This Sunday is gonna be its 9th week on the chart on pop radio. It has a positive radio update so far today. It's been pretty steady. And I meant for Britney standards. WB and PG were both dead in like 6 weeks. For Britney, this is a small step towards improvement, but this is not being fully improved. This is still fizzling out fast, regardless of her recent history. I wouldn't call this trajectory "fizzling out fast": 29-23-21-21-19-21-21-20

It's stalling and is likely going to be out after 10 weeks. That's still fizzling out fast.

I was thinking a lot about Better as a single too while partaking in my daily Glory sacrament today. I've stanned hard for it since the first listen and it may be one of the songs on the album with the most potential to appeal to the widest possible audience. I don't know, at this point I'm just spinning wheels here with what the hell should be next. I leave it up to them and sit back and hope for the best. Unless it's Clumsy, in which case bring on the apocalypse.

They need to release Do You Wanna Come Over? next or Better if one of their goals is to push the Deluxe Edition. To further back off Active Aggressive with it being a DE only track it could help push digital sales as well.

I am rooting for Better and hoping it goes the way of Super Bass. If it's going to happen though, it needs to happen soon, while trop house or whatever the hipsters are calling it. Of the other excellent bonus tracks, the only way I see No Seas Cortes being a hit is if they add Mr. Worldwide to it (where is charismatic when you need her?!) and sped it up a tad. He could hop right on quickly during her Spanish spoken word bit. Other than that, yeah, I am pretty perplexed regarding singles. It sucks that Britney can't get a smash with a moody midtempo like Make Me when Selener can get several. Even though technically Britney sells it better, Liar would be a smash in the hands of a say...Carrie Underwood but for Britney? Nah. I still stan for Make Me though. It's such a smooth track and G-Eazy adds so much swagger to it. Good job with such a killer first single, chart placement be damned. I say Top 20 is respectable, especially given the taste left in the general public's mouth after BJ. I agree Better as a single. I'm torn between Better/ Clumsy for second single then PS/ Just Luv Me / Man on the moon; her label might as well take risks with this album. How does MM compare to #beautiful CHR wise? When this single was released I thought it was her Ray of light/ Emancipation album. Now it may be her Erotica? Not sure about the Erotica comparison. That album had two top ten hits and some of the best visuals of Madonna's career.

Also i adore clumsy but idk how I feel about it being a single.

It's about middle-ish in terms of my album ranking but I swear Slumber Party sounds like the most radio friendly and mostly likely to hit on the album, so hopefully they go with that next, it would be a very wise choice. It's not about what is my favourite, it's about what I think is best commercially.
I'd put Just Luv Me out there too but it sounds a bit too much like Make Me sonically so needs Slumber party between, so JLM can be single 3.
Ideally in my fantasy world radio would eat up Better, If I'm Dancing and Man on the Moon, but I don't think they would.

Yikes at the audience loss for today, but at least the bullet isn't collapsing. I'm still really surprised this wasn't buoyed more by the iHeartRadio connection, but oh well. This is also holding surprisingly well on iTunes -- hopefully there's some sort of reminder of this during the Ellen skit today.

Honestly the iHeartRadio connection is probably why it's been pretty steady that past 4-5 weeks

After listening to the album a bunch of times, Slumber Party definitely seems like the best choice for second single, it's just so catchy and fun to sing along to. It also doesn't sound like a 'typical' Britney song, thus many people would fall in love with it before being put off by it being "Britney Spears" (sadly this happens a lot because most people, especially the younger generation, have zero respect for her... even if they like her music they would never admit to it publicly). I don't see any other song on the album performing well after Make Me underperformed even with all the promo she did, and frankly I doubt even Slumber Party would become a big hit (as it should), I guess this time around we will just have to enjoy the music for what it is and don't expect any sort of chart success.
PS Love Me Down is my #2 choice. (Do You Wanna Come Over? sounds too much like a Blackout reject/Gay-club banger imo, and it's not even particularly good at that)

I have never understood why labels don't take advantage of that strategy more often with catchy bonus/deluxe tracks? Especially for post 3rd singles. Could be a fantastic way to push single sales after the album has been out for a bit, but Super Bass is one of the only times I've ever seen it happen (and look it worked brilliantly). Brit's own He About To Lose Me for example probably would have smashed it as the 4th FF single.

The only Deluxe track that could be a single is Liar because you can relate to it? Because its the highlight of the deluxe tracks for most of the people I've talked about. Why would I relate to "Liar"? If you're gonna throw something up in the air, might as well be direct about it...

So bizarre to see a Britney song linger around top 20 for so long but just not go anywhere. What is radio's deal with this anyways? They don't even seem to know.

Yep! Pretty impressive to see this song holding on iTunes with no radio support.

Just luv me should not be a single. It's too similar to make me so why release something that's similar if it didn't do great. Safest choice to hop on the bandwagon from Bieber and DJ Snake/Major Lazer would be better. Smash even though its not my fav on the album.

Honestly this should've been after Femme Fatale, Glory. BJ is not bad it has grown on me with some tracks I usually pass on (Chillin, Brightest, Perfume original mix). I think Body Ache would've been a hit along with Till its gone / it should be easy. Better is a safe choice I agree.
Heard MM on 103.7 they randomly play it every couple of weeks and it sounds so much better with summer coming to an end. Highlight.

I honestly believe it didn't from what we've seen, but still almost anything worked better than what we got... The good news out of all of this is the last time Britney had a string of poorly received vids like she currently does were the Blackout ones, and they came back and blew us all away with Womanizer's vid. So hopefully this criticism of the video (and Perfume's and PG's to a lesser extent) lights that fire for her and her team on the next one.
