Ok, fuck you, 'Hot Boy' is a masterpiece. I am not sure the problem is America being too snobby especially considering some of the songs we have sent top 10 in the past few years. What songs do you mean? 'Gangnam Style' 'The Fox' 'Happy' 'Turn Down For What' 'Party Rock Anthem'

I was going to say nice try. But no effort was put into the creation of this unoriginal song. So I will say on to the next one!

I love watching these updates. She is losing about 15% of her spin total a DAY. I think the only spins this song is still getting are from AT40.

I'm surprised how well this is holding up on the Vevo charts.

oh sure, she happily takes that lead artist credit for money purposes but then claims she's only a featured artist when it benefits her

I think Iggy is commenting on the issue of her not being able to promote the track despite wanting to do so. In practical promotional terms she's been relegated to a feature role. At least that's what I read here. Surely this flopping is due to more than lack of promo, but certainly extra promo could've helped this. Cannot blame Iggy for feeling frustrated...

Promo wasn't the only issue and Iggy is fooling herself if she thinks that was literally the only problem. She sounds mildly whiny too that Britney didn't want to promote more. But, no one should be surprised by a Britney song not being promoted non-stop.

Not only that, but she should have been made aware of Britney's stipulations regarding Vegas and what can and can't be performed... which, I don't believe 'Pretty Girls' can be under Britney's contract. She's just bitching to bitch.

Are we totally sure that Britney can't perform on award show stages? I absolutely refuse to believe that she can't because of her contract. Mariah performs outside of her Vegas show? J.lo does and I'm sure next year when she starts Vegas she will be able to also. If Britney Jean Spears wants to perform outside of Vegas for award shows (not like it's a paid concert) she could EASILY switch up that "contract."

I always heard that she can't tour outside of Vegas or do paid shows, but she can promote singles at talk shows/awards shows. But, its not like I have actually looked through the terms of her agreement. Either way, Iggy should not act like she had no idea that Britney wouldn't be heavily promoting a single.

I was under the impression that she was not allowed to perform any song that had been added to the setlist. Not that a new song wouldn't be added to the setlist immediately anyway, so it's kind of a moot point.
I don't think it was happenstance that lead her to pre-record the performance at Planet Hollywood for the BBMAs.

Pretty unbelievable how things can turn out, huh? This song has had so much hype, and for what? This thread has 80 pages, the song is overall not too great, it only peaked at #29 on the Hot 100, and is a week or two away from dropping out of the Hot 100 after only 7 WEEKS of charting time.

What song by Britney recently got much promo through performances? I like "Pretty Girls" but I know a decent amount of people who find it annoying. I'm assuming more dislike it than like it. That's why it flopped. What is Iggy supposed to say though. I guess people hated my new song with Britney that's why it flopped? She probably should just say nothing about it anymore.

It was just a fail of a song for a transitioning popstar going into middle age. She had to reinvent herself for 2015 and it just didn't work. Simple as that. If we're comparing her to Madonna when she was Britney's age, she needed a "Secret". Something that was of the moment, but she totally made it her own. PG was something of the moment I guess, but it totally wasn't Britney. It was a rehash. "Secret" was no rehash. That's how I see it. Hopefully there is something better on the album, cuz the interest is definitely still there. Everybody see that "gay agenda" list on Facebook recently that says "bring back 2001 Britney"? lol

The reason this flopped is because it kind of suxx lol Her last 4 singles were either fantastic but not radio candy (Work Bitch) or garbage (Perfume, Pretty Girls) that only us the hardcore fans somewhat like. Ooh La La has a special place in my heart but it definitely wasn't a hit in any sense.
She doesn't need to go back to any sound. She has pretty much done everything and judging by her singles' performances over the years, there's simply no recipe for her. She's had songs that sounded like radio hits but flopped/underperformed (this, Slave, Boys, Gimme More, etc) and others that were risky but paid off (Toxic, Everytime, Amy etc). She simply needs a good song and she's more than capable of finding one as long as she works with the right people.

I just want her to create another great song period. I don't mind her more urban numbers, but "Pretty Girls" is no less pop than "Ooh La La", it's just cheesy, yet lacks a melody. It's probably my least favorite single of hers, maybe with "I Love Rock n Roll" and "Perfume" close behind.
