Listening to Kelly Clarkson's glorious "Take You High" got me thinking of what I'm going to call (for lack of an official name that I'm aware of) the "stutter" affect -- a kind of rhythmic, electronic distortion of vocals in a song, to the point where the singer's voice itself becomes a kind of beat.
What other songs feature this effect? Off the top of my head, I think of this as a little bit of an Ellie Goulding signature (e.g., "Starry Eyed"), although I'm sure it's been used by a lot of artists for a while, especially in the alternative realm. It's easy to see a relation to beat-boxing as well.

Isn't it just a staccato though? Except that the voice is used instead of a traditional instrument?

It's a digitally produced vocal stacatto, which essentially sounds like a stutter. The two songs that immidiately came to mind were 'Sleazy' and 'I Wanna Go'.

At you all for forgetting the song that made this mainstream; 'Stutter' by Joe (the remix at least). Nicki Minaj uses it in her verses sometimes as well like in 'Only.' Also does 'I Can't Stop Drinking About You' count?

I love it when songs have this effect in them! Ke$ha and Brintey immediately came to mind.
"Break Free" kind of has this. Zedd uses her voice during the outro in the same way that "Take You High" uses her voice in the chorus.

Sia - "Elastic Heart"
It's not Sia's, but somebody's voice is the entire melody.
