Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
:( popstop I need no further shit re: "Firestone"
#'s 70-66
#70.
JMSN “Bout It” | Total Points: 1307 Peak: 30 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 97-82-73-66-56- 52-43-44-45-45-35-31-30-34- 37-33-32-33-51-67-83-98
| So, I mentioned in the previous section how much I got into JMSN's stuff and this was probably in my top 3 of his releases. I'm not too sure what was going on when I was charting this because it was just hovering in the 30's area and it peaked at #30. I would have wanted this to higher but still it managed to rack up some points and spent 22 weeks on chart which brings it to #70 EOY. This is the last entry for JMSN. | #69.
Michael Calfan “Treasured Soul” | Total Points: 1308 Peak: 14 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 95-81-76-67-58- 49-32-26-17-14-17-19-24-21- 16-20-26-40-65-76-88-96
| Yet another new artist I discovered in 2016 and I loved his sound and especially him kicking it off with this song as this was really my introduction to Michael Calfan. "Treasured Soul" is such a fun and uplifting song with a very cool production. This is actually still my favorite of his releases so far. This should have gone top 10 but well #14 is close enough. It ends the year at #69 and this is the only entry for Michael. | #68.
Coleman Hell “2 Heads” | Total Points: 1310 Peak: 4 Weeks on Chart: 18** Chart run: 88-74-64-43-32- 31-27-20-26-18-15- 14-15-13-9-6-6-4-
| So, I remember hearing this song in my friend's car in the spring and I was into it but I think I forgot about it until later on in summer and then immediately started charting it because how can you escape that awesome banjo? And with Mumford dropping the banjo this year, this was able to fill that void - and add a bit of electro touch to it. This is actually still charting and it has peaked at #4 so far. This is the only entry for Coleman Hell. | #67.
Foo Fighters “Congregation” | Total Points: 1312 Peak: 23 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 85-64-58-55-47- 37-36-30-23-30-36-34-30-27- 33-47-50-65-77-83-87-86-91
| I'm an old school Foo fan but Sonic Highways was kind of hit or miss for me as far as albums go. "Congregation" however I really liked as it kind of took me back to Foo of days past. Dave sounds really good on it along with Zac Brown. I was trying to get this at least in the top 20 but it was a busy chart so it peaked at #23 but it did spend 23 weeks on the chart which is really good. So I'm ok with #67 EOY. This is the only appearance for Foo Fighters on the countdown this year. | #66.
Of Monsters And Men “Crystals” | Total Points: 1316 Peak: 19 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 87-83-77-68-63- 49-38-32-25-29-27-24-20- 19-23-32-40-52-56-72-81-97
| I really, really enjoyed the debut album for Of Monsters And Men so this was an exciting follow up. I definitely enjoyed My Head Is An Animal a bit more but still Beneath the Skin has been a good follow up and I liked "Crystals" as a lead single even if it didn't make as much noise as I would have liked. This managed to peak at #19 with 22 weeks on chart and it ends the year at #66. This is the only entry for Of Monsters and Men. |
Note 1: In the 'chart run' breakdown (*) symbolizes charting for 2014. Those points are not accounted for but a song's entire chart run is included anyhow for completeness
Note 2: In the 'weeks on chart' (**) symbolizes that the song is still charting. This is also denoted in the 'chart run' as the last chart position is followed by a (-).

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
I think this is it for the night...I WILL finish this countdown this week though :)
#'s 65-61
#65.
Blonde f/Karen Harding “Feel Good (It’s Alright)” | Total Points: 1320 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 18** Chart run: 85-64-55-45-28- 26-21-18-10-6-7- 3-3-3-6-13-23-47-
| Well Blonde are just amazing. I love everything about them. They know how to produce a house record and they are great at picking vocalists too. Karen Harding I think really shines on this one. I had every intention of having this reach #1 but it settled for 3 straight weeks at #3. This is the first of two entries for Blonde and the second of three for Karen Harding.
| #64.
KDA f/Tinie Tempah & Katy B “Turn The Music Louder (Rumble)” | Total Points: 1320 Peak: 1 (3) Weeks on Chart: 14** Chart run: 97-82-62-50-21- 8-4-1-1-1-2-4-10-15-
| I commented on this during my dance countdown but I love everything about this song. The early 90's thing it has going on is just too perfect from the beat to the rap/singing combo. And Katy B - well she slays her vocals so how can it be ignored? This spent 3 consecutive weeks at #1 which is tough on this chart being so competitive. It continues to chart though it is slowly beginning its descent down the chart. This is the only entry for all 3 artists. | #63.
Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank “Shades Of Grey” | Total Points: 1321 Peak: 4 Weeks on Chart: 20 Chart run: 89-77-51-47-35- 26-21-12-7-4-4-5-9-15- 16-27-49-71-78-94
| Very cool collaboration here from these two guys. Pretty much everything that Oliver does I'm going to be into and this was no exception. I think it had a pretty good chart run too - quick but efficient and peaked at #4. This is the only entry on the chart for both Oliver and Shaun. | #62.
Civil Twilight “Holy Dove” | Total Points: 1327 Peak: 26 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 95-74-57-46-43- 43-46-40-33-33-33-29-28-26- 30-31-37-53-62-76-84-89-98
| South African bands are cool. I didn't actually discover them until Holy Weather a few years ago and I think this has been my favorite of their albums so far. I really like Steven's vocals too. I saw them live this year for the first time and they pretty much sealed the deal as far as how much I liked them. This is another song though that I had wanted to do really well - like top 10 - but I couldn't get it past the 20's. It did stay in that zone for a while so that helped it rack up points along with 23 weeks on chart which gets it to #62 year end. This is the only entry for Civil Twilight. | #61.
Ciara “Dance Like We’re Makin’ Love” | Total Points: 1332 Peak: 33 Weeks on Chart: 25 Chart run: 93-81-70-68-62- 54-46-51-47-50-49-55- 58-54-57-52-52-47-41- 33-38-63-73-90-99
| Hurray for Jackie! This to me was a return of the Ciara that I enjoy. I think its such an underrated album and this actually is my favorite off the album. But yet again, another song that I had a really hard time getting to the peak position that I would have wanted. I think for that reason it lasted 25 weeks on the chart because I kept trying to take it higher but it was too busy. It racked up a nice amount of points though and it ends the year at #61. This is the only entry for Ciara. |

