Does that mean no album until after the baby is born?

From Billboard.com Alicia Keys on Her Upcoming Album: 'It's the Best Music I've Ever Done In My Life'
Alicia Keys, who often releases albums in November and December, says she is preparing for another delivery at the end of the year: her second baby.
"December album? Well, I know one thing. I'm having a December baby," the singer said with a laugh in an interview Tuesday.
The Grammy winner says she and husband, producer-rapper Swizz Beatz, know the sex of the baby, but that she's "not sharing."
Their son, Egypt, turns 4 next month. And if baby No. 2 is anything like their first child, music will be a major part of its life.
"He's a little music fanatic. He has all this rhythm. He loves to dance. He can play drums. He can beatbox," Keys said at an event to launch her new Givenchy perfume, Dahlia Divin, at the Macy's flagship store in Manhattan. "I think that you do see how just the influence of music and perhaps it is in the DNA, and perhaps it is a part of the magic of what's inside of the parents that it's coming through him."
Keys' last album was 2012's "Girl on Fire," which won a Grammy this year for best R&B album. She was coy about when she will release her next album, which includes production work by Pharrell. Keys will appear as a mentor for Pharrell's team on NBC's "The Voice," which premieres Monday.
"What I know for a fact is it's the best music I've ever done in my life yet and it's really exciting to be able to have this kind of growth, this type of opportunity," she said. "The music's actually pretty much done already and so you'll be hearing some of it soon."

I do think it's best she has the baby and then releases some music. I do think she looked great when she was touring and promoting while pregnant during TEOF era/The Freedom Tour, but climbing on pianos and doing her heavy pregnant strut in 6 inch heels was a little crazy.

She claimed her last album was the best ever and it was a snooze fest. I'm holding out hope that she gets it right this time.

But at least she was right up until her last album. The Element of Freedom was ahead of its time.

I still listen to Girl on Fire but it is such a step down from every other album she's ever done.
I hope she can find a sound instead of just throwing out these half-baked schmaltzy "hits" like that song with Kendrick. It's hard for Alicia to make a bad song but recently she's been falling into "meh" territory.

SIAM and TDOAK are her best albums...I hope she can make a quality album like that. As I Am is great too, I just don't like No One that much. On last two albums a lot of songs are amazing, but as a whole albums, especially GOF, they're just ok...nothing spectacular. No more songs like GOF or New Day...Brand New Me is boring too. 101 is absolutely amazing.

I love/like everything she has done, so I doubt she's going to put out an album I won't enjoy at all. I agree that I'd rather her steer clear of the "Girl On Fire," "A New Day" sound; it doesn't suit her IMO. I'd love more slow jams in the vein of "Lover Man," "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart," "Diary," "Why Do I Feel So Sad" etc. with live instrumentation. And, Alicia, please no upper register belting! One of the reasons I love the aforementioned songs is because, she sings mostly in a comfortable for her range and it does the songs favors in terms of their melody and smoothness.

I love all of her albums, but Girl on Fire was disappointing for me. It's still good, but nowhere near as good as her others. I'm sure I'll love her new one when it comes out as well.

LOL. Girl On Fire is my favorite Alicia album and I am a huge fan. My three favorites of hers are:
1. Girl On Fire 2. As I Am 3. The Element of Freedom
As I Am is a very close second to me because it contains my favorite Alicia song (LYNSMA) of all time but The Element of Freedom also has TSWABH, which is my second favorite of hers. The ONLY song I don't really care about (and it's not even that bad) on Girl On Fire is Limitedless.

Preview of her new song and video "I Am Here". Blah. Sounds like retread of "No One" and "Doesn't Mean Anything" with the subject matter of her last album. http://instagram.com/p/sph35XQFtC

Yea, I'm not here for that. Why she can't give us some R&B songs?

God, stop with these pop/pseudo r&b songs... She's got braids now, so I thought maybe she would back to roots. ;((( I remember when I couldn't stop listening to her albums...but now I like the new albums but it's nothing addictive. She was so young when she wrote Songs in A Minor, why can't she make even better album now... Maybe I'm a bit dramatic, but this snippet is pretty boring. Give me at least sth like Un-thinkable or Empire State of Mind <3 I'll wait for whole song.

I hope it's just album track, not lead single. But it seems like it's the snippet of the video = lead single.;/

Girl on Fire might be the worst song she's ever released as a single and this sounds like a step up from that. It's still on that bland inspirational, we are the world tip but I could see it growing on me.

Yuck. I hate the artist she has become. She takes herself way too seriously.

Wait, is she releasing an album this year? I thought she'd put it on hold because of the pregnancy.

Yea, I'm not here for that. Why she can't give us some R&B songs? Agreed. I hope that s**t isn't even on the album. I'd like to see Alicia score one more smash hit now that she's 10+ years into her career. She needs to cement her legacy and re-claim her A-List status but with each new release we hear I'm realizing how unlikely that is.

Honestly every soul/R&B song she made was great. She's just born to do it, but with pop songs it's usually worse. I'd love to see her as the big star again too. ;(
