Recurrents This Week Last Week Two Weeks Ago Weeks Title, Artist Peak 1 1 1 17 #1 17 wks Uptown Funk!, Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars 1 17 weeks at #1. Something it didn't pull off on the Hot 100. I'm still very glad it didn't, but very disappointed at the same time.

So there's that massacre I was waiting for. Surprised none of them even got above #4. Does this mean that SYA and LO are back in the 40s and UF is more safe than I thought? Also, wow, Disturbed managed to get the original Sound of Silence to return. Pretty neat. I still hate this recurrent rule. Uptown Funk would probably have 73 weeks on the Hot 100 right now -_-

Wow, UF must be in the 30s right now if it was still charting.

Week after week, the chart proves that Uptown Funk got screwed by the new recurrent rule when it could break multiple records and reach higher positions on both Decade-End and All-Time charts.

This would be its 74th week. 2 more until it reaches I'm Yours levels of longevity. I'm wondering if it could've beaten The Twist on the all time charts if it wasn't killed off early? Maybe not considering the weighting, but this chart run is truly something else.

This would be Uptown Funk's 74th week in Hot 100 if the top 25 recurrent rule doesn't exist.

Yes, I get it. Uptown Funk was impacted by the recurrent rule. It would indeed still be charting on the Hot 100 if not for this rule. It would be challenging for longevity records from Radioactive and others.
The personal all-time charts and decade charts that people have would not be impacted. blah blah blah
Rather than re-hash this every week, I hope we find something new to talk about at some point.
BTW - This thread is not about the Hot 100, this thread is about the Recurrent chart.
19 weeks at #1, the leaders in this category are Gangnam Style and 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'

This would be Uptown Funk's 74th week in Hot 100 if the top 25 recurrent rule doesn't exist. 75th. 56 weeks on the Hot 100 and 19 weeks here. Surprised that SYA, LO, and SUAD are still doing so well. It feels like the longevity of hits overall has taken a nosedive since the fall. Besides these few songs that have been sticking around for over a year, everything's been dropping like a rock down the charts once their top 10 runs have ended.

^ still makes me sad, they didn't give it more push than it should have, the album sales have fallen as well without a song propping it up. Oh well :(

Looks like this will probably be UF's last week that it would've been on the chart.. All these Prince re-entries are gonna push out more songs, which is gonna raise the point threshold. I'm not even sure if it would still be on the chart now. With The Hills being pushed out early, I think UF's run at #1 might be done.

If Prince's songs can't renter the hot 100 in the top 59, I don't think they can go #1 on recurrent. If we didn't have the top 25 rule now, UF would still be in the top 40 area. DAHM dropped out of the top 50 this week resulting it to come here, but at #2, so that is how you can really tell where UF would really be.

Prince #1, Uptown Funk drops to #5
I think we can confirm, recurrent rule or not, that everyone's favorite song is no longer top 50

Prince #1, Uptown Funk drops to #5 I think we can confirm, recurrent rule or not, that everyone's favorite song is no longer top 50 Oh definetly, if Hands to Myself & Down in the DM are in front of it, it's not top 50 anymore. Hoping #13 can re-enter next week, it probably will have a solid shot with the impending drops of the Bey and Prince songs.

Damn, even Hello couldn't survive the Prince/Bey onslaught, and that song was #36 last week. That is insane. I suppose the recurrent chart is gonna be a mess for a few weeks.

I saw that "My Boo" was ranked high on iTunes; I didn't see it on sale, so what spurred the interest, something that went viral?

So how many weeks would Uptown Funk have gotten on the Hot 100 without that rule?