So many great songs in the last sets, like "Holding On", "Treasured Soul", "Feel Good (It's Alright)", "Turn the Music Louder (Rumble)" and "Dance Like We're Makin' Love", among others.

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
LOL popstop "2 Heads" is a clever song to include on a Halloween playlist. Hadn't occurred to me before. Also, thanks for your comments Juan and Jake.
We're at the halfway mark. I think i'll be able to jump into the Top 50 later today if not tonight.
#'s 60-51
#60.
XYconstant “Silverlined” | Total Points: 1332 Peak: 5 Weeks on Chart: 20 Chart run: 94-77-62-55-41- 35-21-20-8-5-5-8-12-28- 35-51-57-65-86-100
| Ugh. This should have hit #1 but Demi and Major Lazer were just dominating at the time. I mentioned on the dance countdown that this was my first intro to XYconstant, yet another cool, young DJ out of the UK and he had me hooked from the start. He's got a pretty classic sound but a nice modern edge. This is the only entry for him this year but I have high hopes for "Do It Well" in 2016. | #59.
Modest Mouse “The Ground Walks, With Time In A Box” | Total Points: 1338 Peak: 16 Weeks on Chart: 21 Chart run: 91-75-65-55-45- 37-26-20-21-16-16-22-23- 28-27-30-37-47-57-80-92
| So talk about a long break. This was another return I was highly anticipating as it had been like 7 or 8 years since Modest Mouse's last album. Thank goodness it didn't disappoint. I was a huge fan of "Lampshades..." and this was a deserving follow up, to me. I struggled to get it into the top 10 where I wanted it which is why it circled around the top 20 a lot. It gets a good chunk of points for that though and ends at #59 which is more than modest. There is one more entry to come for Modest Mouse. | #58.
Alabama Shakes “Don’t Wanna Fight” | Total Points: 1347 Peak: 12 Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 89-91-73-57-54- 50-44-40-40-42-39-36-24- 20-15-12-28-39-55-67- 76-92-97-97
| Yay for the return of the great Brittany Howard & Co. otherwise known as Alabama Shakes! Another band that never fails to deliver quality and this follow-up album was just that. "Don't Wanna Fight" isn't even one of my faves of the album but its great nonetheless. It enjoyed a rather long chart run and a long, long climb to its peak of #12 which was fair. Its #58 EOY and is the only entry on the countdown for Alabama Shakes. | #57.
Karen Harding “Say Something” | Total Points: 1347 Peak: 5 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 96-86-82-71-55- 42-38-25-9-5-8-6-11-22- 36-53-66-69-80-86-91-99
| This narrowly missed the top 10 EOY on dance which makes sense because it reached #1 on there. Here, it peaked at #5 so I'm ok with its EOY position. Its a pretty flawless track where Karen is really able to showcase her vocals and she had me hooked from the start. Thanks again for the help MNEK. This is the highest entry for Karen. | #56.
Alex Adair “Make Me Feel Better” | Total Points: 1351 Peak: 4 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 88-87-60-52-42- 22-23-21-24-6-4-9-10-14-33- 41-57-67-73-85-93-99-100
| I think I said it on my dance countdown that this was in the top 3 as far as tropical house songs went last year. Great use of a sample, beautiful beat and such an uplifting sound overall. It really, really should have hit #1 on this chart - but it didn't. And I'm sad. But at least it peaked at #4. This is the only entry on the Top 100 for Alex. |
#55.
Klingande f/Broken Back “Riva (Restart The Game)” | Total Points: 1357 Peak: 6 Weeks on Chart: 21 Chart run: 80-63-60-46-32- 33-22-19-21-15-13-13-12- 6-12-39-55-62-69-79-90
| Another guy that does tropical house really well is Klingande. Super into this sound and this one in particular with that killer sax that I just couldn't escape. I'm surprised I was able to get it into the top because it was so busy on the chart at this time but its well-earned. This is the only entry on the EOY for Klingande. | #54. Big Sean f/Drake & Kanye West “Blessings” | Total Points: 1366 Peak: 6 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 94-75-65-63-60- 53-47-32-31-25-14-12-10-6- 7-10-31-42-59-72-84-94-100
| I've always been ambivalent toward Big Sean but this song kind of took my by surprise in a good way. They all sound really good on this one and I was actually more partial to the Kanye remix than anything - And I am not the biggest Kanye fan. This had rather a longer climb to its peak of #6 and for a minute I thought it would get to #1 but other songs took over soon after it peaked. This is the only entry on the top 100 EOY for all three artists. | #53.
Spoon “Inside Out” | Total Points: 1368 Peak: 14 Weeks on Chart: 27 Chart run: 98-98-90-88-82- 70-65-61-56-44-34-32-23- 14-17-18-29-26-23-35-45- 64-69-80-86-93-98
| Spoon! I love them. That is all.
Ok maybe not all, but they really are one of my favorite bands and I really enjoyed They Want My Soul and "Inside Out" ended up being my favorite song off the album. Kicking myself over and over again for not being able to get this into the top 10 but it enjoyed 27 long weeks on the chart which is how it gets up to #53 EOY. This is the only entry this year for Spoon. | #52.
MNEK “The Rhythm” | Total Points: 1368 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 20 Chart run: 81-62-47-37-26- 13-6-5-3-4-4-8-14-26- 32-54-62-70-81-93
| I've mentioned already how great I think MNEK is in not only producing great music for others but also for himself. The cool tribal-ish effect of this song caught me off guard in a very good way. I tried to get this to hit #1 on this chart but competition was rough. That's ok. It managed a #3 peak and 6 weeks in the top 10 which is great. This is the only entry for MNEK. | #51.
Mumford & Sons “The Wolf” | Total Points: 1372 Peak: 19 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 88-74-64-52-45- 39-36-37-28-27-19-20-23-27- 37-38-47-50-59-73-81-89-96
| Welcome back Mumford! Sans banjo >:( But hey, turns out they didn't need it. What a cool sound to come back with. I'm a big fan of Wilder Mind and I think the single releases have been well-chosen. I think I've actually enjoyed each single progressively more as they were released. What was I doing with this song to only peak at #19? I don't know. But it was really consistent in its run and charted for 23 weeks. It ends the year at #51 and this is the only entry into the top 100 for Mumford. |

