This will be the next (and likely last) single from Live Like You Were Dying. Here's a clip from allaboutcountry.com. I'll post the full version when from allaccess when it's available. www.allaboutcountry.com/media/music/ram/TimMcGraw-DoYouWantFriesWithThat.ramIt's a good song, funny, lighthearted for summer. It'll do very well, probably top 5 or maybe #1... BUT I do think that Curb has missed the boat with singles from this album. Blank Sheet of Paper probably won't see the light of day, which is a complete shame. Curb also missed the boat on Tim's last album by not releasing Home... Curb honestly needs a lesson in single releases Ok, my Curb rant is done :)

Sounds like another heaping dish of CRAP from Tim. What happened to songs like Angry All The Time and Red Rag Top that were actually interesting and had a story to tell with actual emotion? Sure they weren't quite as commercially successful, but wouldn't you want artistic dignity than 1 million more albums (when you already have a crapload).

Not bitter really, just disappointed that he thinks what he's making now is actually good. People talk about Lee Ann and others selling out, but what is Tim McGraw? His songs are played on AC and they don't have anything to them. He's always walking around with a beanie on and he's "singing" with Nellie. He acts like such a tool.

I like this alot. Two thumbs up. :)
Much better than the last two singles, which were my two least favorites from the album. I didn't mind 'Back When', but it doesn't compare to the other songs. I simply disliked 'Drugs or Jesus', though.

One of the worst songs on this album. I'm surprised he didn't go with "My Old Friend"

I don't mind this song... I actually laughed when I heard it the first time, but this one will get old... quick! I agree about "Drugs or Jesus"... complete Zzzzz material!

Considering the exposure which "How Bad Do You Want It?" has received, thanks in part to his performance on Monday Night Football last year, I was hoping that it would be the next single.
He will have a new CD in the fall, but it might be a live CD, since his current CD still has many more potential singles, with 'Blank Sheet of Paper' an absolute must-release single, at least for me.

Marv... I REALLY hope you're right about the live CD. Have you heard that from anyone specific? I really hope that BSOP is released... such a no-brainer.

Blank Sheet Of Paper is a great track. I think Do You Want Fries With That? was a more obvious single choice, though. Especially in the summer season.
I would like to see BSOP released next, however, I don't think there will be a 5th single.

I'm beginning to wonder if Tim McGraw might be falling into a slump like Toby Keith is currently in, like maybe he's gotten a bit too cocky from all the success.
Sure, he got his biggest career hit ever off this album, but "Drugs or Jesus" sure had a weak chart run.
And this track is just rather corny. It might just smash but it totally lacks the quality of many of his most recent hits.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

'Drugs Or Jesus' was just a weird single choice. Curb could have released several better songs instead.

It made no sense to me for 'Drugs or Jesus' to be released as a single, considering how much more squeamish, risk-averse, and conservative today's PDs have become, and that applies to all formats. An overreliance on research has taken the 'oh wow, I haven't heard THAT one factor' out of radio, and the result is predictable radio, which is also dull radio.
'Blank Sheet Of Paper' should have been a single; there's no doubt in my mind.
'Do You Want Fries With That?' wacky title and all, is a great song if you listen to the lyrics and follow the story.
With summer right around the corner, it certainly makes sense for the label to flood the marketplace with up-tempo singles from the biggest artists out there.
When four of those artists (Tim, Toby, Kenny & the new B&D) come out within weeks of each other, most country PDs should be doing cartwheels all over the place.
But as I've previously stated, they need to trust their listeners MUCH more than they do, and have MUCH more respect for them as well.
The haflway point of 2005 for R&R/Mediabase ends at 9 PM (PDT) in two weeks (June 4th), and the fact that three of last year's top 5 singles (KC & UK/JMM/AJ) are STILL in THIS year's top 50 is a complete outrage, IMHO!!!!

