YES!!! And that preview killed my interest. O. Is it bad? I can't listen to it right now. It's kind of a generic Calvin beat. But hopefully his vocals make it better.

And that preview killed my interest. O. Is it bad? I can't listen to it right now. I wouldn't call it bad and I think it sounds like something you'd like (I don't mean that to sound condescending, just different tastes and such), but the clip (it's of a few seconds of the build-up then drop) sounds very much like "Under Control" and "If I Lose Myself" and "Red Lights" and the 50 songs those sounded like, and as you'd know I'm not fond of that style and always go on about them being too generic and wastes of space etc. Of course I've only heard a short section, but I doubt there's anywhere the rest of it can go but predictable, and it's disappointing for me that we're getting a song like this when I feel he's capable of much better and is in a position where whatever he puts out will get a lot of interest. Ugh I hate this term.

That beat drop is so three years ago and could have been copy and pasted from a few hundred other songs, but without hearing the vocal portion yet I'll reserve final judgement. I think Calvin is one of the few EDM leftovers who can still blow up at pop radio and the subject matter (summertime!) can only help. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Waiting for a full song tbqh. "Feel So Close" is his only US single so far that I wasn't really impressed with though. His own vocals aren't the best, but that can just be whatever if it's got a great melody - which "Feel So Close" did not. (Wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.)

He already had a #1 in the UK with a summer themed song called Holiday (with Chrome and Dizzee) a few years back lol. Don't expect this to do as well though.

Just listened to it and, despite I don't like to judge previews, the build-up then drop reminds me to the productions he did on 18 Months and "Under Control", which it's a disappointment for me tbh. However, I think I kind of like it because it goes harder (?) than his previous stuff. Weird. Anyway, I will wait for the full song to be out, like both Mike and Adam said before, to give a proper judgement and mainly because of the vocal part, which Calvin hasn't disappointed me yet. I think I precipitate calling it bad without listen to it, but I was afraid of the preview to be some generic stuff I know you're not so into when you said that and the 15-second production goes that way. Of course I've only heard a short section, but I doubt there's anywhere the rest of it can go but predictable, and it's disappointing for me that we're getting a song like this when I feel he's capable of much better and is in a position where whatever he puts out will get a lot of interest. And I so agree with the latter. However, I'll reserve my opinion when I listen to the full song. Hope it doesn't mind to you. Off topic: Is it confirmed that "Summer" would be out as a digital download this Friday? As far as I know, it's going to be out late April in the UK, but if we consider how the UK works with the digital releases, I think it's a possibility that it could be available in four days in some European countries, besides the aforementioned country, Ireland and (maybe) Germany, and Oceania. If this happens, I assume the American release would be in March 18.

Wait is that banner saying 1D's new single for the US or UK? It's from the US. As both cm7com and Kurt stated above, this is from Columbia's pop promotion e-mail which was sent for people who are subscribed through AllAccess.

Damn his style has changed so much since then (dare I call it less distinct now?) but that was Dizzee's lead anyway.
