Oh oh oh!!! I wanna play too!
01.For My Broken Heart 02.Read My Mind 03.If You See Him 04.Room To Breathe 05.Duets 06.What If It's You 07.Rumor Has It 08.Keep On Loving You 09.It's Your Call 10.All The Women I Am
Starting Over, Whoever's In New England, Sweet Sixteen, and Reba switch back and forth to make it to my top 10, just depending on my mood!
Besides 1 and 2, the others may slightly change here and there, but not all too often! I'm truly expecting Love Somebody to take the #3 spot easily from the clips/previews, we'll see if it can beat #2, but who knows! No way in hell can anything take #1 from For My Broken Heart....seriously my most favorite album of all time...ugh, so good! <3
Going through her albums though, I need a new Live CD! Love the old one, but would sooo love a new one! And a new Christmas album. Her two are nice, but they don't get near as much rotation from me during the holiday season compared to the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Faith Hill, and Céline Dion, but just a personal preference. I think it's the production on Reba's that isn't my favorite thing? Not quite sure! Anyways!
I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! AHHHH! I'm rushing to Target after work tomorrow morning! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

"Love Somebody" is #3 on Amazon right now!! She is only behind Van Morrison & Taylor Swift!! By the time she makes all the public appearances this week I'm sure it will probably go to #1!! This is ONLY on Amazon but that's usually a pretty good indicator of how sells will look on Billboard!!

This is ONLY on Amazon but that's usually a pretty good indicator of how sells will look on Billboard!! If sales were still just Album sales, sure. But with streaming added into the equation now, I doubt she debuts Top 10 all genre. She probably won't even out pace Sam Hunt or Little Big Town on those charts. BUT on the country album sales chart (Which DOES just tally the country album sales and not streaming), she will have a good shot at #1, unless Dwight Yoakam out-sells her.

There is another big album coming tomorrow that could top the 200 chart. Shawn Mendes is forecast to sell in the 6 digits for his debut album. I saw that on Hits Daily Double. He hasn't had a radio hit but he is a 16 y/o youtube discovered singer from Canada. Kinda like a blend of Ed Sheeran and Bieber. Too bad hes releasing same day as Reba.

Just read this review on abc news. abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/music-review-reba-mcentire-shines-love-30286451Music Review: Reba McEntire Shines on 'Love Somebody' Apr 13, 2015, 2:14 PM ET By MICHAEL McCALL Associated Press Associated Press Reba McEntire, "Love Somebody" (Starstruck/Nash Icon/Big Machine) "Love Somebody" is Reba McEntire's best album of the 21st century because it draws on her strengths: That is, subtly and powerfully interpreting substantial story songs about adult relationships set to contemporary country music. At 60, the performer — she bills herself by her first name these days — remains a remarkable vocalist, capable of stunning ferocity and dramatic nuance. She's one of the great traditional country singers of her time, but she prefers pushing herself to stay current. Always ambitious, she errs only when she tries to appeal to radio with material that's too lightweight for her talent and maturity. "Love Somebody" strikes a perfect blend, especially on songs like "She Got Drunk Last Night," written by Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, and the title song, co-written by Sam Hunt, which finds McEntire rising to a challenge of mixing tongue-twisting stanzas with a testifying chorus. Other highlights include a duet with Jennifer Nettles on "Enough," dealing with a partner who leaves her feeling like she's not worth the effort he puts into the rest of his life, and the emotional ballad "Just Like Them Horses," a tribute to her rodeo champion father, written by friends Liz Hengber and Tommy Lee James. With "Love Somebody," McEntire proves she still has far too much to say to rest on her laurels.

As expected, "Going Out Like That" slides to #36 this week, but keeps its bullet. Blake Shelton flew past her, and Luke Bryan's album track "Games" also got ahead of her this week. Out of the songs that she's been sticking close to, she actually gained slightly more than Maddie & Tae, and a little less than Kip Moore. Less than 100K separates Kip at #34 and Reba at #36, so she could easily pull ahead of them again next week. Top 30 still isn't out of the question, but more stations getting on board will really help her in that respect. Maybe some stations will be swayed by this week's promo/hopefully good album sales numbers.

Oh wow I never thought I'd see somebody who ranked "So Good Together" at the top! That seems to be one of her least liked albums whenever I hear people talk about her discography. Yeah, to a lot of fans, So Good Together is like an ugly step sister (perhaps because they got tired of hearing the title song for so long in the opening of her live show). In my case, I'd been a long time fan but it was during that album era that I saw Reba live in person for the first time, during The Singer's Diary tour...and she sang several tracks from the album. I actually like the album a lot, especially that Boz Scaggs duet with Jose & Durval from Brazil. I can sing along to it but I don't know what all the words mean! lol

I found an article talking about a cross-platform promotional partnership with NBCUniversal. Based on what it says, I assume there will be no live performance on The Voice this week but it looks like she's still got a live performance scheduled on the show some time in May.

Heard this on the radio last night and I was shocked...because I heard it on 102.5 KNIX. That's the Clear Channel station here in Phoenix. I knew they added it way back in March (or maybe it was February) but I hadn't heard GOLT on the radio yet, aside from spring break week when I was home (where I heard it several times, but all on Cumulus stations).

