Any word on where "Work" is on Dance/Club Play chart? I really hope it can at least get to #1 there.

She usually destroys the competition with her remixes, but I'm kind of underwhelmed with this release as far as remixes go. I also think this is one of those songs that any remix cannot compare to the original.

There's still no news about an official remix package, despite there's some info about a UK promo release. Regarding the latter, Sebastian Ingrosso and Otto Knows produce the track, so I think it's really hard to top that tb h.

Maybe she'll present an award or something at the AMAs, but let's be real: she isn't going to perform. Even if she would, I'm guessing her contract with Caesars Entertainment wouldn't allow her to replicate any set-ups from the Vegas show, since they apparently have an exclusivity deal with her. She'd likely have to do something completely different, and I can't imagine that she would be willing to rehearse for a separate AMAs performance on top of rehearsals for Vegas. Anyway, I'm convinced that her team doesn't want her to do any promo performances for the album because they know that she isn't up to snuff and they're worried that any subpar performances will lead to negative publicity for the Vegas show. If that is the case, I don't blame them, considering her last decent televised performance was GMA five years ago. I have thought about his too, but seem stupid for team to try to conceal her subpar performance skills these days. I mean, they have a 2 year Vegas deal, if this is the case, what are they going to do when the bad reviews start coming out? How they expect to sell tickets for the rest of the residency if everyone is saying that she sucks? If they feel that Britney is in bad shape it seems stupid to go forward with this long contract for everyone involved, Britney, her team, and Caesar’s entertainment. I really don’t know what to expect from her though. Her last few TV performances and Femme Fatale DVD were awful. But I also saw her on her last tour and she was so much better live, you can look up youtube videos and see that was great most of the time. So at this point I’m just confused about their strategy for selling this show and her album. You want me to fly to Vegas to see this chick? Show me what you got. The thing with Vegas is most people don't go to Vegas to see a specific person, they go to Vegas to go to Vegas and seeing a show(any show) is part of the must do things just like eating at a buffet. So a big name like britney will get a lot of attention because most shows don't have big names attached, and the name itself will sell tickets to non-fans. Would you rather say you went to Vegas and saw britney or that you saw the 12th incarnation of cirque de solel or Barry manteelow? She'll also get a big international audience from Asia that just have cash to burn and want to see a show with a sexy American girl

However, the bad press can certainly hurt the show in the long run. No matter how big the artist is, if everywhere I turn it says that the show is bad (and we know that when the show opens it’s going to get a lot of media coverage), I would think twice about buying a ticket.

She's going to be playing to mostly non fans, a lot of internationals, and a lot of high rollers comped by casinos. The focus will be on her brand name, stage production value, costume, dancers. The focus will be on the total entertainment value and less about her.

Billboard Pop Songs- 11/9/13 Drops 14-15, 5,144 spins (-190), 21.148m audience
So, 14 ends up its peak. On the plus side, it didn't end up being her lowest-peaking lead single at the pop format.

"I'm A Slave 4 U," "Me Against The Music," "Gimme More" and now "Work Bitch" have all failed to crack the top 10 on Pop. Doesn't make any of them any less epic. :)

why they'd release a song knowing right away that most stations would censor it is beyond me... recipe for failure. work work was just stupid.

This has a sound that is a bit dated now and obviously just lacks much of anything to get people interested in it.

I was around when the aforementioned songs had their chart runs and the general attitude was much like what you just described. People have only given them credit for being groundbreaking and innovative years later.

I suppose my opinion might be swayed though since im from the UK where those songs were really big and lots of people liked them when they were released.

Who regards MATM as innovative or groundbreaking? Of the songs mentioned, "Slave" has become a favorite and well-received, but not sure "Gimme More" has. None of them have come anywhere near the reverence (in terms of acclaim) that "Toxic" has, though.
It's early, but I don't think WB will go down as one of her more enduring tracks.

Let's NOT compare the great "Gimme More" to this "song".

This won't go down as one of her greatest songs because the other songs mentioned had something else going on for them. Slave had the VMA performance, MATM was the Madonna colab and Gimme More had 'It's Britney Bitch'. This one has nothing backing it up besides the video which is still less memorable than the videos of the other songs. It's ok if she doesn't have a 'classic' lead single people. Now on to Perfume!
