Basically, a rolling chart means it incorporates the past seven days. So today's chart, dated Sunday, January 18, reflects spins from Sunday, January 11 through Saturday, January 17. During this time period, "Jealous" was played more times than "Blank Space". However, for yesterday's chart, which reflected Saturday, January 10 through Friday, January 16, "Blank Space" was played more times than "Jealous".
So even though "Blank Space" was #1 on six of the seven charts this week, "Jealous" is the most played song of the last seven days and therefore deserves its title as #1.
It is true though that if the chart was official for any other day of the week, "Blank Space" would have had another week at #1.
That probably made no sense lol.

Singing along to this song with your ex at a bar is quite an interesting experience.

In fact the song that globally took her to another places was We are never ever getting back together. I most places country is not a type of music heard on the radio (with very few exceptions, here in spain in the last decade i only remember being played on radio Need you now and Not ready to make nice). At least in the south of europe We are never ever getting back together was the first single being played on radio or at least the first to have success, and it opened the gates of the new pop sound. In my opinion if that song wasn't a big success maybe 1989 wouldn't exist. Anyway it's too soon to know which are going to be her signature songs, sometimes there are songs that flopped hard that end being one of the signature songs of an artist (english man in new york for Sting), or not being as successful as other songs of the artist but being the ones that people prefer (Everybody hurts by REM which with Losing my religion are their most known songs). And there are other people who have a ton of non memorable hits I'm pretty sure Love Story and/or You Belong With Me were worldwide hits as well. I Knew You Were Trouble was the big breakthrough imo that paved the way for 1989. Not here, and not in a good part of Europe. On UK Love story was a hit, but she had to wait till We are never ever getting back together to have another top 10. I know people atribute I knew you were trouble the merit (and i like that song more than WANEGBT) but that song was simply the second punch that make Taylor a pop name around the world

But it looks like it didn't do too bad in other countries either, it actually did better than WANEGBT from what I see on its wiki page. Yes, but Love Story didn't paved Taylor's way to pop stardom in Europe at all, and that was my point. In many countries it was a one hit wonder till WANEGBT was released

This returned to #2. I have no idea why its losses trailed off while Nick has utterly imploded. 1 2 TAYLOR SWIFT Blank Space 15341 16279 -938 106.704 -31 Spins +293 Bullet +0.204 Audience

Well, i'm not that surprised that Nick imploded, that song was on life support and hold it enough to get that number one. The song is quite old and it's going to drop like a stone (the fact that Nick has another song on the chart will probably make the drop even faster)

And it even gained in audience! Whoo-hoo! This might return to #1 (Although Doubtful) if enough people are burned out on "Uptown Funk" on POP! UF was #2 last week on RTM (Rhythmic radio) it fell to #8 and it increased in burnout rate bad! While, this went from the biggest burnout to the 5th most burned out song to listeners AND it went from #13 to #9 this week and even LOWERED in burn out rate! Signs of improvement for the rhythmic scene for this song? =]
Then again, some people do consider that to be a fan-voting system. SO it may be done on rhythmic. This song clearly isn't done yet here as it's audience is gaining and it's losses are getting lower to the point where we might even see SMALL positives soon!
