I don't know how to Shazam either but I *think* it is just a live version of Lonely No More (or that's what I read somewhere).
Yeah, I'm very excited for this album. Besides the three songs I mentioned above I can't wait to hear the recorded version of The Great Unknown. My favorite song so far from the album based on the live version only.

For my daily post :)
Today's topic - HOLD ON FOREVER
I just listened to this four times in a row. This is a winning song. It's such a positive little sing-a-long ditty. Song craft at it's highest. Fan reaction has been very, very positive and it's outselling Trust You on iTunes.
This may, just may, be Unwell part II as far as a second single that can carry an album. If radio agrees, Rob may have a big hit here. Obviously, that must be the thinking in his camp if they already know this is a single...just debating on what order to release songs.

One Shot is now showing a track time on iTunes (2:50). Could we be expecting this as a instant grat next week or soon?

One Shot is now showing a track time on iTunes (2:50). Could we be expecting this as a instant grat next week or soon? I'm thinking maybe. Rob has asked for pictures of him with fans with the tag "One Shot" so I think they'll have something up with that as promo before the album comes out. Besides now loving Hold On Forever, I've listened to that live clip of One Shot a few times. Again, it does sound a lot like American Authors but so what. It's darn catchy. I can't wait to hear the album version. I hope it comes across as upbeat as the live version. It's another really strong song. I'm really on board with this album so far. :)

What sad news for the Thomas family. I meet Rob's wife very briefly a few years back. She seemed like a lovely lady. I hope she'll be okay.
From Rob on Facebook
Fans and friends,
By now many of you have read the press release and realize that Mari and I are going through a bit of a rough patch.
Last week, after an MRI for something unrelated, doctors saw what seems to be a lesion on the base of Mari’s brain.
We are being cautiously optimistic that this is something we caught early and can take care of in the near future but, as I’m sure you can all understand, we had to temporarily postpone some of the tour dates so that we can focus only on this for a while.
We are so thankful for all of your well wishes and really believe in the good that positive energy can do.
While this is all we are focused on right now, we will get through it and be able to share many more moments together and with all of you in the future.
Thanx for your love and understanding.
Mari and Rob

Saw him in concert last night and it was pretty dang incredible.
He has so much energy which helps really get into his performance. He played 3 or 4 new songs from the upcoming album and DANG they sound amazing. Very creative and catchy. I really can't wait for the album now.

I wonder if his wife's health issues will cause him to delay the release of the album since the promo tour was designed to build up the album and he probably won't be doing much individual promo for TY at this point either. I can totally see the album release date sticking but I'm just curious what the game plan might be now. Obviously, his wife is the #1 priority.

I can totally see the album release date sticking but I'm just curious what the game plan might be now. Obviously, his wife is the #1 priority. I couldn't help but wonder this myself when I heard the news about his wife. I gather from Rob's note that they aren't sure what the tumor is and maybe this is just exploratory surgery? I guess my point is that she may be okay if they don't find anything. Anyway, I think they'll stick with the release schedule. Rob can probably make that GMA or Today show (whichever it is) the week of release and then he'll just do what he can. They can always do the second video without him being in it or just use live shots from past shows. Not the best case scenario but if the album is good maybe word of mouth with sell the album more than anything else. I mean if radio doesn't support the singles there's not that much more than can be done anyway. Anyway, I just discovered this kid's video for One Shot. I'm more and more on the bandwagon for this as the second single. I know the music is very American Authors like but the lyrics sound very Robish and it's just so darn catchy. By this clip it looks like it will be a great live song once fans learn the song and can sing along. It's certainly one that Rob can nail live! www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9vBpuViCbY

He did Trust You of course. Along with One Shot and Wind It Up. I want to say that he did another new one but can't recall what it was. One Shot is an awesome song, instantaneous favorite already.

I just listened to the official audio for "One Shot." I think I'd vote for this as the second single over "Hold On Forever." I just think it's got more pep to it for radio. Will still hold final judgment though until we hear the album version of "I Think We'd Feel Good Together." Didn't someone post that the next single will probably come from one of those three songs?
Also, love all the fan photos in the "One Shot" video. If you pay close attention you can even see a few fan photos that are of the same person but 10-15 years apart. Pretty neat!

Rob said in an interview that it's between "Hold On Forever" or "I Think We'd Feel Good Together". I still think "I Think We'd Feel Good Together" should be the second single, if it sounds like I think it will. I don't hate the recorded version of "One Shot" but I've never been a big fan of American Author's sound, and I don't exactly like "One Shot". Ranking the 3 studio versions we've heard so far, it's: 1. Hold on Forever 2. One Shot 3. Trust You.

My guess is either Even Stars Fade, Steady, or All the Best Things. Those were songs he tweeted about in the past but didn't show up on the record. But nice, a 15 track album is not bad. North ended up with 17, and Cradlesong with 20 (with all bonus tracks)

I'm glad her tumor isn't cancer. That's a big relief but it appears Marisol still has a long way to go. :'(
On a more positive note, it appears that some fans have found the recorded version of I Think We'd Feel Good Together somewhere on line. Comments I saw said it was excellent and totally not what they were expecting from the acoustic version Rob had been playing. Very upbeat song with a great ending. I can't wait to hear it.
Edit - I think Rate The Music may have a 3 song survey for Rob (Hot Adult Contemporary) and this song is one of the three. I haven't been on that site in ages so I think I'll wait for the album but that's where you can find it if you want to take the survey. If anyone does, please let us know what you think of it.

Where did you see the ITWFGT comments? Edit: nevermind saw your edit, I'll investigate. Edit 2: Hot Damn, really poppy but it sounds amazing. I'll try to post link somehow if that is allowed?

I'm listening to ITWFGT right now! It really IS excellent. My favorite studio recording I've heard on the record so far. See, I enjoy a very well written pop song where the lyrics actually have some SUBSTANCE. Unlike "Trust You" which is just stupid, IMO. Also, Rob's voice isn't horribly distorted here.

Of the three, ITWFGT is hands down the best song and most radio friendly. It's screaming to be a single.

It's great. Yeah, it's probably the strongest song of the four album versions I've heard. I would definitely go with this as the second single. I love One Shot too but it will no doubt get the American Authors comparisons just like Trust You is getting the One Republic comparisons. This song is purely Rob. Love it.

This song is really addictive. I love Trust You and I can see why it was the first single but I personally think this would have been the better choice. It isn't as off-putting for some of Rob's fans...those that can't stand Trust You. But then again, this isn't a rock song or it's not really Rob so it will no doubt get trashed from those same people. I guess those people forgot all about Lonely No More. LOL!
