I was still a tyke in 82 but this Soul Sucker became Frank Zappa's Only Top 40 hit... Five words have NEVER been so cringe-worthy as "Gag me with a spoon"  What I'm getting at is #Selfie is a million times better than Valley Girl. The beat is on point & Hate if you want but, this is the world we live in today. Crazy thing is...I REALLY like this track & it deserves to become a modest top 20 hit. Don't Hassle the hoff! |

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of "Valley Girl" the second I heard this. Great beat though- It will be a quick riser and a quick dropper so I won't get completely sick of it.

I heard this on KMVQ last night and I was surprised by how ridiculous this was! It sounds kinda hot on the dancefloor maybe once, but that's about it. It feels like a SNL digital short. This song will make for so many great memes and stuff though.

I'll never know how this made to the top 50 but not surprised. Not my cup of tea. I don't like it but I don't dislike it either. Heh, David Hasselhoff. I do think it's better than "Harlem Shake" & Sak Noel's "Loca People" though. This will be a big viral thing though where everyone does its own version on youtube simimar to how "Harlem Shake" & "Gangnam Style" exploded on the Internet.