OK, I can see it not going to #1, but you're also going to pay Alex Adair dust by only giving it five weeks in your top 20?
Oh well, it did better on your chart than mine. Nice to see Modest Mouse and XYconstant in there.

"Riva (Restart the Game)" is too low. Anyway, yay! for "Say Something" and "The Rhythm". I could say the same I mentioned for the Klingande track for the latter, but it performed similarly to my EOY chart, so I guess we're (kind of) twins. :)

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
Its the top 50! So the top 50 songs pretty much consists of songs that peaked within the top 5 or very near it as well as a few other songs with random peaks but that charted for a long time or spent several weeks floating around their peak which helps rack up points. Ultimately it does seem to cover the top 50 songs that I most enjoyed so its pretty exciting to see how things went down.
#'s 50-46
#50.
Tinie Tempah f/Jess Glynne “Not Letting Go” | Total Points: 1374 Peak: 4 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 87-74-61-41-25- 17-12-9-6-6-4-5-7-14-28- 31-43-57-71-91-94-97
| Ok so I lied before when I said Tinie Tempah had only one song on the countdown - here is the other one! JAM! Oh my gosh the 90's throwback vibe was real! I definitely still get my life to this. This was so good during summer. I anticipated this going to #1. It missed but still did so well. This is the highest entry for Tinie Tempah and the second of four for Jess. | | #49.
Robert Delong “Long Way Down” | Total Points: 1375 Peak: 21 Weeks on Chart: 28 Chart run: 93*-89*-92-82-80- 69-72-62-63-67-74-54-52- 35-33-24-26-28-24-21-25- 28-25-29-49-69-87-95
| Robert Delong is super cool. He has such a different sound and vibe and I love the bits of old school with a fully new school twist. There are so many good songs on In The Cards and this is a highlight for sure. As you can see from the chart run, I had a really hard time getting this to a higher peak but it did a lot of damage in the 20s. It also spent 28 weeks on the chart so its no surprise it ends the year at #49. This is the first of two for Robert Delong. | | #48.
Dirty Heads “Sound Of Change” | Total Points: 1386 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 98-88-82-75-71- 45-29-15-14-10-4-1-2-6-7- 14-33-45-59-66-80-89
| Probably my actual favorite thing off of Sound of Change and my probably my favorite thing to come for Dirty Heads. Its right my alley in tempo and production and vocals. Everything was on point for me. This really had no trouble getting this to the top because it won me over immediately. This is the only entry for Dirty Heads EOY. | | #47.
Devon Baldwin “Confession” | Total Points: 1389 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 89-85-73-72-45- 31-15-15-9-4-1-3-2-6-17- 29-41-60-73-77-88-99-99
| This girl is so cool! Remember American Idol? Well I had totally forgotten about her past the show until I saw her in concert last year opening for another fave, JMSN. She was ethereal and her EP was so freaking good. And this was quickly my favorite song of hers. Another song that had no trouble getting to #1 because I was pretty much seduced by it. This is the only entry to the top 100 from Devon. | | #46.
Fifth Harmony f/Kid Ink “Worth It” | Total Points: 1390 Peak: 8 Weeks on Chart: 28 Chart run: 92-89-87-59-48- 22-16-17-19-13-11-8-13- 36-40-48-57-63-65-65-66- 67-78-86-90-95-98-95
| YAS #5H! These bitches are so good. Loved, loved, loved them since their X-Factor merge. Saw them live last summer at the fair and they completed my transition from like to love. And this, I can truly say, has been my favorite thing they've done to date. No. Flaws. To. Be. Had. Oh wait - one flaw. I didn't make it #1 :( I suck. They don't! This is the only entry for 5H. | |

