There is quite a bit of activity on this song, I didn't know how I missed this song but there is significant airplay coming from WBBM and KQMV. Taking off on KVLY, XHTO, and WNRW.

Cheesy but I kind of like this? Dat melody. The beat drop is so 2010 trashy though.

I really hate that Tiësto hopped on the wave, because he was actually a REALLY big name and talent in the latter half of the 2000's on the techno scene. Example: or even his remix of Britney's 'Piece of Me'? Pick your poison, but both of those sound more current than... whatever this is.

This is by no means his best work, but I'm really enjoying this. I wouldn't mind this smashing.

My two favorite Tiesto works (and the only two to make my iTunes playlist ever) are as follows:

allow that Where's "Traffic", "Feel It In My Bones", "Adagio For Strings", his remixes of "Silence" and "Sweet Surrender", "Who Wants To Be Alone"? You need to fix your broke ass iTunes, lol.

Adagio For Strings was huge where I live back in the mid-00s. Also C'mon few years ago with Busta Rhymes and Diplo, then his Somebody That I Used to Know remix. I like some of his songs, but Red Lights is really awful imo. He's capable of so much better.

Updated the vid link at the top due to the previous one cutting the song off at the end.

I agree with most of you. I think it's acceptable, but it's tends to be generic and it's definitely not his best song. The Afrojack Remix that James posted on the Dance thread is miles better tbh.

I like some of his songs, but Red Lights is really awful imo. He's capable of so much better. "C'mon (Catch 'Em By Surprise)" and "Escape Me" have probably been the only songs that were pretty viable for crossing over to Pop. This is pretty similar, imo. Not that much of a trance influence like with "Adagio For Strings", but more house like most of the other EDM hits. I think It can have a chance if radio begins to pick up on it more than just the weekend mixes.

Surprised no one mentioned his excellent " Love Comes Again" featuring BT as well as " Break My Fall". Also love " Just Be" featuring Kirsty Hawkshaw and "Lethal Industry". Tiesto's best work and remixes IMO was in the late 90's till mid 2000's when it was all trance. Then in the late 2000's it was all progressive house and has been since. My favorite remix from Tiesto is Paul Oakenfold's " Southern Sun" and Delerium & Sarah McLachlan's "Silence" . And who can forget his collaboration with Ferry Corsten (they were known as Gouryella) and Armin van Buuren (Alibi). "Red Lights" isn't his best but it's radio friendly enough to cross over.

This definitely has that crossover appeal. Should go Top 50 easily.

Not to mention you can sing the verses to Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" right over this song's verses. I do it in the car all the time. Go ahead. Try it.

This will be the 2014 version of "This Is What It Feels Like". Both Tiesto & Armin are dutchmen, they have been producing and DJing since the mid 90's, they are both old school trance veteran legends (Tiesto currently no longer does trance though), both are grammy nominated and Armin already has his first top 40 U.S. hit last year while Tiesto is on it's way to have his very first this year. Would be nice to see Paul van Dyk, ATB, Chicane and other veteran's follow this trend.
"Red Lights" is Tiesto's first top ten in Australia and is certified Gold.

The verses are amazing but the chorus is a bit underwhelming to me and the drop could be a lot less generic but I'm a sucker for generic songs so I kinda like this, lol.

Added by KIIS. Hopefully this does outperform Armin's effort.
