Thinking Out Loud FINALLY makes a #1!!! Take that Watch Me!! :) The best part? Silento's gonna get blocked AGAIN by Uptown Funk next week due to it not fading nearly as fast as all of the other grammy-boosted songs on itunes. That is, if it isn't still blocked by Thinking Out Loud's momentum from last week. Oh, and throw See You Again in there too (if it leaves the chart). I think Watch Me will pass Thinking Out Loud. And LOL at Watch Me still not getting a #1. I personally never like to root for UF in anything, but I would love for UF to stay above Watch Me forever to make sure Watch Me never gets a chance at a #1

It's below Wildest Dreams which just fell off the chart (under #50). Trap Queen wouldn't stay even without the new recurrent rule.

Would it and/or Thinking Out Loud have been on the chart the previous week? Break Up In A Small Town was #5 the week after it dropped out from #47 and these two were both top 3 so I'm guessing they probably still would be. So "Trap Queen" could've gotten 58 weeks on the chart :'( SUAD would've probably gotten close to if not hit 60 weeks too...

Well, looks like UF managed to stay ahead of SYA this time. At this point, what can even beat it anymore until it slips under spot 50? I suppose there's Stitches, but that song's still a ways from 52 weeks. I'm thinking UF has 20 weeks locked down. Crazy how it might last until the winter hit dethrones it.

Too bad that new recurrent rule was introduced, because it really would've gathered up a lot of weeks on the Hot 100 had it not been.

All Of Me is still on the chart? Sheesh, is that song ever going to die? It's been 2 years since that song was a hit.

After all, he is a legend ;) *crawls back into corner* I'm surprised nothing has been able to topple Uptown Funk yet! It is a shame that we will never know how mant weeks it would've managed to accumulate without the new rule, but I think in the long run, this rule will be a good benefit for keeping the chart fresh.

It is a shame that we will never know how mant weeks it would've managed to accumulate without the new rule, but I think in the long run, this rule will be a good benefit for keeping the chart fresh. I'm pretty sure we'll know how many weeks it would've lasted as soon as something manages to dethrone it, give or take a week or two. Once it starts dipping below spot 50, that's when songs that dropped out of the top 50 will appear above it. There's a little wiggle room (for example, if no songs drop out the week it would've dropped below 50, or if a few songs make huge drops out of the top 50 even lower than UF that week), but overall I would say that would be the only method that would be somewhat accurate. Nothing else besides Stitches is on track to get knocked out by the rule, and I expect UF to get knocked out before that happens.

Only 1 song went recurrent out of all those piled up in the low 40s last week? Damn. Oh well, I guess there's next week.

Not sure The Hills can make it, since its been kind of collapsing lately. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be at least on the verge of falling off when 52 weeks comes. Stitches probably has the best chance of dethroning UF considering it still has a bunch of airplay.

So there's that massacre I was waiting for. Surprised none of them even got above #4. Does this mean that SYA and LO are back in the 40s and UF is more safe than I thought?
Also, wow, Disturbed managed to get the original Sound of Silence to return. Pretty neat.
