Brian Battler That sad thing about what you posted is that it's allready happened to two of my favourite band of that era. Hinder and Saving Abel >

mcbrearty Not to the extent of David Guetta, but it's defiantely big departure of what fans are used to. You didn't listen to the last Hinder album? Welcome To The Freakshow . The Rock Ballads were actually pretty good, but the hard stuff sounded more Cobra Starship than Hinder. The one Exception was "Save Me" As for Saving Abel; Jared left. as did Micheal for no reason at all. I think the reason was this electro rock song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=43A48amxj8UR.I.P Saving Abel.

It's typical cock-rocky Saving Abel-style music.

A real Saving Abel fan knows that is nothing like there first two albumes. Where;s the sounthern roots of "Bringing Down The Giant" album? It's Electro enuff for me to say sound more like My Darkest Days than Saving Abel.

It's not electro, it's just a slightly worse cock-rock than Saving Abel is used to.

The new Daughtry album was the worst example of it, not a proper guitar riff in sight.

Song has been retitled 'Edge Of a Revolution' apparently, and it goes to radio on August 18th.

In other news, Nickelback had to 'reschedule' their appearance on HardDrive that was supposed to be on Thursday. There's also a tweet from a Nickelback fan account that it was retitled and goes for adds August 18, not sure if that is where mcbrearty got his info. or not. I haven't seen anything else about that, so who knows if that's right.

Yeah it is confirmed that this is now titled "Edge of a Revolution" and goes for Rock adds on August 18. All according to HardDrive. Source: www.harddriveradio.com/dirt/wednesday-aug-06 (it's after the words 'check her out') I like the title "Revolution" better, but whatevs. I think this is the first time since their breakout that they released a Rock single before the Pop one.

"Heard the new single from Nickelback last night called “Edge Of A Revolution.” It’s different, edgy and you can dance to it."
This better not mean Daughtry sh*t and better mean "Gotta Get Me Some" edgy and dancey.

Dancing to a Rock song doesn't mean it's gonna suck. Ratt's songs were very dancable. The clubs I go to have chicks dancing to "Animals" and "Something In Your Mouth" and it looks very HOT!!!!

that sleeve makes me think It might have similiar sound to "When We Stand Together". Which isn't a bad thing at all.

Well Nickelback is under Republic Playbook right now, but it doesn't have a title or adds date. It just says 'Nickelback Coming Soon...'.
ETA: Yupp this is all official now. The title and cover are under Republc Playbook. Still no adds date yet but I assume that'll come later today or tomorrow.

Hoping its a good one.
I've always found them to be consistent even if they've changed direction recently.

This is better than most of their last album and anything on Dark Horse. Really enjoyed it.

This is superb. I'm sure if a cooler band sang it, people would fall over it.
I hope the album can keep up this type of quality.
