It's more of a matter of Frozen outdoing projections. HITS had Queen B.'s album at 80-85K; HITS" final numbers are just 2,500 or so off of the low end of that projection.

That interview on CBS Sunday Morning really helped Sara Bareilles. I saw some clips and it was nicely done where you learned a little about her ( she recently broke up with her long term band & her long term boyfriend and moved from L.A. to NY ), they showed clips of her singing different songs on the piano, talked about the origin of her biggest prior hit Love Song and how it was an FU to her label, & how the song Brave was used in a video of cancer medical professionals and patients. It was a lot better than going on a late night tv show and singing a song.
Now she's back down on itunes but Amazon has her album on sale for $5.00 so that may help her somewhat.

Frozen did what Beyonce was expected to sell lol. Man those sales really suck. 17k for a top ten position. Yeah times are getting tough.

The "times" are called January.
No new releases. The titles at the top were there a month ago and are declining as they would in any other month. (with the exception of Frozen)
We all know album sales will decline this year too, digital will also but with the rapid advance of streaming, music as a whole will grow.

PTB, I just meant if, during the movie, there are any hints/teasers/winks about such things. You know, like in SpongeBob. A Disney Princes without a romantic interest? Perish the thought. Who's here for Frozen, to end up as the top-selling album of 2014? may be a stretch, but figure that the home-video release probably will give it a second wind. You must've missed Merida