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
The top 40 is next but I probably can't get to it until tomorrow night. So much good stuff still to come!
#'s 45-41
#45.
Fono “Real Joy” | Total Points: 1424 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 98-87-79-73-63- 58-58-66-63-50-32-23-13- 11-6-3-4-8-24-52-69-79-91
| Well, I think I sang plenty of praises for this one on my dance countdown where it landed at #20. Again, thanks for Juan Carlos and King Calvin for bringing us to this one. This had a really long climb to its peak position and I'm not quite sure what took so long but it ended up at #3. So for it to end the year at #45 I think is pretty good. This is the only entry for Fono on the EOY. | | #44.
Watermat, Becky Hill & TAI “All My Love” | Total Points: 1427 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 18** Chart run: 89-73-60-56-34- 24-19-11-4-2-1-3- 2-4-8-19-41-60-76-
| So here is an example of where adding vocals to an originally instrumental song works very well. So glad Watermat took this one to the next level because I thought Becky's vocals just worked so well. This had a pretty easy road up to #1 where it spent one week along with 7 weeks in the top 10 which is really good on the all-format chart. This song is still charting though it is dropping and its the only entry for Watermat. | | #43.
Jess Glynne “Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself” | Total Points: 1428 Peak: 7 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 88-75-55-50-42- 36-31-15-11-12-8-7-8-8-13- 21-35-59-70-78-85-91-95
| So this song is super uplifting and the more I listen to it the more I really enjoy the lyrics. Jess Glynne just had such a great year for me and I think she's made the right single choices so far - at least for my taste. This is a highlight and I hope it can make it on Pop. It peaked at #7 but had a really strong run so it manages to finish at #43. There is still one more entry for Jess Glynne to come. | | #42.
The Kooks “Bad Habit” | Total Points: 1431 Peak: 6 Weeks on Chart: 39 Chart run: 94*-91*-82*-66*-46*- 39*-42*-43*-38*-30-36-40-45-52- 42-40-36-32-22-24-16-13-8- 7-6-12-23-37-48-59-75- 82-87-89-94-94-98-98-96
| The Kooks have been hit or miss for me but Listen has been a very enjoyable album. "Bad Habit" is by far my favorite thing to come from this album. With 39 weeks on the chart, it is the second-longest charter for 2015. A good chunk of those 39 weeks were in 2014 so this could have placed higher were it not for that. But also, for some reason this had a super, duper long climb and erratic climb at that. It ultimately peaked at #6 and had a rather slow fall so it manages to end the year at #42. This is the only entry for The Kooks. | | #41.
LANY “ILYSB” (Ferdinand Weber Remix) | Total Points: 1441 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 86-65-49-47-42- 29-26-22-16-8-3-3-3-7- 10-18-29-46-62-72-81-94
| So Ferdinand Weber really worked some magic on this one. I like this remix light years more than I do the original, which is not bad itself. This sounds so natural - it sounds like an original and not a remix as everything works so well. Truly I'd wanted this to get to #1 but it didn't end up working out. It managed to stay in the top 25 for 9 weeks which gave it a nice push to finish at #41 for the year. | |

