So we need to create a viral video because of someone's unofficial personal decade list has Blurred Lines dropping farther than they want? I will get right on it :o

Someone needs to create a viral video to help the song Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke re-enter the Billboard chart's for a least one week. It needs to be higher in the Decade-End list as All About That Bass ended up beating Blurred Lines it needs to at least jump ahead of that song. Lol! Best post in a while. If manipulating the charts was only that easy!

Based on my calculation (which is close to reality) "blurred lines" needs another 300 points to outclass the Meghan Trainor craziness. If you let it renter for 1 week then better make it top 10 (no. 10 gathers between 300-400 points). If you failed that (like, let it land upon no.11) then not a chance bro.. Curious why you're such a fan of "blurred lines" or "radioactive".. If I were you I am to be bringing wonderful songs like "royals" or "shake it off" fancy free again

Setting aside, the obsession for someone's personal decade chart, a question for those who think creating a "viral" video is pretty simple.
Do you know what a "viral" video actually is?

Why would I want a song as shitty as Blurred Lines to be any higher on the decade end list?

He is following the "Billboard Decade End Chart" created here and believing it is an official chart rather than a prediction or guess as to what it could be.
I think it is great that you created the prediction thread but it is still a personal chart. Passing it off as official is incorrect

It needs to be higher in the Decade-End list as All About That Bass ended up beating Blurred Lines it needs to at least jump ahead of that song. Most if not all of these fan-driven campaigns to either all collectively download the song at once (download days), intentionally make a viral video/vine, or to intentionally sabotage/ruin another artist to boost their favorites (hiding their CDs at the store or slandering them online and getting that to trend on Twitter) have failed to varying degrees. There have only been a few such ones that were even moderately successful. Is it really going to affect you and your life personally if that Meagan Trainor song winds up doing better in the Decade-End list? There are people starving in the world right now. And there are people who don't even have electricity or running water. They have no idea who Meagan Trainor or Robin Thicke are even if they did, it's likely that they wouldn't care.

Why so serious bro? I can understand his obsession towards one act or one song. I used to have this kind of thought as well but I just didn't present it in any of my posts.. Your point is not bad, but people's need is different so it's not exactly on point to compare him with people in third-world country. Some may want water, some others are in need of electricity while there're people who just want to see their admired artist to perform well so that he/she feels more content. Anyway, personally I love this kind of itty bitty idiosyncrasy, because I have a really strong preference of one artist over another and I believe that's what makes one who he/she is.

In your logic should anyone wants something then he/she should not get it just because what they want is more advanced than clean water?? Doesn't make sense bro.

You could also film one of your relatives in bed with the flu and post it on youtube. That would make the video "viral"?

A lot of people are tired of this song. It's already one of the biggest songs of all time. Ain't gonna happen.

Radioactive lasted a record breaking 87 weeks on the Hot 100 Peaking at 3# probably if someone makes a viral video then that can help re-enter Radioactive for a least a week. First this and then now? Gosh.

I actually still love Blurred Lines, but even I'm not stan enough to care about its placement on the decade end list.
When you have a plan for Adele, let me know about it though.

A viral video for Blurred Lines... are you ready to deal with Marvin Gaye's family suing you because you were inspired to create the video by the song?

It won't work anyway. Billboard changed the rules so that in order for a song to re-chart, it has to gain on multiple metrics: streaming, sales, and airplay. Good luck trying to get a spike for it in airplay!!

Good luck trying to get a spike for it in airplay!! When was this? For songs at least 2 years old, I thought you just need to accumulate enough points to reach the top 50? For newer songs, yes, you need to show gains.
