Is it just me or is anyone else having trouble finding a copy of John Anderson's "Goldmine"? I just assumed I wasn't going to be able to find it at the big box stores & went straight to Ernest Tubbs Record Shop (a touristy record store in Nashville). I found it but sadly they have been going thru some financial troubles lately & there was a lot of empty bends. I think you can order it from them.... Ernest Tubb Record Shop is probably on its last legs in Nashville. They closed the shop by Opryland. Sad because they've been my go-to for Hard to find Country releases. Guess I'll order those through Grimeys (it's where I found the Stapleton physical CD and will be getting the Stapleton vinyl).

Just a reminder to K.T. Oslin fans, her first album in 14 years "Simply" is out today at all retail and on ITunes. It's brand new very different versions of 8 older songs of hers and 1 brand new one. itunes.apple.com/us/album/simply/id996788651K.T. could never happen today. Imagine a 46 year old female getting signed and then top 10 singles into her early 50s. I guess that would be a very ripe tomato? A short piece from The Tennessean on "Simply K.T. Oslin" "K.T. Oslin Releases First Album In 14 Years" This week singer K.T. Oslin releases her first album since 2001. But don’t call it a comeback. “We’re not trying to get back on a label or make a big splash with this,” she says. “We just wanted to make a record for fans to buy at shows.” Called “Simply,” the record features one new song alongside a collection of rerecorded versions of several past hits, featuring new, stripped-down arrangements of songs such as “80’s Ladies” and “Hold Me.” The older arrangements were “too busy,” Oslin explains, adding, “I don’t feel them the same way now.” While some aspects of the recording process have changed over the past 15 years — Oslin marvels at how “Simply” was recorded in her bass player’s basement on “a machine that’s about the size of my purse” — she and her four-piece band quickly got in the groove, completing the project in three days. Two-and-a-half decades after she last topped the country music charts, Oslin, 73, isn’t entirely sure where she’ll go from here: “We’d love to do some shows. It’s kind of difficult: You have to be an arena act or work all the time, and I’m not going to do either one of those.” She shrugs, “I never plan ahead … we’ll see what happens.” Reba Mcentire just posted the link to buy this album on her FB, Twitter, and IG accounts! I love to see her promoting K.T. after all these years! My 2 favorite 80s Ladies!

Thanks for posting this, rbundy1987. I wonder if "Just Add Water" is the same song Terri Clark recorded for her latest album, Some Songs.

This was back in like August of 2014, so I can't remember exactly how it went but I do know I enjoyed it. It's not "bro-country" though. "Yup" is a really stupid title but I haven't heard a bad Easton song yet. I think you should wait til you hear the songs. :)

No, "Wild Women And Whiskey" is not a bro song. It sounds like a 90's neo-traditional country tune that maybe Alan Jackson or Brooks & Dunn would have recorded. I'm really excited for Easton's album, but there are a couple of titles on there ("Yup", "Damn Girl", and "Diggin' On You") that don't sound promising, at all. I hope those songs aren't as bad as the titles.. I'm also wondering if it's a re-recorded version of "Are You With Me", or if it'll be the exact same as the version that was on All Over The Road.

Great voice great production but man the writing can be bad some times. I'm looking at you All Over Road. But I'll check it out when it comes. But I mean Yup screams "bro-country". But that's my opinion.

"Waitin' On A Plane" off Maddie & Tae's new album is amazing. Not sure if it was recorded at the time, but it really would have made for a better second single IMO. "Fly" might work it's way up the charts decently, but I don't think it'll be very memorable for them. Luckily it sounds like they have a few solid options for single #3.

Thanks carriekins for the live video; now I remember. "Wild Women And Whiskey" was the song I thought they should have released if it wasn't going to be "Baby Be My Love Song", lol. It does sound like straight up 90's country though, so that might not have boded well on radio but it definitely was a highlight of the RTM survey.

There's not a lot of really interesting-sounding titles on Easton Corbin's album, but I've loved most of what he's put out so far and judging by the first two songs released from the album and the style of music he does, I'm still pretty optimistic that it'll be good stuff. The title "Yup" doesn't bother me for instance because Joe Nichols just had a big hit with "Yeah" and that was probably my favorite song on Crickets as well as one of my very favorite country radio singles last year. Not too excited about seeing "Are You with Me" being reprised for this record because I was never enamored with that one the way others were, but if it's an updated version that somehow makes me enjoy it more, I guess I'll take it. And I'm curious like codyj100 about "Just Add Water" possibly being the same track that Terri Clark recorded last year, which I LOVE. The length of Easton's is a bit longer than her's was though, so I'm leaning towards it not being the same song, but who knows.

codyj100 it is not the same as Terri's version. There used to be a YouTube video of it but it's not up anymore.

If "Are You With Me" is the same song (Collin Raye once recorded two songs with the same title ["If I Were You"] so it wouldn't be unprecedented) but in all honesty, I expect it to be the same song. I should hear soon enough though. I'll let you know. AND, if it's the same song with the same arrangement, I'd expect it to be a single this time around.

It's the same Are You With Me. 99.9% sure. They recorded a video for it when AOTR was out, and it's one of Easton's favorites as well as a fan favorite.

Guess I'll order those through Grimeys (it's where I found the Stapleton physical CD and will be getting the Stapleton vinyl). Yeah, I gathered as much when I picked up Johns record. I'm pretty sure it was the owner I was talking to in hindsight. I asked if they were gonna make it and he just looked devastated by the question & kind of trailed off. Almost all of the cds were gone except for those el cheapo Gusto record compilation discs. I'm sure gonna miss them as thay were my go-to place for the hard to find records too. Its funny , Grimeys is the only store in town I've never walked into. I just always assumed they didn't deal in country much...

It's small but they usually get 1 or 2 of the new-releases, especially indie stuff but their used store next door is nice (I found a Jace Everett album there).