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
Ok sorry no pictures because some images were not popping up properly even in Google images so...#notime.
Top 40 here we go! This section is mostly very high-peaking songs that didn't quite make #1 and a few songs that just had a good, strong run.
#'s 40-31
#40.
Cold War Kids “First” | Total Points: 1446 Peak: 26 Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 91-82-71-62-54- 47-43-35-35-30-31-30-26- 34-30-30-37-45-58-54-60- 65-80-88
| Pretty much I've always been a fan of these guys so it was great to get new music from them. I came across this album at the end of 2014 and I thought it was okay compared to their past stuff but there are definitely some gems and "First" is one of them so it was a happy day when it finally became a single. Chart-wise, well there is something to be said for consistency. This song peaked at #26 (and don't ask me why it didn't go higher) but it spent 9 of its 24 chart weeks between #35-25 which really racks up points. I think #40 year end really does it justice for how I had it massively underperform during its chart run. This is the only entry for CWK. | #39.
Felix Jaehn f/Jasmine Thompson “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” | Total Points: 1455 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 89-74-61-46-38- 30-19-16-16-9-4-3-3-6- 11-24-35-51-64-68-80-92
| I mentioned on my dance countdown how I really enjoyed Jasmine's vocals on this one. Nothing too special but I felt it went well with the chilled out vibe that Felix gave this song. I didn't quite get this to #1 on here but it got pretty close. This is the first of two entries to come for Felix Jaehn. | #38.
iLL BLU f/James Morrison “Lonely People” | Total Points: 1479 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 89-75-61-53-40- 27-23-16-19-17-15-10-5-3- 3-12-19-36-44-66-84-95
| LOVE! This was probably one of the more uplifting songs I heard all last year. It was a breath of fresh air for me and a bit of a different sound for iLL BLU. Loved James Morrison as vocalist. This had a bit of a long climb to its ultimate peak of #3 but it also had a pretty steady fall helping it end the year at #38. This is the only entry for iLL BLU. | #37.
In The Valley Below “Peaches” | Total Points: 1485 Peak: 18 Weeks on Chart: 27 Chart run: 99-92-86-94-95- x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x- 84-75-55-45-33-22-20-21- 25-19-18-27-28-22-24-36- 49-61-71-82-93-100
| So I actually had never heard of these guys despite this having been originally released in 2013. I first heard it at the end of 2014 on my local AAA station and I got into it. It had an odd chart run though as it fell off after 5 weeks of no getting very high. It was off the chart for nearly 3 months when it kind of clicked with me all over again and then it just kept going. I had hoped for top 10 for it but it ended up peaking at #18 and enjoyed a total of 27 weeks on chart. So despite the lower peak, the longevity and stability catapult it to end the year at #37. This is the only entry for In The Valley Below. | #36.
Modest Mouse “Lampshades On Fire” | Total Points: 1502 Peak: 2 Weeks on Chart: 26 Chart run: 96-93-80-62-45- 40-29-23-21-12-7-5-3-4-2- 5-7-17-39-45-48-59-69- 80-85-87
| I mentioned earlier in the countdown how glad I was to get new music from these guys and this first single was just too perfect. Kicking myself still for having this just barely miss #1 but that's ok. It had a really great chart run and spent a total of 26 weeks on with a pretty balanced descent so it does very well year-end coming in at #36. This is the second and final entry for Modest Mouse. | #35.
James Bay “Hold Back The River” | Total Points: 1513 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 76-61-54-39-29- 14-8-9-5-5-5-3-5-9-11-19- 27-43-58-72-82-89-99
| Hello Best New Artist! Oh wait... Anyway James Bay is so good! I'm so mad I didn't get to see him live a few months ago. I first heard this one on KROQ (which I thought was not the best sound for them but then this thing blew up so whatever) and I instantly was pleased by the vocals and the lyrics. Its such a great emotional performance from James too. This really should have gone to #1 but, well, I can say that about a lot of songs I guess. It did peak at #3 though and it ends the year at #35 which I'm happy with. This is the only entry for James. | #34.
Silversun Pickups “Nightlight” | Total Points: 1523 Peak: 2 Weeks on Chart: 21** Chart run: 81-73-63-49-37- 27-24-19-17-12-12-9-12- 8-5-2-5-10-26-45-63-
| Silversun! An actual super fave. I have never not liked anything from these guys and I've seen them live maybe 5 or 6 times now. They just rock. It was great to have new music from them and "Nightlight" was an excellent choice for first single. Not sure I'm happy with how this era is going but, oh well. This one was great. It peaked at #2 and it continues to chart though on its way down. This is the only entry for Silversun Pickups. | #33.
Omi “Cheerleader” (Felix Jaehn Remix) | Total Points: 1528 Peak: 5 Weeks on Chart: 25 Chart run: 85-62-45-25-22- 19-14-18-27-29-31-13-11-8- 5-5-6-10-23-37-44-57- 74-80-89
| So this didn't do quite as much damage on here as it did on Dance. It ended peaking at #5 on this chart which is respectable but not enough to get into the top 10 EOY like on Dance. Great job by Felix on this one though - he married everything together so well. At the time, this song always made me happy and its a perfect sing-along. This is the only entry for Omi and the second and final entry for Felix Jaehn. | #32.
Beirut “No No No” | Total Points: 1534 Peak: 11 Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 79-61-44-36-21- 20-20-19-18-16-15-14-15- 11-12-11-17-34-53-71- 73-87-97
| So, ok welcome back Beirut! Ahh the instant I heard this one I was in love with the melody. Zach's vocals worked really well with the production. Honestly, I'm not fully in love with too much else on the album and really they've always been hit or miss with me but with "No No No" I just couldn't say no. This ended up only peaking at #11 even though I was hoping for top 5 but it spent 12 consecutive weeks in the top 20 which gave it a really nice boost. So it ends the year at #32. | #31.
Duke Dumont “Ocean Drive” | Total Points: 1542 Peak: 2 Weeks on Chart: 21** Chart run: 86-65-44-38-24- 17-13-10-9-6-5-5-3-2- 7-9-14-28-46-61-75-
| The 80's synthy goodness is so real here! I have expressed in my dance countdown how much I just love Duke Dumont and how versatile and his sound is. This one is probably the most different from his other stuff and probably one of my most favorites too. It peaked at #2 and its still charting though its on its way out. This is the only entry for Duke this year. |

