I'll be honest. As much as I dislike songs like "Renegades" "Stolen Dance" "Riptide", you know wich ones.., I still heard at least a tad of an alt vibe. This song however has 0% alt vibe. It baffles how this got on the chart? It's saving grace is that it's eons better than those mentioned above, but still... Crazy Fucking year for Alt charts 2015

Crazy f**king year for Alt charts 2015 I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I imagine that listening to this after, say, "Riptide" and "Renegades" would feel so much like a breath of fresh air. And one thing that I've always loved about the Alt format is that, sometimes, it's willing to give just about anything a chance, as long as it's actually trying something different than the norm...and this sure as hell is different. I totally get where you're coming from, by the way. It's not, by any stretch, a "conventional" Alt track. But maybe that's why I like it so much in the first place.

I mean, this is straight ahead rock, especially the chorus, i. e. the chords, the drums, the vocals, and even IMO the lyrics - but I don't know where else they'd send this except for Alternative, unless you guys think Active Rock would play something this light
It would fit in well on a Classic Rock station - not that that's a possiblity

If I got "Riptide" and "Renegades" back to back on my Alt station; I'd start searching for a new Alt station.

I don't mind this charting on Alt at all. It's really catchy. Boring isn't a factor. The worst that could happen is this gong to #1. I'll be honest. Crazy f**king year for Alt charts 2015 ok LOL!!!that was actually before it charted. Didn't think it would actually happen. It's still catchy and not abysmall, but it makes no sense how it is jumping up the chart. Plus me saying that it has 0% alt vibe, doesn't mean I didn't want it to make some sort of appearance, just not overtake the fucking chart. #31-40 woulda been believable. ;)

I don't mind this on Alternative. It doesn't seem very alternative, but at least it's not pop.

I feel like the chorus would work on Active Rock, but the verses probably wouldn't, and since the song starts out with the verses you'd get all these people saying wtf is this

True story. 91x played this inbetween "Dani California" and "Dreamers" and it sounded very WTF-ish.

So is this album in stores or something? I listened to samples of the songs and I liked what I heard, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

Define "stores." If you're talking about big box retailers, those chains have long been phasing out their CD stock. If you're talking about indie record stores, I would think you could find it there.

Shadows In The Dark - do you still buy physical CDs? If you do, that's pretty awesome Yes I do. People need to realize the beauty and satisfaction of holding a physical CD in their hands. Also, waiting for the CD to come out makes getting new music a lot more enjoyable than just downloading it IMO. The Party Captain Unfortunately I only have the "big box" retailers (Best Buy, Target, etc) near where I live; I have not seen an indie record store, well, anywhere. I'd think they'd be carrying this since it sold over 17k its first week, and they still carry relatively lesser known releases as well.

I have probably 500-600 CDs. Over 15,000 songs on my iPod in total. The difference is, I haven't bought a CD since 2004.

To be honest, I've never bought a CD in my life. However, I do collect vinyl with my dead. I think our collection is like 650+ at the moment. There may not be a whole lot to do in Mobile, but we have a great record store.

I would only equal that amount with 12 inch vinyls. 80s Hi NRG, Disco and Freestyle. I don't usualy buy CDs. The latest was Foo Fighters "Sonic Highways" next will probobly be Atlas Genius new one.
