Was he with Mercury for "The Dollar"? If he was, then I'm surprised - I always thought they dropped him after Rebelbilly or whatever it was (lol...) flopped so bad.

Carolina Rain is currently in the studio with producer Justin Niebank, working on the follow-up to their debut Equity Music Group CD release, Weather the Storm. The first single from the new CD is expected this spring.

^They're still with Equity, right? I can't remember - with all of the artists dropped and in danger of being dropped in the past months it's hard to keep track.

MAR 31Neal McCoy "Rednecktified"(Rhino Records) Source: Allaboutcountry You have GOT to be kidding me. I love Neal and all. But that title sounds like a horrid version of any other redneck song that has been on radio recently. I sure do hope it's good. I REALLY liked 'Billy's Got His Beer Goggles On', which actually sounds like another dumb title.

Yeah, I sure hope Neal's song is better than what the title sounds like.

thats probably because it debuted higher than they expected this week and it will most likely be close to top 30 next week so they will move it up so its not top 10 before its released

It's good that Universal South gives him and other artists all of these "chances." It's a pretty well known label which doesn't drop an artist when they miss they top 40.