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
Pictures are back! Here is the next batch of 5. A couple of #1's plus a very close call and a few others with really strong runs and the song with the longest run on the chart. Top 25 coming tomorrow. Probably.
#'s 30-26
#30.
The War On Drugs “Red Eyes” | Total Points: 1553 Peak: 18 Weeks on Chart: 25 Chart run: 88-71-60-49-44- 37-36-32-28-28-31-26-28- 22-23-18-21-27-35-52-61- 73-82-88-95
| So yeah this is old. I actually charted this for two seconds on my Alt chart in 2014 but I came back to it last spring after hearing on the radio a bit more and it got its second wind. I then got into Lost In The Dream for its super 80's vibe - it has just the right mix of 80's influence with current twist. This enjoyed rather a long climb towards its eventual peak of #18 and with 9 weeks in the top 30 it really racked up points and manages a EOY position of #30. This is the only entry for The War on Drugs. | | #29.
Demi Lovato “Cool For The Summer” | Total Points: 1557 Peak: 1 (2) Weeks on Chart: 21 Chart run: 75-57-36-16-4- 1-2-1-3-4-9-13-22-34-49- 63-77-88-93-95-98
| Queen Demetria brought it with this one! She came back Confident for sure. This was the actual perfect summer jam and it shot right up to the top. It had one of the fastest climbs to #1 for the entire year and ended up with 2 weeks at #1 and then a slow descent. I was hoping it would be in the top 20 but with only 21 weeks on chart, that was tough to do. But hey #29 is great. Not sure what is going to happen with the rest of Demi's era but this was a flawless way to kick it off. This is the only entry for her. | | #28.
Elle King “Ex’s & Oh’s” | Total Points: 1558 Peak: 11 Weeks on Chart: 24** Chart run: 73-62-39-31-33- 24-22-16-14-14-18-18-14- 14-11-17-24-37-46-70-79- 86-92-97-
| Well this was an inescapable one. From the lyrics to Elle's performance and attitude - it was an undeniable hit. Probably one of the more fun sing-along songs for me this year too. My hope was that this would peak somewhere in the top 10 but I had a really hard time getting it there. But still, 9 weeks in the top 20 and a peak of #11 was enough to get it to #28 for the year. This is the only entry for Elle King on the top 100. | | #27.
Imagine Dragons “Shots” | Total Points: 1559 Peak: 2 Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 93-75-64-55-42- 27-23-18-11-8-7-5-2-4-7-8- 15-35-38-53-67-78-86-97
| While not as great as Night Visions, I did think that Smoke + Mirrors had some gems and this was one of them. Its just a super boppy, fun record despite the lyrical content which I think is a nice juxtaposition, right down to Dan's vocals. Plus, I mean synth-o-rama so obvious love. This one chugged and chugged along until it reached a peak of #2 which I wasn't even sure it'd get there but I'm glad it did. This is the only song on the EOY for Imagine Dragons. | | #26.
Walk The Moon “Shut Up And Dance” | Total Points: 1567 Peak: 1 (4) Weeks on Chart: 42 Chart run: 88*-73*-50*-30*-22*- 11*-7*-9*-4*-4*-3*-1*-1*-2*- 1-1-2-2-7-8-11-7-6-23-36-65- 72-65-68-76-82-75-77-71- 77-82-88-93-94-97-96-99
| Ugh! New favorite band. I honestly hadn't heard of them until SUAD and I've since gone back and really enjoy their first two albums. But the New Waveyness of Talking Is Hard is perfection. And who didn't like this song? Seriously? It rocked so hard in the last two years. It spent 14 weeks on the chart in 2014 and the remaining 28 weeks were in 2015 for a total of 42 weeks on chart. This is now the official record for longest charting song. This clocked in at #42 EOY on my Alt chart for 2014. This year it does much better despite its higher peaking weeks being in 2014 but it spent SO much time on that #26 is unavoidable. This is the first of two entries for Walk The Moon. | |

SUAD is such a cute song. :) How would it have done if you could have put the whole chart run in this year?
Nice showing for Demi and Elle

