This sounds really strong on first listen, but I think I'd like it even more if it were slowed down a bit. It almost sounds like it was intended as a ballad and they sped it up to make it mid-tempo. There's plenty of urgency in his voice, but the tempo takes away some of the conflict presented by the lyrics.

This is about what I've come to expect from Chris.
Stellar vocals paired with average material.
He's capable of so much more than this.

Almost three years? "Aw Naw" was released exactly two years ago lmao Waiting for the official release, but I'm excited for this! Chris is one of my favorite current country artists.

This is pretty solid. Didn't blow me away, but it's definitely a song I won't mind listening to all the time. I think it's better than all 3 singles off A.M. already., though "Lonely Eyes" is a close second. Should be the song to get him back to #1, but I'll wait to see the digital sales before I declare it a lock for the #1 spot.

I really like this one. It's nothing new for today's radio climate, but I really didn't expect anything unusual or unique from Chris. That said, does every song have to talk about "running every red light." Geez. A new line please.

Country radio should embrace this pretty quickly. Comes across as a safe lead single choice than anything breaking new ground. That being said, this track has crossover appeal with the way it's produced. If that's the goal, it's a great effort. His voice is World Class. Will be exciting to see what the other material sounds like as it seems he's raised the bar here.

Chris Young is very much a country singer and happy to be 'just' that.

We all want him to sing traditional songs like "Neon", but this is a great song. Voice sounds great, nice hook. Should be a big hit.

"I'm Comin' Over" currently sits at #2 on the country iTunes chart. Pretty good start for Chris.

Was pretty much surprised that Chris Young is the highest new entry in the daily Amazon UK country digital songs rolling chart:

I look at "crossover" appeal as nothing more than expanding your base which should always be the goal in the effort to drive sales. Doesn't mean you have to leave your country roots which would be hard to do for Chris anyway with that rich and very country voice. It's the different and fresh production that lends itself to wider appeal. I think it's a smart and sure choice to lead this new era.

I'm truly pleased to see the reception it is getting already from iTunes and Amazon music buyers. I've also seen a lot of enthusiasm so far from some country radio stations. Looking forward to the video as well when it is released. I'm sure that will only help create additional excitement surrounding this song. I love it. Vocals never cease to enthrall the listeners. I'm also really impressed by the lyrics and production. Very radio friendly.

Another stellar song by Chris Young! This will be another top 10 hit if not a #1 hit for him.

I like this but lyrically it is SO similar to Tomorrow. I hear "Goodbye" in the way he sings the verses, the lines all kind of go together without much of a pause between them. I am really digging this though.

True.
This may be the first song I can think of from a guy singer (or girl) that includes literally talking to themselves about "closure" in the chorus. Not a plus imo.
Otherwise happy to hear new music from Chris. Think this can do well for him.

Up to #5 on iTunes...guess this one is catching on.
The music is nothing groundbreaking, but I feel like this song is a much better showcase of his vocal abilities than the singles off of A.M.

#1 on iTunes is charting new territory for Chris since his 2006 debut with RCA. He will also have the highest radio add totals by far of any previous single launch including "Tomorrow" in early 2011. Look for things to ramp up in a big way in terms of public exposure which will significantly dwarf what he's experienced in the past.

It must've hit #1 all-genre but it's now at #3 on the second day of release. This song has a GREAT shot at debuting at #1 or #2 on the Digital country single chart next week.

No, it didn't hit #1 on iTunes all-genre...#3 is as high as it's gotten. An iTunes all-genre #1 would be impossible right now for someone like Chris. The #1 song, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again", sold almost 250,000 copies last week. Chris would have to sell an extreme amount of copies in a very short amount of time to ascend to the #1 spot even briefly. Kworb has iTunes pop bars here. "I'm Comin' Over" is still increasing, but it's only selling 58% of what the #1 song is selling. Walk The Moon's "Shut Up And Dance" is at #2 and is selling about 75% of what "See You Again" is selling, and I doubt Chris can overtake either song. This is easily #1 on the iTunes country chart, though, and getting up to #3 all-genre is incredibly impressive. Chris' sales will start to taper off in the next couple of days, but as you said, maybe he can challenge "Girl Crush" for the #1 spot on the country digital songs chart this week.

Well, That's certainly true about the #1. See You Again actually scanned 251,341 last week and has nearly 2 million in 9 weeks (it was 280 the previous week). Chris could contend with Walk The Moon but I doubt it. Either way, though it'll be a photo finish for #1 on the Country chart and he'll get 60-80k downloads next week.

This is pretty damn good. I did love "Lonely Eyes," but this is easily better than anything else he gave us on A.M. by far. Reminds me a bit of "Tomorrow," though not quite as strong -- still solid though and he sings the fire out of it. I'm really happy with this, much more than I was when he came at us with "Aw Naw" as his last new single. Looking forward to his album and I'm hoping it's much better than his last, because he has one of my favorite voices from the male country crop.

#2 best country selling single at 71,000. Congratulations, Chris Young.
Debuts at #8 on the mongrel chart.

Crazy just how well this song sold out of the gate. I feel like Chris Young should be a lot bigger than he is. Hopefully this era will help restore him to at least the height he reached when he had 5 consecutive #1 hits.
