So happy that this is finally Top 40! I hope it can pick up the pace a little bit and keep up a steady climb. This is connecting too well for it to not be a big hit, imo. I'm also excited thinking about her sophomore album finally being released on the heels of this, too.

Never thought about Jana Kramer much until I heard this song. I love it and I hope it gets further up the charts. It needs to already be at the top of the charts. Lot better song than most of them at the top now. IMO.

After first cracking the Billboard top 40 back on April 20, Jana should set a new peak tomorrow, likely #38 or #37. It's hard to tell how far Jake Owen is going to drop, but I've got him and Jana coming in in the 37-38 spots. If I had to guess, I'd give Jana a 60% chance of landing at #37, just ahead of Jake. If Mickey Guyton were to go recurrent (I don't think it's likely but it could happen), then that could move Jana up another notch.

To your credit though, you did caution everyone that Jana would likely not improve her position the following week. Though I don't think many saw her having to wait another seven weeks just to re-crack the top 40... I'm also glad this has made the top 40 on both MB and Billboard. Jana is not a preferred vocalist of mine but the song itself is very good and the more females the better. :)

Has this song been doing better it feels like Jana's song isn't moving at all on the charts. Hopefully Jana can hold off some fast songs from like FGL Hunter Hayes Miranda Lambert and Chris Young at least for one more week. But this is a song that I am watching everyday to see how it does.

Sorry for a double post. But why did Jana gain 474K I think yet only gained 20 spins. Is WestWood One stations over this song Cumulus. Can one of the chart gurus like Sabre or Jamie find out I can't find anything.

Westwood One adds and conversions are the other way around...The song would have big spin increases but moderate audience gains. Cumulus has been on board this song since well before the add date, so my guess would be that some big market stations added this or increased rotation. This would explain why a moderate spin gain would translate to a larger audience gain. However, just one day of a strong audience gain really doesn't mean much yet. I will look through the leaders and starters for this song but I would wait 'til this has a few consecutive days of higher audience gains to say there's some specific reason for this. Thank u because I am curious to see if the gains are assosciated with Billboard. Wasn't sure how Westwood One worked. Go Jana! Top 30 is next hopefully.

You were right raylatch98. This did get the Westwood One add and I must have been drinking too much today, since I got things totally mixed up, lol. Westwood One actually does mean bigger audience gains and moderate spin gains, not the other way around. That's why Jana had the big gain today and will continue to have big audience gains this week. This won't translate to a good week on Billboard, then. On that note, I need to go sit down somewhere.

No! Man and I was thinking Jana was gonna have a great week. Dang she'll have to fight to stay in the Top 40 for Billboard. Ok calm down Jana should do well soon.

Yes, Westwood One means "big audience from few spins". On Westwood One Mainstream Country, 1 spin is equal to roughly 100k in audience, and on Westwood One Hot Country, 1 spin is equal to roughly 30-40k in audience. When I saw Jana's MB update this morning my first thought immediately went to Westwood One, but I didn't have a chance to check until now.

This is really doing well this week especially in audience. It really is nice to see good updates for this considering I think it really is the best thing she has ever released. I think this song could eventually become the biggest hit for her even if it doesn't go top 5 like "Why Ya Wanna". Its being received well right now. I hope her label is ready for the next big push that its gonna take to get her top 30.

I hope her label is ready for the next big push that its gonna take to get her top 30. "I Got The Boy" is doing well this week in audience because Westwood One (W1MC) added the song and has accumulated for roughly 1.5 million of its audience (17 spins), and "I Got The Boy" has gained roughly 2.0 million in audience this week; so basically 75% of Jana's audience gained this week on MB is from that station. I agree though that things are looking rather up for "I Got The Boy" the past couple weeks and Westwood One adding the song certainly helps, but it is important to realize how drastically they can cause a song to rise in audience.

Yet another standout track with another downright infuriating chart run, easily superior to over 90% of the tunes in the Mediabase top 40, or top 50 for that matter.

And what's worse is that it's actually selling. It's a traditional sounding song by a female but it's connecting with the buying public. "I Got the Boy" is selling right on par with Frankie Ballard, who is in the Top 15, while Jana is about 20 positions lower. If radio would just play this, I think it could be huge.

Jana is stuck. She has had a decent week this week but man some songs just won't die. Easton's not losing enough. Reba is not giving up, and Mickey continues to just hang in there. The good news for Jana is that there isn't a lot of threats coming up yet. It should be a while before Dierks, A Thousand Horses or Kelsea catch up. Hopefully those weak songs I mentioned along with some others can give up soon so Jana can keep it up. Look for her to stay at 36 this next week.
Come on Jana

Sorry for a double post but it's looking like the path is starting to clear for Jana to hit the Top 30.
This week should be able to nab Jana a three point jump to number 33 do to Reba (probably) Easton Corbin and Mickey Guyton (even if not Jana is making the pass) all going recurrent so at the worse #34.
The following week is where it gets intresting Blake will definitley be recurrent by then so that's one spot up Reba will be done by then. I'd imagine Canaan Smith would be recurrent by then. So that'd get her #31 now she needs one of the following songs to go recurrent.
Brad Paisley Crushing It (come on just die already.) Chase Rice Gonna Wanna Tonight (maybe their content with a Top 20) Eric Church Like A Wrecking Ball (This one I'm convinced is reaching the end soon)
With all those songs leaving soon Jana should find another spark hopefully. Eh Maybe I'm reading too much into this.
Once again sorry for the double post.

Hows the song been doing recently? Is it pretty much on lock for top 30 next month?

Hows the song been doing recently? Is it pretty much on lock for top 30 next month? Jana has gained 64 spins and 350k in audience so far this week and has a decent shot to be top 30 on Billboard by Monday. It's looking as if she'll be #31 or #32 on MB with only one recurrent (Canaan Smith) and both Chris Young and Brothers Osborne (which were songs #30 and #31 this past week) are just too far ahead right now for Jana to overtake them. "I Got The Boy" got 5 more adds this past week and will definitely make the top 30 and perhaps the top 20 as well. Jana really had to weather the storm back in April and May when there such a overabundance of singles from new artist and heavy hitters alike and the sales have certainly been one of this song's saving graces, along with this label promotion team. I'm feeling optimistic about "I Got The Boy" right now and I think this song is having a very steady climb at the moment.

Oh! Didn't make the connection that I had heard this song live when Jana was at a showcase event last November with several other female acts. It was the most memorable of the songs I had not previously heard from her. But I liked it better live, and the Opry live posted above, than the recorded track which I've yet to hear in my area on radio. For some reason the recorded version sounds a little heavy but I hope it continues to move up for her.

Officially top 30 on BB where it rises to #29.
As for the song, I like it and I hope this goes top 20.

I know we probably have a few more months until a album announcement but what do you think it'll take to get it released?

Jason will go recurrent on Sunday. Even though his losses were minimal on the July 27th issued chart, he still lost spins, audience and points along with his bullet.

Isn't it both Little Big Town and Jason Aldean. Maybe Crushing It falls underneath Jana.