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
Its the Top 25! Three #1's, a very close call and a song with a long chart run squeeze into this section. I expect to wrap up the countdown and have the #1 revealed by tonight.
#'s 25-21
#25.
Jarryd James “Do You Remember” | Total Points: 1569 Peak: 3 Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 92-87-78-64-59- 46-39-28-24-24-28-15-10- 9-7-3-5-13-20-35-46- 59-73-86
| Australia is another country that is constantly churning out cool new artists and I was glad to discover Jarryd James last year. I'm really impressed by his voice and it led me to look further into Thirty One which is really a great album. This was a strong performer this year and it peaked at #3. I was tempted to get it to #1 but....crowded. It did last 24 weeks on the chart though so it doesn't surprise me that it places so high at #25 EOY because it had a really strong performance and a long climb toward its peak. This is the only entry for Jarryd. | | #24.
Blonde f/Alex Newell “All Cried Out” | Total Points: 1610 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 83-72-65-38-24- 21-11-7-3-2-1-4-8-14-29- 41-46-50-63-74-81-92
| I'll reiterate that 2015 was such a great year for Blonde. All three of their singles were fire and partly because they know how to marry their great production with equally awesome vocals. This is one of those that you can't help but get up and dance to - I've seen them drop this at various festivals and the reaction is always insane. This spent one week at #1 and had a strong run for 22 weeks on which brings it to #24 EOY. This is the highest entry for Blonde as well as Alex Newell. | | #23.
Calvin Harris f/Haim “Pray To God” | Total Points: 1618 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 79-59-43-22-18- 15-7-3-1-2-2-3-4-9-10-18- 31-42-60-76-92-92
| King Calvin! This is actually his first entry in the top 100 because "Outside" placed back at #145. I could gush about this song for ages and I mentioned in my dance countdown how this is far and away one of my favorite Calvin songs ever. I love that he gave a few things on Motion that sounded a bit different from what he'd been doing - something I missed from him. This managed a week at #1 but also a whopping 9 weeks inside the Top 10 which is tough to do. This is the first of two entries for Calvin on the EOY top 100. | | #22.
Atlas Genius “Molecules” | Total Points: 1654 Peak: 13 Weeks on Chart: 26** Chart run: 86-66-56-51-41- 37-44-39-30-26-16-17-17-21- 18-13-17-16-16-22-36-63-71- 80-85-99-
| Who didn't love Atlas Genius the first time around? Actually, I guess I know of several people but what do they know This was another return I was anticipating pretty highly and while not as good When It Was Now I did enjoy some stuff off Inanimate Objects and this continues to be the highlight for me. Yet another song that I had a hard time getting into the top 10 as it peaked at #13 but I had a really long climb toward its peak and has spent 26 weeks on chart though it is likely on its way out. Also, 8 of those weeks were inside the top 20 which really adds up. I'm glad to see it end the year strong at #22 despite me not being able to place it as high as I would have wanted. This is the only entry for Atlas Genius on the EOY. | | #21.
Jess Glynne “Hold My Hand” | Total Points: 1654 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 90-86-63-33-25- 25-27-25-14-6-4-2-1-2-6- 10-10-25-40-56-63-70-84
| Jess charted with 5 songs this year and 4 of those 5 are in the Top 100 year end. So she definitely takes the cake as the top vocalist for 2015 for me. This was my favorite thing from her and as such it ends up being the highest entry for her as well. "Hold My Hand" was inescapable and a great solo release for her, imo. This ended up with 8 weeks inside the top 10 which is on the higher end, and with a week spent at #1 it logs in at #21 for the year. | |
Note 1: In the 'chart run' breakdown (*) symbolizes charting for 2014. Those points are not accounted for but a song's entire chart run is included anyhow for completeness

Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
Yay its the Top 20! This next set of 5 features 3 former #1's as well as a song that should have been number one and another song that should have been #1 but wasn't though it does have the honor of being one of the top 3 longest-running songs on the chart. I fully expect to have this whole countdown wrapped up tomorrow.
#'s 20-16
#20.
Mumford & Sons “Believe” | Total Points: 1661 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 89-60-50-40-29- 15-16-11-9-5-2-1-2-6-9- 12-21-33-41-61-71- 76-85-98
| So I mentioned before how I missed the banjo when Mumford first came back with Wilder Mind but then I kind of just let things stand on their own and its still a pretty damn great album banjo or no. "Believe" was actually a really good first single helping us ease into this new Mumford - I personally think the singles only got better but I got really into this one as it came out. It spent one week at #1 and had a really steady chart run with a total of 24 weeks on chart so it ends the year at #20. This is the highest entry for Mumford & Sons. | | #19.
Tiesto & KSHMR f/Vassy “Secrets” | Total Points: 1672 Peak: 1 (2) Weeks on Chart: 22 Chart run: 89-72-57-40-34- 18-11-6-2-1-2-1-2-6-12- 24-38-55-66-69-88-97
| I think I stated in my dance countdown how this was truly one of my most favorite songs of 2015. This was a really great collab for Tiesto bringing some freshness to his sound. But also that drop and vocals combo was just so catchy - this got stuck in my head all day. This managed 2 non-consecutive weeks at #1 despite heavy competition at that time. This is the only entry on the top 100 for both Tiesto & KSHMR. | | #18.
Robert Delong “Don’t Wait Up” | Total Points: 1675 Peak: 4 Weeks on Chart: 23** Chart run: 95-77-71-56-42- 43-32-29-21-20-18-14-11- 7-7-4-5-5-8-12-30-48- 64-77-86-
| So, In The Cards is like really good and this is probably the best thing on the album imo. Delong's electro sound is such a nice breather from everything else - not too noisy but also really catchy. I just really enjoyed what he did with this album and there is no reason other than I'm dumb why "Don't Wait Up" should not have been #1. It did manage to peak at #4 though and managed 11 weeks in the top 20 with 23 weeks on the chart so far, though it is falling. This is the highest entry for Robert Delong. | | #17.
Calvin Harris & Disciples “How Deep Is Your Love” | Total Points: 1676 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 22** Chart run: 68-46-40-21-17- 9-6-6-1-3-2-6-8-13-27- 33-40-50-64-70-83-87-
| King Calvin is back with my other new favorite song of his. Yes, you can totally hear the Disciples influence on this, but that's what makes it great. He needs to get a bit more of that going on moving forward. This song debuted quite high and then moved quickly to the top peaking at #1 for one week as well as 10 weeks in the top 20 so that gave it a nice chunk of points. This song is still charting but pretty much on its way out. This is the highest entry for Calvin. | | #16.
Saint Motel “My Type” | Total Points: 1677 Peak: 7 Weeks on Chart: 35 Chart run: 96*-92*-85*-76*- 62*-57*-50*-45-37-38-40-60- 68-80-86-x-x-x-x-x-x-70-53- 33-20-15-12-8-7-7-11-21-36- 46-56-63-74-83-92-95-97
| This one had a really odd run on my chart because it started out doing decently at the end of 2014 but I had a ton of songs coming in at that time and it ended up peaking at #37 then I started to drop it. Then it did fall off the chart for 6 weeks but I kept playing it a lot while I was on work travel and I realized I had to get it back on the chart so it picked up a second wind and then climbed all the way back up to peak at #7. It ended up spending a total of 35 weeks on the chart, which is the third-longest run for the year. Not sure it would have gone that long had it not had a second run but I'm glad it did because it helps it end the year high at #16. This is the only entry for Saint Motel. | |