Wow, the day of the album release and no posts about it. I just picked mine up from Target and listened to the whole thing. I had heard some songs before today but tried not to listen to too much. It's a great CD for sure, top 5 at least. There are a couple of songs that will have to grow on me. Emerging as a favorite right out of the gate is "That's When I Knew" - just a classic Reba sound to me. The two bonus tracks are very enjoyable. "She Got Drunk Last Night" and "Love Land" will take just a little getting used to. I like them, but their melodies are a little different. I struggle a bit sometimes when it sounds like singers are just trying to cram a bunch of words into a line with no real framework. But that's just me. All the songs are so good - I can't wait to listen to it over and over. Just having new music from Reba makes everything seem right in the world!

Also one in the general artists forum. Thats where the posts are.

I'll play!! My favorite Reba albums are:
1. My Kind of Country (84) 2. Have I Got A Deal for You (85) 3. Rumor Has It (90) 4. For My Broken Heart (91) 5. Starting Over (95) 6. What If It's You (96) 7. If You See Him (98) 8. Room to Breathe (2003) 9. Duets (2007) 10. Keep On Loving You (2009) 11. Love Somebody (2015)
I think Reba's new CD, "LOVE SOMEBODY" is my favourite album, it's full of awesome songs that are just beautifully sung!

Any sales predictions yet? Yep! You can read more here, but they say she could move 55,000-60,000 units this week. I love that, because I personally expected much less - though I admit those expectations were pointless considering this unprecedented situation with Nash Icon. Her last one debuted with 64,000, which shows how devoted her fanbase has been despite the relative silence over those five years. She has also had much less airplay support this time. Very good numbers!

Thank you. That's what I was hoping for, at least 50K, if she passes the predictions, that's good too, but pretty solid. I wonder where she'll end up on the Billboard 200, given #1 country is most likely.

Potentially 60k+ would be a very, very impressive opening for Reba's album. I was thinking she'd do maybe 40-50k max. There aren't very many artists currently on the airplay charts that could debut with 60k. I doubt Tyler Farr, for example, will debut that high. Lee Brice couldn't. Billy Currington only did like 30k with his last album. So many of the new artists that radio is playing will be lucky if they can debut with 30-40k when they finally get albums out, and Reba is doing this all with minimal airplay. Artists like Frankie Ballard, Eric Paslay, Gloriana, Dustin Lynch, Eli Young Band, etc. would all love to debut with numbers that high.

Now that the album is out. For those of you who heard the three songs reba tried out before this was released, what songs were tested? I know it was Goinf out like that and live somebody. What was the third song?

This song has had bizarre updates the last few days. Beginning with the April 9 Mediabase update:
04/09: -1 spin, +0.150 million in audience 04/10: +18 spins, +0.110 million in audience 04/11: -56 spins, +0.171 million in audience 04/12: +11 spins, +0.074 million in audience 04/13: -27 spins, +0.145 million in audience 04/14: +24 spins, +0.645 million in audience 04/15: -27 spins, +0.463 million in audience
The overall trend in spins hasn't been good at all (her 7-day bullet is now -62), but somehow the song is up over 1.2 million in the last 3 days...which, if you've been following her chart run all along, is more than she's been able to gain in weeks and weeks.
The bad news is that this won't translate to an increase in chart position. Almost all of the audience she's gained this week is from Westwood One, and their airplay doesn't count toward Billboard's chart. And it obviously doesn't help much on Mediabase either, given that Reba's audience is now almost twice what Big & Rich have...and yet B&R are at #37 and Reba is at #38.
My conclusion: Despite this song gaining in audience, I think it's probably just about peaked (I base this prediction off Reba's decrease in spins, and the fact that I don't really count Westwood One). I'm guessing that the Cumulus block has pushed this as high as they're willing to (most Cumulus stations have been spinning the song 50-70 times a week, which is a LOT for Cumulus).
We'll probably know by the end of the week if GOLT can rebound or not...if it can't, then bring on "Enough"! Even with Reba signed to Nash Icon, I could see the non-Cumulus stations ignoring that, especially if "Enough" were to be jointly-promoted by UMG (Jennifer Nettles' label) along with Big Machine (the Valory imprint has promoted GOLT, given that the Nash Icon imprint doesn't have a radio promo team).

I'm kind of ready for them to move on from GOLT, at least on the country chart. They could still go for a dance hit with it. Any further gains in country would only come at very great expense and a top 30 hit is really not much better than a top 40 hit. I'd think they'd have a much easier time fighting the chart battle with Enough. To me, it seems that song will be much harder for iHeartRadio to ignore because of both the involvement of Jennifer Nettles and the stellar vocal ear candy.

What was the third song? The songs were "Going Out Like That," "Love Somebody," and "Enough." And if I remember correctly, "Enough" got a pretty big reaction among those who heard the three tracks, but a more uptempo song made sense for the comeback single. So I'll bet it is very likely that "Enough" could be released as the second single!

I guess I will just never understand the business - or people - for that matter. I'm a fan of Reba's. I follow her career and stay up to date on what she's doing. Her facebook page has more than 6 million likes. Why aren't all of those people buying the CD?