There wasn't even going to be a 4th single from this album. Back before "Drugs and Jesus" was released, Curb made the announcement that DAJ was the last release from the album. DAJ's chart run was unexpected (at least in Curb's eyes)....and i'm guessing they are just releasing this song to buy Tim more time to get his new project finished.
I agree that "Blank Sheet of Paper" should've been a single. I also think it's a good choice to go with something like "Do You Want Fries With That" though....it's a fun song for summer and radio is gonna eat this one up.
If anything, I would have gone with DYWFWT as the 2nd single from the album...followed by BSOP, and possibly HBDYWI as the 4th single.

There's no way that Curb would have only released THREE singles from a CD with SIXTEEN songs on it.
NOBODY has been more generous in placing LOTS of songs on his CDs, and ignoring that longstanding mandate that no CD should have more than 10 songs on it.
Every studio CD he's released since the 1997 blockbuster 'Everywhere' has had anywhere from 12-16 songs on it, and anywhere from 4-6 singles have been released from them.
He certainly had more potential singles from both 'Set This Circus Down', as well as the Dancehall Doctors release.
Considering the price of a CD these days, he's certainly made VERY sure that his fans get their money's worth when they shell out $13.00 or more for one of his CDs.
His current CD certainly has more potential singles on it, in spite of a new CD slated for late fall.
It could be a live CD, or another studio effort.

'Drugs or Jesus' was his first single since at least 1996 not to hit the top 10, so I'm sure the folks at Curb (as well as PDs everywhere), are glad this song is streaking up the charts, and would seem to be a mortal lock to hit the top 5, with a reasonable shot of becoming his 24th #1 single.

Do You Want Fries With That is okay - but not as good as AJ's "If French Fries Were Fat Free" JMO of course.
Personally, I think Blank Sheet of Paper would have been a better choice - Drugs was terrible.

I heard this for the first time today and thought it was horrible. Tim just seems to be going down-hill for me. :(

This one isn't terrible, but I don't think it's anything special or memorable. Haven't we heard this kind of song a million times before? I'm already bored with it. Had some lesser-name singer released it, I don't think it would rise very fast. It's moving upward at a good clip (but not as as fast as Brooks & Dunn's "Play Something Country", who already passed Tim on May 21) because of country radio's habit of giving a-list stars quick rises up the chart, regardless of the song's quality. There are few exceptions where radio doesn't do that... Toby's turkey "Mockingbird" was one instance, but that's pretty rare.

I find Tim's song to be somewhat annoying. I haven't liked much of what he's done for a long time though. Play Something Country is Brooks & Dunn's fastest rising song of their career according to Kix Brooks. Even though they are A-listers, I have watched them struggle up the charts more than once. They don't always get played right out of the box.

Good point luvhonkytonk - some artists (like Brooks & Dunn) struggle for years to get played and others (like Timmy) could sing the alphabet while blowing bubbles and they would go flying up the charts just because of who he is!

Play Something Country is Brooks & Dunn's fastest rising song of their career according to Kix Brooks. If I'm not mistaken, isn't PSC the third-fastest rising song of their career? My Maria went 30 to 15 to 8 in its first three weeks on Billboard, and If You See Him, If You See Her went 32 to 19 to 13, while PSC has gone 37 to 26 to 23. (Sorry about bringing this up on a Tim thread, but had to point this out)

"Struggle for years to get played" ??!?!?!?! Please. Brooks & Dunn have been superstars from the second they charted their first single. You all are acting like Brooks & Dunn are the underdogs here. They've had just as many fast rising songs and hits than Tim, Toby and yes even Alan. C'mon... give them some credit.

I seem to recall that B&D's first two singles went to #1, and they haven't slowed down since!!!!!

I seem to recall that B&D's first two singles went to #1, and they haven't slowed down since!!!!! Actually, it was their first four singles. They have had several songs that weren't added right away. They have also have had a few that have really tanked! The radio station in my area has had Tim's new song on heavy rotation since it's debut. I've heard B&D's new song once.
