it's insane how much hot tracks helps songs. like this jumped 40something spots and looked like it would finally start surging up the charts.

If they act now I think they still have a chance of saving this What can they do? Just asking. Send banners out, Payola, discounts, radio interviews, Tv promo? Tv promo I would think would have to be planned out in advance unless it was a nightly ent. type show. I'm just wondering because people always say that when songs are hitting a brick wall.

Well, what have they done right now? Music video, radio release and the hot tracks. It responded very well to the hot tracks feature. They could get her a late night performance, radio tours, a discount during all of this, a proper video.

I just don't think it's strong enough to stand out in a crowd. Pop radio is unlikely to reverse course, and sales/streaming are both lacking. What's next for her? Any word? Favorites? Hopefuls?

You're probably right :/ This stuff should've been done while it was climbing well on radio. Honestly not sure. I haven't listened to the whole album yet, but from what I have heard, nothing stands out as hit material. I guess maybe I Do What I Love?EDIT: Never mind, just listened. Before I had only heard it in a mashup with Get Low and it sounded great, but wow, it sounds dead in its original form.

Dylan :) Her Delirium album is an example of quantity over quality for me. Rather than 10 solid songs with hit potential, it's at least 16 mediocre to meh songs that are all over the place. It's interesting because her last album had the same amount of tracks but it seems far more listenable and well-crafted with a bunch of potential hit singles (some of which became big hits). I think her next album needs to be more focused - and less about quantity.

I hope whatever they decide to push next they will give a proper push, not this. This is becoming a trend. Huge (LMLYD/Lights) > Low teens peak (Burn/OMM) > Underperformance (Beating Heart/SITWYM)

The former was barely given a chance.

The track was removed from PlayIGA's Top 40 playlist, so aside the negative updates the song is getting, Interscope is no longer promoting it. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the page that "Something In the Way You Move" has there is removed too in the following days.
Anyway, I expect another single from Ellie to be released in the States to coincide with her tour, which begins in April there. I hope it will be either "Don't Need Nobody" or "Keep On Dancin'", although I'm rooting for "Lost and Found" as well.

I've said this before, IMO it's not really about one being better than the other. It's just that 'Army' spent like a week picking up a lot of momentum post-freeze and was getting close to the top 50 presumably without any prompting from the label. I think they should have just let it go because 'Army' was starting to catch on naturally. Instead, they meddled and now it's backfiring on them.

Army was "catching on naturally" because it was announced as the UK single well prior to that (no other songs were given any note as singles), combined with her good streak on radio and the label's strength. There was poor communication from Interscope to an extent, but it didn't really affect much in the end imo.

I'm completely devastated. This is by far her best single in years and it just tears me up to see all this happening.
Don't Need Nobody for single #3! I feel that one is a guaranteed one, but they gotta promote it this time around.

This sounded like a surefire smash to me (still does). It's pure radio candy
Don't Need Nobody should be the next single

Oop. Oh well.
Give Me Keep Me Dancin' please. That song is just so wicked. This album is still salvageable, based on all the ear candy left unreleased. Don't Need Nobody and Don't Panic are also great choices. Still down for Army if they want to release it later and give it a push as a dramatic scene in a TV show or movie and BOOM. I think The Greatest would also work for an emotional-type song. Hell, even give me Heal with a rapper and it should be a rhythmic smash.

No promo at all. Lazy tour video.
Huge names like Adele can probably get away with little promo, but Ellie isn't at that level.
Really like the song, and Ellie, so it pains me to see it die this way, but it's not a huge shocker.
