This PledgeMusic deal that they have, does this mean it won't be available on Amazon or in general stores? I'm not going to buy the album but I think that $18 is a little bit steep for just a CD or $40 a year for a fan club membership. Let those who are obsessed have it. www.pledgemusic.com/projects/weezer

More money in Weezer's and their inner circle's (Karl Koch, record label, etc.) pockets I guess. Surprised that they would do this but if that means extra money and a manufactured #1 for BTTS and the new album then have at it, I doubt that PledgeMusic gets very much off of it anyways.

This is okay. The cover for Everything Will Be Alright is legendary though.

Probably one of Weezer's weakest lead singles to date, and the self-referential lyrics are kinda off-putting, though once you get around that it's a fairly decent song for present-day Weezer standards.

When will we know in advance on how BTTS is doing on radio and on Mediabase? Edit - this was already posted above. Not sure why this didn't bring me to the latest post.

See guys, I told you "Memories" flopping was because it was released too soon.

I remember that it took only 3 weeks for "Pork and Beans" to go #1 and a few days before that on MB. And most if not all of these numbers are from good old KROQ in Los Angeles and a few scattered stations.

it means it's not a horrible start, but I would at least wait to see the first week's numbers before making any sort of prediction as to the future success of the track.

I'd say it'd debut in the Top 15 or so.

Well, considering this is about the same 1st day numbers "If You're Wondering If I Want You To" had, you can call it a good thing. OR, if you consider how bad this song is and that it's only getting these numbers because they're Weezer, it's probably a bad thing.

I'd say it'd debut in the Top 15 or so. Nah, I think it'll end the week with around 700 spins, so that'll land it in the lower end of the Top 20. Then I think it'll slow down A LOT afterwards and struggle to reach the Top 5.

If I were making a guess I'm going to say that it will peak lower than "Memories" but higher than "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" and "Trippin' Down the Freeway". #25 at best? No #1 or Top 10 not even Top 20 but just languishing in the 20s for a few weeks then slowly fading away. If it makes it into the Hot 100 then I would be surprised. But probably it will likely be a Bubbling Under single.
Plus BTTS will make its TV debut tomorrow night on Jimmy Fallon but I don't see a real huge promotion like Florida Georgia Line had with "Dirt" where they debuted the video and appeared on Fallon on the very same day. Republic will really have to have their big guns promoting this because I don't think this PM mess is going to get it and everything as high as they show it even with the deluxe stuff and the fan club membership just shows that they have really sold out.

I doubt it'll have enough initial and airplay for a debut on even the Bubbling Under chart.

Kinda like Rise Against Rise Against will at least stick around awhile. I'd be surprised if "Back To The Shack" lasts 2 months in the top 40.

It wouldn't help the sales of the new album either if they had the lead single flop at least a month before its release. Does Republic have any other alternative acts besides Weezer on their roster or are they the only ones?

So much for Rivers writing BTTS himself. A screen shot of who else wrote it and a rapper at that. i.imgur.com/jMqNSWU.jpgRivers had to use Jacob Kasher (aka J-Kash) Hindlin to write it for him. Rivers is just a plain and simple hypocrite and simpleton.

That's all I said and I guess what everyone else said on here against BTTS is considered bashing too.

You win, I lose. You have your opinions and I have mine. this wasn't about clashing opinions, I just wanted to know if weezer had ever hurt you so deeply that you needed to say things like What other albums are going to be released on September 30th the day the new album comes out? I would like to buy whatever else comes out on that day that will insures it flops. as far as I'm concerned this wasn't even an argument *shrug*
