking about a song where the lyrics actually have some meaning that is worth discussing. What a boring interview. Maybe they should all stop pretending what they talked about was relevant to anything.

So we get 2 pairs of back-to-back "C" songs in the top 10, though no new top 10 entries this week. It took me awhile
to figure out Better Off Alone is sampled in Play Hard. Only 8 extras, though in addition to EE, Ryan also interviewed Kesha and
Selena Gomez. The last few weeks my station is playing lots more commercials: The show starts on time and ends 15-20 minutes
late.
They should have put the Paramore song after #6 to lengthen that segment. Glad they didn't play Party Rock Anthem and also that
two of the older songs dropped off.

Thanks for posting the chart, but double check the Black Eyed Peas title. It's never been announced like that by Ryan. Also, "Jay-Z" is now all caps with no hyphen.

That's true. But I still would like to see it within the actual Top 40 for the year. I think they just randomly play songs as extras, meaning they are not necessarily songs 41 to 56.

Whoops; I forgot about that week, perhaps because "Stereo Hearts", while it looked like it might succeed "Moves Like Jagger" at #1, didn't do so until four weeks later, with "Someone Like You" jumping to the top for two weeks in between (on AT40, that is; the Adele song never hit #1 on Mediabase as I recall.) But if they're going to get technical about which member of Outkast was on which hit in 2004, then Adam Levine should get similar credit for this more recent feat, especially as, unlike Pharrell Williams, he was the leader of the main act on one of those hits.
