First solo song I've heard from her project and it's good, but not quite outstanding. Checked out her first single "Cannonball" after I watched this and I did not care for it at all.

Is her album more like that, or like "On My Way"?
"On My Way" is the best song on the album IMO. Not much of the rest is worth listening to.

I agree that "On My Way" is the best song on the album, but there are plenty of tracks that blow "Cannonball" out of the water. "Burn with You," "Don't Let Go," & "Louder" are good examples.
Why It Looks Bad: Despite plenty of promotion, Michele's pop debut didn't come close to placing her in the same breath as pop stars like Miley Cyrus or Demi Lovato.
Counterpoint: 60,000 first-week sales is nothing for a TV-turned-pop star to be ashamed of, especially on her first outing. Even if the album failed to make a pop star of Lea Michele, it signifies there's plenty of interest in her career -- just maybe not with her singing these kinds of songs.

She will never be a pop star but I am here for her acting, especially after her star turn in Scream Queens, Seasons 1 (and to a lesser extent, Season 2).

I've never understood why, with the way she sings, she doesn't just do Broadway as her main gig. Her voice is much better suited to that style and she would actually be successful and probably win awards combined with her acting.

I've never been a "Glee" fan, but I agree with what you said. She'll probably never be a pop star, she's more suited for Broadway musicals.
I already love this. I didn't listen to every new song she performed during her latest show because I'd like to keep them as a surprise but I can tell I'm going to really like the album.
