There's not a lot of really interesting-sounding titles on Easton Corbin's album, but I've loved most of what he's put out so far and judging by the first two songs released from the album and the style of music he does, I'm still pretty optimistic that it'll be good stuff. The title "Yup" doesn't bother me for instance because Joe Nichols just had a big hit with "Yeah" and that was probably my favorite song on Crickets as well as one of my very favorite country radio singles last year. Not too excited about seeing "Are You with Me" being reprised for this record because I was never enamored with that one the way others were, but if it's an updated version that somehow makes me enjoy it more, I guess I'll take it. And I'm curious like codyj100 about "Just Add Water" possibly being the same track that Terri Clark recorded last year, which I LOVE. The length of Easton's is a bit longer than her's was though, so I'm leaning towards it not being the same song, but who knows. If "Are You With Me" is the same song (Collin Raye once recorded two songs with the same title ["If I Were You"] so it wouldn't be unprecedented) but in all honesty, I expect it to be the same song. I should hear soon enough though. I'll let you know. AND, if it's the same song with the same arrangement, I'd expect it to be a single this time around. Matt, "Are You With Me" is the same song that was on Easton's last album. Before "Baby Be My Love Song" was released, there was a Rate The Music survey for the label to gather feedback (for what single should follow "Clockwork"). The options were "Baby Be My Love Song", "Wild Women And Whiskey", "About To Get Real", "Kiss Me One More Time", and "Are You With Me" -- and it was the same "Are You With Me" from his last album.

I know it's a long time ago, but Michelle Wright included "We've Tried Everything Else" on The Reasons Why and then on her follow up album For Me It's You, and it never became a single.

Even though we've been able to listen to it for a couple of years now, it's just such a great song. I remember liking all the other songs from the RTM survey and I'm sure most of the tracks will be good (Easton hasn't disappointed me yet), but AYWM is definitely A+ material in my book.

I listened to Gloriana's "Three" today and the album was terrible. It sounded like Lady A with FGL type of songs. :(

I'm glad Easton is doing this. I'm looking forward to the new album. There are so few REAL Country singers we can look forward to. Another real Country singer, Scotty McCreery, is doing the same thing Easton did. He's recutting "Forget to Forget You" for his new album, which is the fan's favorite non-single from his SYT album. Scotty said himself the only reason why it wasn't a single was cause it took too long for STY and FI to chart. So maybe it'll get another chance. I'd suspect that is the same reason Easton is re-recording "Are You With Me" is cause his other singles took too long and he wants it to have another chance.

Martina McBride has begun recording her first NASH Icon album. https://instagram.com/p/3g0e8FE5hz Wow, I cannot wait to hear this song! Although, the title on the music does not appear to be "Reckless", like Windmills Country's tweet suggests... It looks like three short words to me. Can anyone read what the lyrics sheet says?? Edit: She also tweeted later that they were moving on to song #3. I wonder if she plans to just knock out the whole album in a couple of days and get a lead single out in the next couple months. The sooner the better, in my opinion!

I do wish they had announced this a bit sooner so I didn't have to spend so much importing it but I'm excited non the less. I wonder if the album cover is going to be different than the Australian release?

This Record is definitely country. Just listening for first time today. Like the great George Strait records of the past, it blends contemporary with the traditional country stuff. This is still very much a country record. Sure "Guys And Girls" has anthemic contemporary writers but the song could be a Gold/Platinum song for Easton (it never doesn't feel like a country song though, even with some cliched lyrics about truckbeds and moonlight in there). "Diggin' On You" is one of 3 co-writes by Easton. "About To Get Real" has 2/3 of the Peach Pickers as co-writers (and the production has percussive loops) but it still isn't anything but a country song (there's even enough steel guitars). "Yup" also has percussive loops in the production but it's used as part of percussive melody not just something cribbed from pop. "Wild Women and Whiskey" is a steel-laced Ronnie Dunn/Terry McBride co-write that's sure surprise some fans as you can definitely hear Ronnie in Easton's vocal here. It's a very nice song that will recall the 90s for many. "Damn Girl" (also an Easton co-write) isn't a cringe worthy song and the lyrics explain away Easton's use of the phrase ("I don't like to use this kind of language around a lady but...Damn Girl...") It feels very Strait Country to my ears. "Just Add Water" is a fun summery song while "Like A Song" is definitely a contender for the most George Strait-like song never recorded by Strait (Easton co-wrote this too). All in All, it's a very strong third record for Easton and I'd be surprised if he didn't have a few more hits from this record. I can see why "Are You With Me" was added to the record. It deserves to be there and still feels like one of the potential singles. If I had to guess I'd say ""Damn Girl," "Yup," "About To Get Real" and "Guys With Girls" are competing with "Are You With Me" as the follow-up choices behind "Clockwork" and "Baby Be My Love Song." Actually, I'm surprised "Clockwork" made this record as more than a bonus track.

Craig Campbell talked about his upcoming music with the Boot and the likely lengthy wait for his upcoming album: The BootThis isn't a surprise since I expect a long chart run for "Tomorrow Tonight", even though I expect it to be a big hit in the end. Wouldn't surprise me at all if "Tomorrow Tonight" ends up peaking between January and March of 2016.

Available through his site beginning this past Friday- Buddy Jewell's My Father's Country, his first new studio release in 5 years. The classic country collection includes Buddy's rendition of hits from such legendary artists as Glen Campbell, Charlie Rich, Waylon Jennings and more.
Jewell has signed with Lamon Records, partnering with one of the oldest indie labels in Nashville. Jewell met Lamon Records’ producer and CEO Dave Moody at this past year’s George Shinn Foundation’s “Shinn-dig” at Lipscomb University where they were both performing for the TV Special that aired in Nashville on Christmas day.
“When Dave first approached me, it was like he was reading my mind… it was meant to be,” Jewell says. “I’d been toying with the idea of doing a classic country cover project and had actually begun picking out material in advance. One of the tunes I was strongly considering was George Hamilton IV’s “Abilene” written by songwriting legend J.D. Loudermilk. I’ve ALWAYS loved that tune. While talking to Dave, I became aware of Mr. Hamilton’s and Mr. Loudermilk’s friendship with the Moodys and Lamon Records. That helped to seal the deal for me.”
Track listing: 1. Is Anybody Going To San Antone ? 2. Galveston 3. In The Misty Moonlight 4. Behind Closed Doors 5. I’ve Always Been Crazy 6. Singing the Blues 7. Abilene 8. Green, Green Grass of Home 9. If We Make It Through December 10. Smokey Mountain Memories
