8-11 Alejandro 8-11 Applause 8-11 Lovegame 8-11 You And I

Yeah. The last 3 would be DWUW > J > MTN for sure.

Drops 7-13 on the club charts. Her first non-#1 (single). :( But considering it had no (club) remixes it makes sense, but still. Just goes to show how sloppy everything is.

Clearly To be honest this single could've had much greater success. The fact that it managed moderate success is arguably a testament to its strength as a quality song.

any info about the music video? It will leak 1-2 years from now as a "rebellious" act against some entity.

any info about the music video? I didn't hear anything new regarding the music video. There really isn't a point anymore if she releases one or not. It would be nice to see her release it, nonetheless.

this is probably the most mishandled single from a major star that I can recall. And I'm saying this because this sounds like a hit. Other mishandled singles from major stars like "Run the World (Girls)", that Nelly Furtado song, most Avril lead singles, "American Life", etc. were simply not good songs. So they were doomed. This, however, is such a strange release. It had all the promo, people weren't buying, then the fights started, and now it seems like the era is completely over.
this will be remembered.

I know it's only the club chart, but top 10 isn't bad for not having official dance mixes. Were there unofficial ones?

No video + no recent promo + hearing and having the song out for 4 months = why DWUW has dropped and we are all ready for Gypsy or the Britney duet!

This is its current rolling info from top 40 radio:
12 19 LADY GAGA Do What U Want f/R. Kelly 4501 7730 -3229 20.451
Is that one of the largest negatives we've seen?
At rhythmic, it has the second-largest rolling loss in the top 50 (-644 spins).
iTunes No. 77 No. 629
The Aguilera version has vanished from the top 1,500.

The only push for the single in 2014 has been the release of the remix, so I'm not surprised at it's current position.

New music video is being filmed right now, rumored either GUY or Venus. This certainly underperformed but it wasn't a flop. Top 10, almost Top 10 overall. No music video. Will it be remembered? No, but bring on single #3!

This is one of Gaga's best singles but the way this era has been going is so messy and it's a shame because not only did this song deserve #1 everywhere; the album is great and I feel that the rest of the singles won't do as well because of this whole debacle. I hope Gaga and her team start fresh and kind of "start the era over". Treat the next single like a lead single because the songs deserve it- great work of art she created. I hope the next single is "Gypsy"!

I knew when this era started it would be a humongous mess! And then she releases Applause, and I hated it, but this song is one of her best! Now I'm so mad that she mistreats her s**t! She's really not a good pop star, she can't handle all of this responsibility...

PARADISE, you don't think that it will be remembered based on any of the performances she did? Like videos, the performances have been available for viewing on YouTube (aside from their initial broadcasts on the AMAs, SNL and The Voice.

Well maybe for performances, but I don't think it will be one of her most memorable singles

I don't think it'll be remembered for any aspect of it. People will say "songs by Lady Gaga", "Lady Gaga's craziest moments" or even "Lady Gaga's best duets", I think it was pretty forgettable. The song itself, while radio friendly and one I personally loved, wasn't an extreme in any way. A video could have indulged in some level of extreme or long-term impact but the song itself and nearly every other aspect was pretty tame in the grand scheme of things. Outside of this board and her fans, it'll probably be in line with You And I: memorable if someone else brings it up.

This is definitely her best collaboration, for me anyway. I don't think the GP will give it as much attention since it's competition is 'Telephone' with Bey (and Flo Rida on 'Starstruck', lol), but yeah.
This won't be remembered for s**t though, lol. 'Judas' is still going to be her shining moment as an underperformer, albeit for different reasons.

Probably second-largest, only being bested by "Die Young". The fact that it lost more than "Heart Attack" and "Slow Down" on their steep drop weeks is kinda bone-chilling... I believe this is the second time that a song reached the top 10 without an official video ever being released, the first being "See You Again" by Miley Cyrus. ("Dark Horse" reached the top 10 after DWUW)
