I like this a lot also. The verses are the strong suit here, but man, as the warm weather approaches I actually miss cheesy beat drops on radio a bit. This one may end up being radio's token summer dance track and perform similarly to how Zedd's "Clarity" did last year. This is much better than that shit though.

After the flawless "Thinking About You" only peaked at #22 or #23 on CHR/Pop, this has to go Top10 and SMASH on that format!

I just listened and on first impression I find it to be quite lifeless. The production is actually quite stale and it honestly sounds like a random third rate Avicii B-Side that should have been deleted. It has no melody and while I did like his voice on "Feel So Close", I'm not a fan of it here.

OMG. I'm...I'm...I'm...not impressed with this, at all. I was really hoping it wouldn't be "Feel So Close" all over again, which was just nothing special at all - but, that's exactly what's happened here. Once again, he's singing over an unremarkable, not-very-impressive beat. Damn it. So disappointed...

You called it! You know, I have my influences. #justkidding Wish I had though. After the flawless "Thinking About You" only peaked at #22 or #23 on CHR/Pop, this has to go Top10 and SMASH on that format! You were close. Actually, "Thinking About You" peaked at #21 on CHR/Pop. However, I totally agree with you with the latter.
In other news, the King of the UK is back. "Summer" is at #63 on the UK iTunes almost six weeks before its official release there {iTunes peaks (March 14)} #2 El Salvador #2 Mexico #5 Estonia #5 Lebanon #6 Chile #7 Argentina #8 Latvia #8 Mongolia #8 Slovenia #8 Turkey #9 Brazil #10 Finland #11 Saudi Arabia #11 Sweden #11 Switzerland #12 Hungary #12 South Africa #14 Colombia #19 Ecuador #21 Poland #24 Canada #25 Greece #25 Spain #26 Belgium #26 Guatemala #26 Luxembourg #27 France #28 Italy #30 Singapore #31 Hong Kong #33 Panama #34 Portugal #37 Barbados #40 Netherlands #48 Denmark #54 Australia #57 Bermuda #57 United Arab Emirates #63 United Kingdom (Available as a pre-order) #66 Indonesia #79 New Zealand #83 Ireland (Available as a pre-order) #92 Peru #96 Israel #102 Czech Republic #112 India #112 Thailand #114 Russia #132 Taiwan #135 Norway #147 Azerbaijan #149 Austria #168 Philippines #244 Germany (Available as a pre-order) #316 Kazakhstan #322 Honduras

While my hope for something more progressive wasn't matched here? I'm kind of okay with it because the chorus is such ear candy and more importantly as hoped Calvin is doing the vocals on this (when its him or Ayah you can't really lose tbh). First listen was a bit of an afterthought, but it's a grower and now I like it tons. However, I'm still holding out though for something to pique my interest on this upcoming album that showcases something different from Calvin. I wouldn't even be mad if there was a track or two to the vein of "School" even for the new album. Which btw was far too short, but one of the highlights from 18 Months for me.

This is a hit, only thing I hate is that it's going to be everywhere here just when the summer is over ¬¬ Anyway, I love it!!!!

On my first two listens this is good, but under his singles from 18 Months for me. I like his vocals here, and I feel like this will grow on me. I hope it does well!

Jesus, his voice is sexy. I honestly think he could sell any song to me with that alone. Having said that, though, I love this and I hope it's huge.

I like the vocals on this but I find the production to be really boring and uninspired. Perhaps one of the upcoming remixes might help me like the song.

Just a note: April 30th marks 18 months after his last album 18 months. I have a feeling that's when his next album will come our, I could be wrong though.

Just a note: April 30th marks 18 months after his last album 18 months. I have a feeling that's when his next album will come our, I could be wrong though. Interesting, but it's not going to happen. Calvin's new album is stated to be released later this year.
On the other hand, the OP is updated.

So this station here in Miami that has been an easy listening station for as long as I can remember is playing this like, every hour. 97.3 Hits it's now called? I don't know how long the station has been top 40 for but yeah super random.
