Might as well pull the plug on this one and give "Girl of the Summer" a shot. This is just treading water at this point. Hasn't done a thing since it hit top 30. Completely agree. It's time to pull the plug and get "Girl of the Summer" out on the radio waves. Assuming that's what they release for the third single, I think it has the potential to revive this album and still manage a couple more singles thereafter. For what it's worth, I've often been listening to "Girl of the Summer" and BO's "21 Summer" back to back (they sound so good together!).

While I'm also really hoping for "Girl Of The Summer" next, I know that they aren't planning on moving on from "Running For You" yet. They've had a lot of advertising for this single the last few weeks, including this huge ad that displays when I open up the AllAccess page: I'd like to see this one get into the top 20 (or at least close to it), and then they can release "Girl Of The Summer". Even if "Girl Of The Summer" doesn't get released until May or June, it'll be just fine if it keeps climbing through the fall and into the winter.

You don't think this is a last push type of thing/last ditch effort to see how high they can get it before moving on to the next one?
As much as I love this song, I'm ready for another one and I agree, it needs to be "Girl of the Summer" and the timing that you said jhomes, sounds good to me! I do know that he has been working on new music already but that's not saying much because he's always working on new music, lol.

You don't think this is a last push type of thing/last ditch effort to see how high they can get it before moving on to the next one? Its not a "last push" sort of maneuver; this is a typical ad that labels put running on both All Access' cover page and Country Aircheck's email the past week for a single in the 30's or 20's of the singles chart, although that one is slightly different. MCA will probably try and soak this for a top 20 peak when it's all said and done.

Ugh, well one can only hope.. the issue with Kip not getting played on country radio is getting rather old.

Ugh, well one can only hope.. the issue with Kip not getting played on country radio is getting rather old. His time is going to come (again). People know who he is, so that's not an issue. His material is too good, he's going to keep trying, and one of his songs will connect. I think Girl of the Summer is that song, but even if it doesn't get released, I firmly believe he will end up getting radio success at some point again. His Wild Ones tour was extremely successful, was selling out night after night, has a crazy big fanbase, along with great music. He's scuffling right now on the charts, but he'll find his way back on radio.. I'm sure of it. .

Kip Moore debuts some new songs at songwriters show in Nashville. Says he hopes to have new music out this year. Sounds Like Nashville

So that probably means that "Running For You" will be the last single. In which case I'm upset since it feels like this album had so many single choices.

Actually, I expect them to drop "Wild Ones" to radio before moving on. Just cause Kip may want a new record out this year it's more likely to happen in 2017.

Do you have knowledge of that being the final single from the album? Or just a hunch?

I'd love to see another single, but Wild Ones strikes me as DOA as a radio single. Girl Of The Summer is probably the only remaining chance at a radio hit for Kip from this album (and maybe Complicated)

I'd be really disappointed if Wild Ones got released. Girl of the Summer/What Ya Got On Tonight are the only two that I see as hits

I would still bank on one more single, too. But if the label believes that another single will require as much work to get up the charts as "Running For You" did, and Kip has songs already recorded for the next project, I wouldn't be shocked to see them move on after "Running For You" peaks either.

This seems to be starting to find its stride...would make sense to push this one into the top 20-15 so that way he'd have some momentum heading into the next album era (or Girl of the summer)

Guys... this was his first single off of this album. I really don't see them NOT going with another one. Still rooting for Girl Of The Summer right along with y'all.
I was at the Bluebird Friday night and got to hear the new ones! Thought they were great, of course. He was in rare form that night, lol.

"Running For You" is the second single from this album. Or are we going to pretend "I'm To Blame" never happened? Of course sabre14 beats me to the punch.

Oh yeah... well don't I feel like an idiot, lol! Either way though.. I don't see them moving on that fast. Sure, he's got songs.. he's always got songs! Doesn't mean he's ready to release an album. Even if he says he wants it out this year... idk, we'll see on this one.

He could always release a small EP to hold his fan base over until they have more time to develop a full album's worth of material.

Heard him sing a song called "Two Night Stand" at a concert last February.. sounded like a smash to me, wonder if it will make it to a future album.

It may! That is a good one. He's been singing one called "My Baby's Gone" a lot lately and I'm all but sure that'll be on the next one.
He's also THINKING of releasing an all-acoustic EP at some point and that would truthfully be unreal.

"Running For You" actually got a little bit of a spark this week as Kip has gained 350 spins in the last 13 days and a little under 2.6k in audience so it looks like Kip is finally starting to move a bit the last few weeks. Also ever since "Running For You" got discounted to 69 cents on iTunes Kip has now stayed in the Top 40 on iTunes so it's now starting to look like "Running For You" is starting to take off and should at the very least peak around "I'm To Blame" did.

Well after having a huge 5 spot jump on Mediabase last week, Kip has really slowed down this week as Kip only gained 25 spins this week and lost about 200k in audience. Justin Moore managed to pass on MB rather quickly and I have Kip getting passed by Canaan Smith and FGL on BB with the possibility of Sam Hunt "Make You Miss Me" passing Kip as well. "Running For You" is having a slow week and this is one song I can definitely see leaving in the next month if Kip doesn't quite pick back up the pace and pronto. The sales for this song isn't bad but nothing all that outstanding so I wonder how much higher MCA Nashville can get this song.

Did it even hit the Top 20 yet? Gosh, this topic has been around for so long now I simply can't remember... It's like "will he get there this week?" "Won't he get there this week?" ... Any year now, if not

Yikes. At this point (as much as I love him and this song) I say get it to the Top 20 and then pull the plug and put out "Girl Of The Summer"!!!

It won't at least for anytime soon. I have Kip coming in at either #24 or #25 this week depending if Sam Hunt passes Kip as there are no recurrent songs Canaan Smith and FGL will pass Kip. I honestly think this song is nearing the end of the road.
