So happy to see this is growing. The iTunes position is OK. Two versions in the Top 100. #44 and #77, with another version at #232. Overall it's top 30. Looking at the overall audience, the song is not even in the Top 30.

All radiostations in my country have the English version in their playlists. :( I don't like the English/Spanglish version because 1. It's 2 languages in 1 song, I don't like that. 2) Sean Paul, starting to hate his music tbh :(

This isn't even top 20 yet? Anyone else find it a bit ironic that after the label shoved countless flops that high up the chart, Enrique finally has a legitimate hit that the public is connecting with and... radio finally decides to resist?

This isn't even top 20 yet? Anyone else find it a bit ironic that after the label shoved countless flops that high up the chart, Enrique finally has a legitimate hit that the public is connecting with and... radio finally decides to resist? It's being pushed harder than any of his singles this era so it would be kinda ironic, wouldn't it? The song has been doing around the same as his previous singles which all started off well and seemed to hit a wall but this has the added benefit of having some play on other formats and combining it's airplay and sales with the Spanish version which is inflating the numbers it would normally have on Hot 100. That could easily help sell it to radio and it's airplay is increasing at a good pace that I'm more than reasonably sure that he'll get over the speed bump his recent singles have struggled with. Slow n' steady might be better in fact some of his biggest hits took a while to catch on. Whether this genuinely connects with people, well lots of Enrique's pre Republic songs seemed to "connect" but seemingly didn't connect enough for people to buy them. Up until recently I'd say it seemed to connect about the same as his other singles this era which were much maligned on the net but not really that unpopular with the general public. Of course it is gaining more that I think he'll have a genuine with this.

Ironic yes, but at the same time it is understandable that radio would hesitate on a fourth single that follows three underperformers/flops. Having said that, I think the odds are good that this will end up smashing. It's talked about that a song's callout performance only influences its success so much, but...let's be real: When was the last time a song fared so well at callouts and then didn't smash?

From Chart Watch: "Bailando" becomes his eighth Top 20 in the US and his highest-charting hit since "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)". Amazing!
It has surpassed "La Tortura" now, but it should be noted that Shakira's song didn't have an English version. However, it's still a great achievement for Enrique since Billboard is counting the Spanish version over the new one.

I usually pay no attention to Enrique Iglesias but i'm really liking this one. It's probably because they've been playing it in my exercise class. I see this one becoming a big hit.

I enjoy this song so much. Good to see Enrique stopped trying to be a sleazy arsehole in a song. No Pitbull is a massive relief as well!

I shouldn't really single this out but it just confuses the hell out of me because most of his recent output has had a romantic message. Heart Attack, Finally Found You even Turn The Night Up was more about parting than getting with the girl, no different to Bailando really. ( I think it's interesting the English lyrics play down that aspect given the usual criticism of the content of his English songs vs his Spanish ones) I'll give you l'm a Freak as a pretty overt sexual song but given the content of a lot of say Justin Timberlake songs and even his own video of naked women or even how Pharrel can get away doing songs like Happy given being in part responsible for Blurred Lines as well as stuff like Lap Dance back in the day. Comparitively speaking Enrique is a lot more harmless yet gets a lot more critcism for it. It's really weird to me.

I'm not going to lie, I don't really pay much attention to Enrique unless his song gets really popular. I guess Tonight (I'm f***ing you) ruined him for me probably forever - that's what I mainly meant. I'm glad to hear a song about partying and having fun not... that previously mentioned mess. Your second paragraph really shouldn't be aimed at me, I never said I didn't like Enrique, I just didn't like THAT Enrique. The same goes to Pharrell. And I just despise Justin Timberlake in general. But I understand it must be frustrating for a fan that other people get away with it and Enrique gets criticised more. But that's how it goes.

I didn't make it a point to listen to this because his material has been so lackluster lately. Color me surprised though, this is hot. It's so summery and nostalgic, I really like it.

Has this received any actual promo in the anglo market? Not sure if he even actually promoted it in the Spanish market, but his Spanish songs off the album have been doing well enough that that probably didnt need to worry much there.