OMG, these songs are are all so amazing and deserve their top 20 placement, particularly Tiesto, Calvin, and Saint Motel. The latter was a top 5 finisher for me. How sad that they are all below Carly :(

omg you guys are brutal. sorry. I like too many songs :( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ So many great appearances so far, including "Real Joy", "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself", "Ocean Drive", "Shut Up and Dance" (most of the points it took this one was for 2014 on my EOY), "Pray to God", "Don't Wait Up" and "How Deep Is Your Love", among others. Oh! (inserts comment regarding "Cheerleader" being above "Real Joy").

How sad that they are all below Carly :( Glad you like those. Ahh yeah "My Type" is in a similar boat as was "Shut Up And Dance". If it had spent all of its chart run in 2015 it surely would have placed in the top 5 even without having been #1.
Oh {Spoiler} They're only barely below Carly. omg you guys are brutal. Albie's All-Format Top 100 of 2015
The next 5 songs have the honor or bad luck to be sitting just outside the coveted top 10. From here on out its pretty much all former #1's with the exception of two songs by bands that are due for their second chart appearance.
#'s 15-11
#15.
Carly Rae Jepsen “Run Away With Me” | Total Points: 1679 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 23** Chart run: 89-76-61-55-41- 35-25-22-15-20-20-10-10- 7-4-1-4-7-11-37-56-68-77-
| Just so that we're clear there are zero flaws with E•MO•TION. Well ok "I Really Like You" wouldn't have been my choice for first single but whatever. Carlegend decided that she wanted to descend upon the world and give us life. And so she did with her perfection of a pop album that the 80's wish they had. To be honest, this album is light years better than her debut, which was fine/ok/good etc. "Run Away With Me" was what made me come back and give a second listen and it was over after that. This song had a lengthy climb towards its #1 peak and its now on its way out but that's what helped it get all the way up to a year-end #15. This is the only entry for Carlegend. | | #14.
Sigala “Easy Love” | Total Points: 1683 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 24** Chart run: 83-69-52-41-32- 27-19-20-13-10-6-4-1-2-6-9- 13-38-52-68-74-85-90-95-
| I spoke to the perfection of this song on my dance chart and that still holds. Its so freaking feel-good and the sample is so well used. Truly I still just get up and dance and smile whenever I hear this song. Sigala made this song. I wish I could have given it more time at #1 as it logged 3 weeks at dance but The Arcs and Calvin Harris made it impossible. Still it has logged 24 weeks on the chart had a super strong run so it ends the year at #14. This is the highest entry for Sigala. | | #13.
Martin Solveig f/Sam White “+1” | Total Points: 1686 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 84-60-43-25-17- 8-3-1-2-4-5-8-11-12-19-28- 45-65-80-79-82-83-87-94
| I mean, I just couldn't get enough of this song. I know I said on my dance countdown that this was my favorite dance song of the year and I think that still holds true despite its placement. Its the beat, its the vocals, the whole production it all just works so well together and makes this far and away the best thing from Martin Solveig for me. I wish it could have managed 4 weeks at #1 like it did on Dance but it did get 1 week and then a really, really slow descent. This is the highest entry for Martin. | | #12.
Billie Black “I Don’t Need Another Lover” | Total Points: 1714 Peak: 1 (1) Weeks on Chart: 24 Chart run: 94-82-76-66-52- 43-26-17-17-13-11-6-3-1-2- 2-7-10-16-36-47-68-75-89
| Well, again, credit where credit is due as I can't thank the fab horchata for introducing me to Billie Black who quickly became a new favorite this year. And it was all thanks to this song. Its downright groovy and you can't help but sway to the soulful and sultry vocals. She combines so many influences so well: you've got some tech, housey, R&B, jazzy type stuff all going on in this song and its too perfect. Billie had a long fight up to the top but she got there eventually and spent a week at #1. This is the highest entry for Billie Black. | | #11.
Ellie Goulding “Love Me Like You Do” | Total Points: 1720 Peak: 1 (3) Weeks on Chart: 23 Chart run: 78-52-27-13-9- 7-2-1-2-1-1-6-8-14-22-31- 52-57-77-83-91-98-96
| I think I'm pretty consistently a fan of Ellie Goulding. Probably I enjoyed her earlier stuff more but you know what, I get her trying to capitalize on this more poppy sound and I'm good with it. Especially when its stuff like this. This was definitely one of my most favorite pop songs out there last year and maybe of the last few years. It emotes a certain feeling that I think I was missing from some of her more recent stuff. It managed to spend 3 big weeks at #1 at a very competitive time and it had a really solid run starting with a quick climb and then ending with a slower descent. So, it ends the year just outside the top 10 at #11. This is highest entry for Ellie. | |
