That's a pretty dysmal debut figure, yet I'm not surprised.

I think there are some solid tracks on the album. It's very strong, melodically. However, there are no hits here. But I don't think she cares.
As for the first week numbers, I'm not surprised by them, all things considered. She's always had a very up-and-down career.

I'm loving 'Miss You so Much'. Its the standout track on the album for me. Melodically and lyrically, its just so beautiful. And the Dolly voice-memos on Rainbowland keep me coming back to that one lol. I'm gonna have to let the rest of the album sink in before i can make an accurate judgment on it. Overall though, I like the whole vibe of the album.

I listened to the record. Her most cohesive release, but far from a no-filler home run. Week Without You is fun. I don't think the songwriting is as good as she thinks though.

The 1-2-3 punch of "Thinkin'," "Bad Mood," and "Love Someone" is actually brilliant. Honestly, this could have been an EP consisting of "Malibu," "Younger Now," and those three tracks, and I would have loved it! The rest of the album ranges from "meh" to poor.
Edit: Go ahead and tack on "Inspired" to the end of said EP as a cute closing track. So, basically
1. Younger Now 2. Love Someone 3. Thinkin' 4. Bad Mood 5. Malibu 6. Inspired
Perfect EP rendition of this album.

Pretty sure Meet Miley Cyrus debuted at #1 , not #2 She has 5 #1 albums - Bangerz/Breakout/Meet Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana 1/ Hannah Montana the Movie

So...listening to this Noah Cyrus for the first time (I forgot that she was the voice of Ponyo in the American version of the movie and it was so cute!) and...umm...this is the direction that Miley should have gone in for this album. It successfully bridges the gap between her ratchetness and inoffensive pop. Production is better and it has catchy hooks, something Stronger Now lacks overall. What a shame. I might have to stan for Noah now.

Miley performed on Jimmy Fallon's show last night. She performed a cover of Dido's "No Freedom" to open the show with Adam Sandler
Then she did "The Climb"
And for the Musical Genre Challenge, she did "Bodak Yellow"

I think it’s unfair for people to give Miley crap for changing up her musical style when it’s clear she loves all different kinds of music. If I was a professional musician I’d wanna make all different kinds of music too. Hell, I make comedic music and some of my songs sound country, some pop, some rap — why can’t people do it all?

Miley called herself the "Queen of Country Music" on The Voice blind auditions. Poor girl. Flopping has affected her brain, clearly. I know she claims not to care about charts and radio play and all that but she might want to look at Shania's opening week sales or hell, even Carrie Underwood's whole career before she makes such bizarre comments.

Considering she spent a whole week on Jimmy Fallon and only performed 1 song from the new album, I'd say she doesn't care much about commercial success this go around.

I get emotional when Rainbowland's outro kicks in. There's something so innocent and genuine about it but I wish Dolly's voicemail was omitted.

I'm surprised she's doing SNL. Didn't she say there wouldn't be any more singles?

A bit surprised at the lack of buzz surrounding her era. She's really working her ass off and promoting it, but the material simply isn't connecting. Still love Malibu though.

Though she hasn't necessarily had a successful era, it feels like she has gained a lot of respect around the industry. I hear a lot of people praising her voice and artistry, and she definitely isn't gonna be fading away anytime soon.

She must have been really good! This kind of shit is so dumb. There's no need to compare two female artists whose respective sounds/images are completely different. Besides, and I'm about to go against my own words, even as a kid Taylor was coming up with lyrics and melodies that are miles better than anything on Younger Now.
